ottima posizione,cordialità del personale in reception,ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo,peccato per la mancanza di una vera colazione,visto anche il bell'ambiente dove è solo possibile bere un caffè(€1)

ottimo soggiorno.. Unica pecca..stanze un pò piccole e con poco ricambio d'aria visto che affacciano sull'interno del palazzo in cui ci sono solo enormi tubi metallici! La visuale sulla strada..con enorme vetrata..che si vede sul sito credo sia solo per la matrimoniare superior!

Ottimo rapporto qualita'-posizione/prezzo. Eccezionale per chi vive poco l'albergo a fronte di giornate da vivere alla scoperta della citta' ma pretende pulizia e un bel bagno per rigenerarsi la sera.

Hotel medio-buono, lo definirei un low cost chic! le camere mediamente non grandi, ma comode e dotate del necessario. Ottima e spaziosa la doccia, ottimi i prodotti da toilette, ben insonorizzato, staff gentile, possibilità di lasciare i bagagli in deposito dopo il check-out! posizione ottima, di fianco alla fermata della Metropolitana Gran Via, un […] Mc.Donald sotto, che per le emergenze è sempre comodo, poi la zona pulula di bar e ristoranti, da consigliare specie ai giovani. Ottima albergo e buon prezzo. Posizione ideale per girare a piedi Madrid. Pulito. L'unica pecca della camera è la finestra sull'interno che rende la camera buia (anche con le luci). fermata della metro difronte, un sacco di negozzi, centralissmo, essenziale ma molto bello

Hotel di design nel centro di Madrid, assolutamente da provare data la sua particolarità: la reception-lounge ricorda il salotto di una casa o di un residence studentesco americano, con 2 pc ad accesso libero dove è anche possibile stampare! alla mattina sono disponibili dei croissant ed è possibile acquistare delle cialde per fare il caffè! Anche gli […] altri piani dell'hotel, dove si trovano le stanze, le parete sono tapezzate da immagini USA anni 50-60, sembra un po' di stare a happy days ( l'atmosfera che si respira nell'hotel è quella) le camere arredate in stile molto moderno ed essenziale, ma comunque accoglienti, gli asciugamani vengono cambiati tutti i giorni, cosa ormai rara anche in hotel di categoria superiore. Ottimi i prodotti per la toilette, e la doccia enorme, il bagno non grande, che risulta tuttavia sufficientemente comodo. Tv lcd con canali anche italiani, purtroppo degli spagnoli ho trovato solo dei canali locali e non nazionali, un po' mi è dispiaciuto, perchè essendo spesso in Spagna per lavoro, ci sono dei programmi della tv italiana di cui sono spettatore. Bellissimo il telefono della camera old-style ( come avrte capito l'hotel è in stile finto vintage) con forma del vecchio telefono a ruota, in cui però basta digitare i tasti come su un cellulare, l'ho usato per chiamate interne ad un amico e l'audio era pulitissimo, per un fanatico di telefonia come me dato apprezzabile anche quello, anche se riconosco sia l'ultimo parametro per la scelta di un hotel. Le uniche pecche dell'hotel sono la mancanza di una caffetteria -ristorante, anche se sono presenti distributori automatici ed il frigobar in camera, problemi risolvibili, perchè uscendo dell'hotel ci sono diversi bar-ristoranti ed a pochi metri un famoso Grande Magazzino spagnolo. Il praktip metropol è un hotel che occupa tre piani all'interno di un palazzo d'epoca in condizione centralissima a Madrid (fatico a trovarne di più centrali tra SOL e Gran Via). Scesi dalla fermata della metropolitana ve lo trovate innanzi. Indichero' pregi e difetti del soggiorno: - PREGI: Pulizia eccezionale, stanze nuove, assenza di moquet, vista […] fantastica dall'hotel, insonorizzazione ottima, buon gusto del designer, poltrona di cortesia in camera in stile tardo inglese, coperte supplementari ottime e abbondanti, doppio set di asciugamani completi, colazione comprendente 3 caffe' e cornetti a volontà al prezzo di 1 euro!, personale disponibilissimo e poliglotta, wifi con user e pass forniti per ogni device GRATIS, possibilità di consultare il web da belle e ampie postazioni alla reception - DIFETTI: la reception è al piano IV (se non ricordo male) quindi nessuno vi attende se non un portiere all'ingresso nel palazzo, la via, centralissima è non pedonale ed ho visto di notte che è invasa da decine di prostitute anche sotto il portone di ingresso dell'hotel (comunque nessun problema, c'è molta polizia e nessun tipo di molestia), Il rapporto qualità/prezzo rimane vantaggiosissimo. Consiglio vivamente a tutti la permanenza in questo hotel.

