Best in Dunfermline
We had to find temporary accomodation while we waited for our house purchase to go through. I am so happy we chose Sweet Chestnut, room feels brand new, it's clean and quiet and staff is amazing. Special thanks to Jan and Elaine who made us feel extremely welcome :)!

Nice but could be better
Accessible room was provided as requested, the bed was split into two singles which was dissappointing. Room was clean. No tea and coffee provided but there was a kettle, cups and spoons. The tv was dissappointing, not many channels and rhe guide was blank The big let down though were the pillows... the were too bulky and uncomfortable. Breakfast at the sweet chestnut was lovely, piping hot and tasty.

Discreto
Quiet location and fairly clean but two major issues, no one was at the reception so we had to go to the nearby restaurant to check in, check-out, and whenever we needed something. Heating was not working properly. It showed 24 C in device but it was definitely much less than that. Given the near 0 temperatures outside it wasn't a restful night and there wasn't any other covers to put on beds.

Room was adequate, although not much room for luggage if staying for a long time. Bed was really comfortable. Staff were very friendly. The carvery we had wasn't the best (maybe down to the time we ate: 3.25pm. ) Lots of choices food choices in the area. Venue was chosen for ease of access from the main road and close to Edinburgh.
