"Good Value in Munbai"
The staff were friendly and provided good information about getting around Mumbai. The hotel is located on the main shopping street and near Leopold's the world famous bar and restaurant. Good reasonable priced mid range for Mumbai.

I was very suprised how nice this hotel was, very nicely greeted by the front desk, very charming. Super Fast check in, they did it all for you leaving you to go straight to your room, returning passports in 15 mins. Room was great, bed really nice, tv big/new. Only problem I had was frosted glass door on bathroom/toilet who wants that??
"Ascot Colaba Mumbai"
Everything was great except the key card system was broken so we had to have the staff let us in our room every time. They were incredibly apologetic and responsive, but it was frustrating that it took two days to fix it. Still, the staff was incredibly helpful, the location was great, and the hotel was nice.

Only a few minutes walk away from the "Gateway to India" so very handy from a tourist perspective.

Don't be deterred by the rather tired exterior appearance of the Ascot Hotel (it desperately needs a lick of paint!); the interior is much nicer. The rooms are well appointed, fairly big and sparkling. The location is great - you are close to most sights yet on a relatively quiet and leafy lane. "There was hot water!"
Hotel was clean, separate bathroom, room was large. Floors were all marble, but I suppose that is common. The hotel clearly caters to the Gulf Arabs visiting India, so if you are Arab, they have some nice amenities for you (Dubai TV, for example). Overall very nice.

Fantastic, modern, comfortable , and friendly little hotel in the best location in Mumbai in the shadow of the Taj Palace. Our room reminded me of the modern, minimalist, efficient rooms I found in Europe. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. "Ascot Hotel, nær sentrum av Mombai."
Hotellet lå greit til, ikke langt fra Gateway to India og Taj Mahal Palace and Tower. Min kone savnet en uteplass hvor en kunne sitte i solen.

Mycket trevligt hotell med mycket bra placering. Betalning för internet på rummet - dagtid kan man låna en laptop i receptionen.