ottimo servizio e posizione dell'albergo, prezzi contenuti e personale molto disponibile. piccolo neo riscontrato: in quasi tutte le camere, doppie o twin, la porta di vetro trasparente in ciascun bagno risulta poco adatta a garantire un minimo di privacy;

L'hotel è in una posizione strategica per visitare la città, ben ubicato rispetto alla metropolitana (fermata Gran Via a 2 passi) ma anche molto comodo per visitare Madrid a piedi. La struttura, recentemente ristrutturata, e gli spazi comuni, arredati con molto buon gusto, rendono la permanenza in albergo piacevole. Le camere, di dimensioni comode, […] sono minimali ma eleganti. Unico neo: il bagno con porta a vetri che non garantisce una grandissima privacy. Loved the quirkyness of the hotel. Its decor was well beyond what you'd expect for the price. No tea making facilities in the room (cafe across the street though) but it was very clean & the towels were changed daily if requested. This hotel is in the very center of Madrid. If you can do with a very small (but very nice) room and close to none hotel amenities, you won't be dissapointed and will get very good value for money. It is now my number 1 option if I have to stay over again.

Just returned from a lovely week long stay at the Praktik Metropol. I had a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again. The location is fantastic - very easy to walk everywhere in downtown Madrid, and also right on the metro. This hotel is clean and modern. That said, there are a couple things that people should be aware of prior to booking: […] (1) The street that the hotel is located on is a pedestrian street and for some reason it is the main hangout for prostitutes to pick up clients. That said - the street does NOT feel seedy or unsafe in any way - there are tons of people walking this street day and night, and I felt completely comfortable with the location. Clearly some people may not like this though, and (2) our room smelled pretty bad. We couldn't find the source of the smell. I never complained about it since we were our of the room most of the time. All in all, I was very happy with the hotel especially given the great deal that we got, which couldn't have been beat. Stayed here for four nights and for the price it couldn't be faulted. Small but well appointed rooms- ours was at the back so no view but it was wonderfully quiet. The hotel position was great with easy access to everything either by walking, Metro or bus. Hotel reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the reception lounge welcoming […] and restful. Don't be put off by 'the ladies of the night' who ply their trade outside! Great hotel! 20 feet from the metro.

Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff. Great view onto mall and surrounding cafes and bars. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided each day. Walking distance to all local tourist attractions. Easy to use metro to go to Segovia etc, very cheap to use metro and Renfe. I felt safe as a female solo traveller in Madrid, plenty of police […] presence. Hotel is next to Gran Via metro and other stations. Would certainly stay again. Although conveniently located near Puerta del Sol, the hotel was a little sketchy. The lights in the hallway were motion sensored and would sometimes not turn on. It made it seem very unsafe, especially since we never saw any other guests in the hallway. The reception complained about noise when we really did not make any, and accused us of stealing […] a bottle of water from the vending machine, when in fact the machine ate our euro. Nice hotel close to Gran Via metro stop. Small rooms, but serviceable. Staff competent and nice. However, step outside at night and place is surrounded by ladies in high heels. enjoyed our stay in this clean and modern hotel, central location, very close to tube station

