"Ottimo hotel e personale eccellente"
"Not bad for the price"
The hotel itself is nice it's just located in a ghetto of the city. If you're afraid of foreigners, don't stay here. But, it's a 10 minute walk to Monastiraki. I would stay again.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Nice sized rooms, great stay"
The location was pretty good and the 24 hour reception (with tea!) was a plus! Each floor was painted a different color so that was fun. There is an elevator and balconies on the rooms! The rooms were a nice size as well. All in all, for the money, it was a great stay. Don't be deterred by the location. When you get there it might look a little sketchy […] (especially if it's dark). I had read this before and agreed, but it really is completely safe (and I am the most nervous traveler!!!) Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"very poor quality and service"
the room was dirty, staff unhelpful, in a undesirable area in Athens. No parking except a car park at 10e per day. When we complained to the manager re the dirty bath he was uninterested, he cleaned it but left the hair in plug hole, it advertised deep bath, yes deep but no plug to use it. Near to acropolis so only plus point.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"A really great little budget hotel"
A really great little budget hotel with incredibly helpful staff, a comfy communal sitting room with free internet and free tea and coffee, a room with a fridge, and an en-suite with separate toilet and shower. We had a super stay :)Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Worst neighbourhood ever!!!"
This hotel is more like a hostel, which is situated in the most dangerous area of the entire Athens. The neighbourhood, Omonia, is so full of immigrants, dealers and other seedy figures! Although the hotel staffs are kind enough, I would not recommend this place, especially to female travellers!!! On our way to the hotel, while my friend was asking […] for direction to a nice couple, I noticed that some junkies were lurking around us. The junkies on the street were also making extremely nasty noises to us, which was really scary. What's more, the AC in our room does not work and the door cannot be locked from inside! If you want to have a good time in Athens, I strongly advice you to avoid this area! Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com
"Very happy and will stay here again!"
A little nervous by some of the previous reviews, but we stayed here from May 11 to 17, and then on the 24th of May after a trip to Crete. I think some reviewers have mixed up seedy with ethnic in a part of town that is undergoing some restoration. Much of Athens is actually very, very old, with a large population, and it is a dirty city. With this […] in mind, we had a wonderful stay in the Soho hotel. The staff was great and very accommodating. The lobby area with its games, free bikes to use, free laptop, and free wi-fi there and in the rooms....for the price? GREAT! Remember, this is a typical European hotel....though a decent sized space for one. It's basic, but does offer refrigerators....which is a super plus! The elevator was being worked on one day, so we were allowed to use the staff elevator. No need to complain...just talk to the staff and they'll do all they can to help. We needed to call and confirm with our resort on Crete. We asked the front desk how to go about doing that, when she just dialed the number for us and didn't charge us the obvious long distance. When we came back after a week for our last night in Athens, it was as though we were coming to see relatives. A warm reception and asking about our trip, etc. So helpful and kind! The mobile police unit that is outside during the day? big deal! they are scattered ALL OVER the city, as we came to see. You can't be safer than that! Our group was my husband, myself with our two young teens. Kids loved it! Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"A cheap hotel in a central location"
This hotel has low rates and is good value. The wifi and the TV worked, the bathroom was ok, the hot water was hot, and the fridge was cold. The elevator was under repair for several hours over a couple of days but I was able to use the service elevator. I really liked the central location. I was able to walk to the main attractions of Athens and I […] enjoyed shopping at the nearby municipal market in Athinas Street. My criticisms are that there were no facilities for making a cup of tea or coffee in the room, and the street and surrounding area is rough. There is a strong police presence in the street which I found reassuring. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
I stayed there for a week in April 2012. I booked through two different online agencies, so this review may be repeated if you check different sites. We arrived at 4am. Reception was manned by a charming man, tea and coffee was available, and booking in was efficiently and courteously handled. We were given a room facing the street on the 6th floor. […] It was clean and big enough for the two of us. Air conditioning was quiet, the bathroom had a shower and a bath, the TV received BBC 24 news, and there was a big balcony with a table and chairs. There were two laptops in the reception area. We’d been warned on Tripadvisor that the rooms facing the street were noisy. I didn’t find that, and I hate disturbances at night. It’s on a quiet side street, with the police ‘station’ (actually a table set on the pavement next to the hotel) right outside our door. So we felt safe as houses there. Omonia has a reputation for being a red light area, we saw nothing like that, only illegal immigrants being arrested and taken off in a Police Van. Breakfast cost €4, and set us up for the day. The staff were marvellous. My friend likes her tea ‘English’ style, and after two requests, they were boiling a kettle for her to make her tea. The coffee was filtered, none of that instant muck. I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap hotel in Athens. I’m looking for a gripe – the only one could be that the room wasn’t cleaned every day. But who needs that anyway? "family with children"
Elevator doesn't work often and we were on the 7th floor. Room was musty and had a urine smell. Area is a little shady but the sidewalk outside the hotel seems to be a congregating spot for police officers which actually makes you feel safe. Lots of cheap eating spots around. Staff are helpful, laptops in the reception area with free internet access […] are a bonus. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"Great budget hotel"
Pretty good location - 10 min walk to Acropolis. Hotel is good value for money: free coffee/tea all the time, free wifi. The lounge/reception is very modern/new, while the rooms are less modern. Everything was fairly clean.Recensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"A hotel only for those on a tight budget"
The hotel is located in a poor and unfriendly area positioned next to a burnt out building, there was a police bus and up to ten officers stationed seemingly permanently outside all day, which on the plus side made the walk out more reassuringly safe. Certainly the police were there for every one of the six days of my stay, keeping watch on the dozens […] and dozens of young men loitering around on the street. The hotel itself is run by very friendly staff who all spoke English. I can't fault them for their courtesy and helpfulness. Free Wifi, coffee, board games and the use of a hotel bicycle is provided but nothing further by way of refreshments or facilities are available. My double room was extremely basic and verging on the disgustingly unhygienic. It stuck me during my stay that the place could be transformed with new carpets, a good clean and repainting but as it stands it's not a comfortable stay unless you have a good tolerance of dirt and bad smells. I certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel for those with children or couples looking for a romantic place in Athens to stay. This place is I think only for single travellers on a tight budget or students looking for a central place to stay. So on the plus side the staff were great but on the negative the building interior and the area of Athens leaves much to be desired. When I return to the city it won't be to stay in this hotel, I'll pay that bit extra for somewhere better. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"Soho Hotel in Athens"
the hotel itself was quite good, clean and up to date. although the area which the hotel was in was very scary. We arrived on a saturday night to find that the hotel was situated in the middle of what seemed to be a red light district with prostitutes and other seedy characters surrounding the hotel.
