The resort was very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a burger at the Bayside Grill-it was excellent. It was a little pricey, we shared the burger & had 2 iced teas, our bill was $36. The adult pool is a great idea for those of us not traveling with children.

Beautiful Southern Charm & Comfort at The Grand

Wow! Beautiful and historic hotel in the most charming location. Beautiful beach area, excellent pool area with family pool and separate adult pool, good restaurant/food options, and very welcoming staff. Our room (in the Spa building) was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom. We didn't want to leave and we plan to return as soon as possible. The surrounding area of Fairhope and Point Clear exceeded our expectations- many great restaurant options and great shopping. The locals were king and helpful. This was the highlight of our summer!

We loved everything except our rooms were booked together and our room were on different floors. We were told they would at least be on the same floor by a staff member.

Rooms need remodeling

My husband and I were looking forward to our first stay at the Grand Hotel. We were very disappointed in the accommodations. The property is lovely, but our room was poorly decorated and the furniture was so old and worn it should have been thrown out. We had thought to meet friends there in the future, but we will never be back.

Felt very nickled and dined for everything and I wish some of the fees and all had been more transparent upfront I don’t mind spending money I just like knowing how much upfront or vaguely how much.

Close to excellent

We love the Grand Hotel yet there were noise issues between the rooms with TV sounds being unusually prominent in the Spa building. Maid service was incomplete with failure to refresh certain items like the coffee service and water.
