Our stay
Cara checked us in and she was very friendly and helpful. The first night there I used the red blanket in the drawer instead of getting under the sheets and I woke up with bites. The next night I slept under the covers and found a few more bites in the morning. We had one more night there and I decided to let the office know about the bites and that there might have been possible bed bugs. There were nice about it but then security came to make a report and I was told due to regulations they had to move my room. I completely understand the reasoning behind that but we were moved to another whole building when it appeared to me that there were a lot of vacant rooms in the building that I was already in. It was very frustrating to have to move luggage, a dog, bags and a child into the car to move one building over at 8:30pm to only have to unload the car into another room to check out again at 10am. It would have really easy to just move things from one room to another within the same building.

2/10 Poor

Heated pool closed, uncomfortable.
You could feel the bed springs through the mattress. The sink had no room to lay out your bath items. Just a bowl. The year round heated pool was closed even though it was clean and steaming hot. I got two different reasons from two different staff. This is the reason we chose the hotel in the first place

My husband & I both loved when we were told we were going to be in a corner room with no windows. Made us both feel so secure & kept light from coming in at all.

8/10 Very Good

Made the reservation for 2 nights on Expedia. Looked for a pet friendly place, we had dog. When I was checking in, I let them know we had a dog. She then said there was a "$100 non-refundable deposit" for the pet. If its non-refundable, its not a deposit, it is a fee, call it what it is. She said that because we made the reservation through a 3rd party. Should take my $100 "non- refundable deposit" and clean the stains in the carpets in the room (not from us).

8/10 Very Good

The cleanliness of the hotel was good. The beds were very comfortable. The carpet needs to be replaced but other than the disrespectful drunks with their foul, offensive language and parking arrangements of their trailers that took some much needed parking spaces; it was ok. We will NEVER book again if the “Rod Run” is scheduled to be there at that time.

Less than Expected
Definitely disappointed. I wasn't expecting amazing. I was just wanting an average stay with a dark room to sleep in. Well, the room wasn't dark, and the room was barely on the lower end of average. The room didn't have carpet like it showed in the pictures. Cheap LVP flooring was very warped and if you walked from the bed to the bathroom, it required shoes unless you like the bottom of your feet to be black and sandy. Shower didn't have enough pressure to rinse the shampoo from your hair and the bathroom sink faucet leaked so bad that you'd soak whatever was on the counter around the sink. Plus, pet friendly means that you get to pay an extra $100 when you get there b/c there isn't a place to say that you are bringing a pet on the booking form. The front desk clerk blamed that on the 3rd party booking site I used. Also, I am surprised that the fire marshal doesn't have a problem that the 3rd floor is only accessible from the back of the hotel via one flight of stairs on the very end and one very, very hidden handicap ramp. I could have stayed with family that live in the area and thought I would make things more convenient by staying here. Bad move.
