I probably wouldn't stay here again if I could help it. The staff was friendly but not very professional. We were given a room by the lobby which was very noisey. The lobby had non-stop traffic thru the night which made sleeping nearly impossible. We asked that our room not be cleaned during our stay to avoid unnecessary traffic and ensure the security […] of our belongings; we just needed fresh towels each day - which i typically do whenever i travel. We were told that we needed to bring our uses towels to the front desk o exchange them for clean towels to ensure no theft of their property - that was a first. The sheets weren't changed until I asked. The breakfast was sparse should be put out based on occupancy. Towels were thin. Very Nice Hotel. Only major problem was the shuttle van timing. The front desk told us & a few other guest what time the shuttle would start, but it did not start until about 45mins. later than originally said. Some guest were very upset & took there own vehicle, which was not a good idea being they were drinking. My husband did not like the small soaps […] in the bathroom. 2 larger soaps would be better than 5 smaller ones. Good to stay at just to go to casino. Our sheets were not changed and asked multiple times to receive extra towels and received none. On our last day overheard 2 maids talking while outside smoking to learn they did not have a single person show up from the maid staff the day before. "You may want to try an alternative"
With a hotel so close to the casinos you would think they would try to capitalize on the families/people that preferred to stay off the grounds of the casino. This is a new hotel, but it is already grimy. The room service will no even make up you bed if you leave a phone charger on it. The staff is moody and make you feel like you are bothering them […] when you have a question. No smiles from the staff at all. The Breakfast Buffet is not worth a dime. Spit in a bucket is worth more. Price is decent, but I will just stay at the Bestwestern Forrest Hotel or he Comfort Inn in Franklin, LA next time....or maybe try New Iberia. Whereas the price was low, so was the quality of the hotel...very disappointing. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the bath towels were thin and poor quality, and the carpet hadn't been cleaned. It was hard to put a number on condition and cleanlinessss of the room because everythiing except the kitchen was very, very nice and clean. Problems: Coffee pot was dirty and had no glass decanter, my husband called front desk and was told someone would be in the next day after 10:00. Toaster was dirty and the bottom was not attached. Stove and pots […] were dirty. No way would I cook in that kitchen. The electricity kept going off in the continental breakfast area. The outside door into Bldg. E never locked. The Hotel is somewhat new, but when I made reservations through Hotels.com and I was told I could have a smoking room..the whole facility is non-smoking. There was no breakfast and we were up for 8:00am due to time change. The juice machine looked as if it had been broken for a while. The employees all gather near the front desk as if a party was going […] on. There was a child that belonged to an employee that was there behind the front desk. The towels in the room were not hotel style towels they looked like they came from Walmart being different colors and real limp (meaning not holding thier shape) I always travel and I stay in nice Hotels and although this one was cheap, I think I'd rather pay the full amount for luxury. I think the owners need to revamp the dress codes for all the employees therefore the guest can identify them from other guest. And the Front Desk employees need to be uniformed all the same with name tags for all. And last but not least, keep the cellphones out of the view of your guest. Great staff, clean spacious rooms, great location for the Casino and the Franklin, Four Corners and Baldwin area. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely use this hotel on our next trip to the area. The hotel was convenient to the casino with plenty parking space. The room were nice and overall all was OK except for one suggestion that I have for improvement. We were in room 114 and when you turned the light on over the sink a vent fan came on that was very loud and annoying even for those who were in the bedroom. This hotel was extremely nice. Very nice amentities and the room decor was pleasant. the ceilngs were high and the room was clean. The bathroom was perfect, however the toilet was a little low and the toilet seat was small. The mini bar was a nice touch, and very tempting at times. It must be a new facility as all the bathrooms had beautiful countertops and the wood floor entry way to our room was very nice.
