Buona posizione a 50 metri dalla metro Southwark che porta al centro a westminster o london bridge in 1 minuto (una fermata).la zona è poco movimentata c' è un comodo mini market a 100 metri e un paio di birrerie nel raggio di 200 metri.Adatto a chi esce la mattina e torna dopo cena. Ottima e abbondante la colazione a buffet in albergo (prendi quello […] che vuoi con 9 pound a testa).Stanza pulita ,letto comodissimo!ottima la doccia molto larga e piacevole.,bagno stile camper di lusso in vetroresina.tv LCD (che trasmette la Rai ) con presa USB comodo per ricaricare iPhone etc. Camera senza frigo e senza armadi.c' è un assorta di attaccapanni con 5/6 stampelle e dei comodi ripiani dove riporre maglie etc. Consiglio di farsi assegnare un camera in un piano alto perché al piano terra c'è un motore dell'' aria condizionata rumoroso.io era al 12 piano e lo sentivo leggermente.Hotel moderno e tecnologico!wifi gratuito! Camera un po' piccola, pochi asciugamani, solo sapone liquido da dispenser che sa di bagno pubblico. Tutto il resto è eccellente.

Ottima posizione, struttura praticamente nuova, pulita e moderna. Un ottima sistemazione per visitare la città, sia per lavoro che per piacere. Metropolitana vicina a soli 2 minuti a piedi. Consigliatissimo.

L'albergo e' vicinissimo alla stazione della metro. Le stanze sono piccole e con arredamento povero (tipo ikea e forse meno). I bagni sono dei moduli in vetroresina tipo quelli delle imbarcazioni da diporto. Colazione buona ma da pagare a parte.

We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff were all very efficient, friendly and helpful, our room was nice and we had a comfortable sleep. The only thing that could be improved would be the amount of proper seating for breakfast - for the size of the hotel there were not enough tables. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Ibis London Blackfriars. The staff were welcoming and friendly, rooms airy and clean, breakfast good value for money. Excellent location, an easy enough stroll over the Thames to popular London sights or very short walk to Southwark and Waterloo Tube stations if you don't like to walk. Stopped for 2 nights and from the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough for you, making us feel very welcome. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Southwark station (Zone1 on Tube) Easy to get to from Kings Cross. The first night we stayed was to attend the Theatre and this was only £10 in taxi or again you can use the tube which drops […] you on the Strand. The London Eye is only 1 stop away on the tube also. The bar area was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thomas on the bar was brilliant and very friendly and pizzas very good and reasonably priced. Overall I will defo stop again and cant speak highly enough of this hotel. The hotel is new and clean and rooms were very comfortable. Book in confidence you wont be disappointed. Continua a leggere

Had to change room to a plastic bag over smoke detector. Room was cold, rang reception and women asked me how long my house took to warm up. Finally called maintenance after an irrelevant dialogue regarding the quality of my home heating. Maintenance man was great and fixed problems.

A reasonable place to stay, at a reasonable price, in the centre of London

I found the room to be clean, but the towels looked very grubby and the white bedding wasn't as clean looking as I'd have liked. The room was small but well equipped and the bathroom was adequate. However I found it noisy; there was a constant hum from a generator or something similar and I was also kept awake by the plumbing system for the pod bathrooms. […] My partner and I discussed asking for a different room because of the noise issue, but when we returned to the hotel after a day out, we found that the hotel had lost its electricity supply and the place seemed to be in a state of confusion. We found that our room had no emergency light and to top things off, the water supply was off. After going out for dinner, we returned a couple of hours later to find that the problems were still ongoing. Whilst I recognise that this wasn't the hotel's fault, I did think that it was handled badly. The public toilets quickly became unpleasant to use and none of the taps were working. The bathroom in the room was difficult to use as there was no light whatsoever in there and again, there was no water supply. The hotel didn't offer us bottled water and we had to ask the restaurant if we could borrow a candle light. We were offered no apology for the inconvenience, no offer of a partial refund and there was no offer of finding us alternative accommodation. I wouldn't stay again. Continua a leggere

We stayed here on Saturday night (16 Feb).I chose this hotel first and foremost as it was really well situated. It ended up being even better than expected in this respect: waterloo is only minutes away on foot and the south bank is not much further. The price was also very reasonable given what we could pay for other hotels in the region. Staff were […] friendly and helpful, though we didn't have cause to interact with them much - main example wad that, when we asked about bag storage on the day if departure they offered to let us keep our room for free did pretty much as long as we wanted. There were a couple of negatives: one, we must have been very close to done water piping as I was woken a couple of times during the night by what sounded like a waterfall in the walls. The other flaw was the bed itself which was not especially comfy and, as seems to be the case in every hotel I stay in, we just couldn't get the temperature quite right. The hotel was in a decent location near the tube station and close to central London. It was generally clean but there were some things which let it down badly and we felt it was very overpriced for what you received. The pictures make it look like a boutique hotel but in reality the rooms are very cramped (my wife likened it to a prison cell), you […] get liquid soap which is always a bad sign, the bathroom was a "pod" (a single piece of plastic plumbed in obviously to save money and it showed) and the heating didn't work effectively (took 10 mins to come on and then turned itself off when it felt like it). The room was also so small, it got very stuffy in a short space of time with two people in. It was OK if you're not fussy but we won't be staying there again. Continua a leggere

Not enough irons and ironing boards, I requested one at check in, a further two times that evening and again twice the following morning. One was not to be found which meant I had to wear my previous days shirt for business meetings, the Aldgate Ibis has ironing rooms which works better. This hotel is great. The building was very new and stylish and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and even offered us late check-out for free (we were staying for one night and checking out on a Sunday so I don't know whether this was a factor in the fact it was free) which […] was great. PRO's: Hotel is brand new meaning everything is still nice and undamaged/undirtied by those hotel guests that think a hotel room is something that they can mess up. The lobby area is nice with a decent bar. CONS: In two of the rooms of our group, the heating was not working properly. And in January in London that can be a bit of a bother. No room service […] - they sell food from the restaurant, however nobody to bring it down. It is rather annoying to have to go down and pick up your own tray and take it back to the room. Used this hotel while on a business trip. It had everything I needed, a great location, excellent staff, one of the best beds I have ever slept in, a fantastic reception and bar to hang out in and a cleverly designed, immaculate room. Special word here for a truly exceptional team of staff. They really are wonderful!

This was a new hotel and it looked good. The room was confortable and good for the price we paid, but there was only one blanket and the toilet was really basic with no soap, tooth paste, etc., just the towels.

Stayed at the Ibis for one night after going to an event at the O2. I live in the suburbs and it was fantastic to finish late and not have to take over an hour to get home! This hotel is perfect - a good price for a great location (Southwark tube station is 30 seconds down the road) and with the hotel only opened 3 months ago everything was shiny and […] new! My room was small but space was cleverly utilised and the shower/toilet was like a tardis-like cubicle on a little platform in the corner of the room. Brilliant! Free WiFi, an extremely comfy bed, a kettle, and a flat screen TV and I was sorted. The restaurant was reasonably priced and although the food wasn't outstanding it was plentiful and set me up for my evening out. The staff were lovely, polite and cheerful. I've always wanted to find a reasonably priced hotel in London in a good location for late nights in town and the Ibis is it. The hotel is brand new, dynamic and with helpful / personable staff. Everything was to an extremely good standard, the only tiny issue would be the creaky (but comfortable) bed :) Rooms were v quiet, Southwark tube station just outside was a bonus.