I surprised my boyfriend to a surprise weekend away in Madrid and found this hotel. It was close to most of the attractions. We only got the tube to and from the airport and to the football stadium and market. Everything else we wanted to see we walked to. We rather take in the whole area rather than just the tube stops. Guy at reception gave us a city […] map which was very helpful. The room was clean and modern, very to our taste. Our only bad bits were, the smell in the bathroom was like sewage. It was so horrendous we didn't even like going in there which was a shame as it was beautiful bathroom. On our first night,our phone rang about 10.45 pm we ignored it as we were trying to go to sleep and then rang again we thought someone had rung it by mistake. Next thing we know there is a knock at the door and before we could get out of bed of even just say hello the receptionist and some other man opened the door. I don't know how on earth they don't know we were in there. We had checked in 6 hours previously. It wasn't to speak to us as he didnt say anything to us the next day. I then felt on edge all night and the next everytime I heard the door slam next door. Which was also very loud as it was right next to ours. Other than that our superior room was big and comfy and a great view of the city with the big open balcony for all the rooms next door. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Good value for money. The location was perfect, right at Gran Via and at the metro stop. The room was small but clean, with a nice balcony. My only complaint is half way through our stay they deactivated our keys and wireless, and we didn't always have hot water for our showers.

Lovely hotel with clean, stylish rooms. Friendly staff with excellent english (which we needed!). Very central, we walked to all the big attractions and had a wander round the shopping area. Very good value for money when we stayed in Jan!

The Praktik Metropol is smack in the middle of the city and right next to the Gran Via metro station exit. Me and my partner took a train from Seville to Atocha Renfe station, walked to the adjoining metro station and took a direct train (Line 1) to Gran Via. It was only 5 stops away and cost us 1.50 euros each, a definite bargain if you compare the […] cost of taxis. It can be a little confusing when you arrive as there are no signs on the ground floor. Just take the elevators on the right to the 1st floor and that is where the reception is. The hotel service was fast, polite and efficient, and they were very obliging with giving us directions and info about city. Our room (Superior) was quite spacious with a separate sitting room, bathroom and double bed. It was very new, clean and the heater worked well. We loved the lounge area (1st floor) with their overstuffed armchairs and 1 euro coffees - very warm and cosy! When we had to catch our flight, we took the metro again and boarded the Airport Express bus from the Atocha Renfe station. It only cost us 2 euros each and was a very fast and efficient service. Never been to Madrid? Than it's ok, cheap, no charm, nice lobby, but rooms tiny, kind of japanese cheap hotels.Area lively and transports close. I have seen better and g same price.Not again.

This location was good, room was clean and nice However the room smelled horrible, like sewage. Had to keep the window open, that opened to the back alley. Nothing special about this place and slightly disappointed.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit shady. Would recommend changing the ground floor. Didn't like the prostitutes that hang around the outside of the hotel at night, but they did not mess with us. Overall it was a good experience.

This review is for Praktik Metropol Hotel at Gran Via. My compliments go to the receptionist. He was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The decor is of the hotel is well defined, consistent, and comfortable. The hotel is well located at the center of the city, directly next to at Metro station. However, most must-see sights are within walking distance […] of the hotel. There was a convenience store in the street directly across C. Montera. There is another 24-hour convenience store directly next door. This is important because the dining schedule was very hard to adapt to. Internet was relatively quick, ask the receptionist for the internet password. One gripe was that the room had two twin beds combined to form a queen-sized bed. These beds were on rollers so they slid away from the initial position as time goes on. Another is that on the first day, there was a homeless man sleeping in the lobby. Only stayed there for one night, but absolutely nothing I can find fault with. A lovely hotel in a perfect location. Some have mentioned the prostitutes on the street outside, but unless you have a moral issue with them their presence will really make no difference to your stay, nor to the view from you balcony. the location of the hotel is very convenient, it takes only 10 seconds to metro. it is very close to those must-see sights. Although the room is small, it is newly furnished and quite tidy.

Photos do not conform to reality. We were disappointed when we first entered the room. It's extremely small with not much space even for our luggages. While the room designs are not as beautifully depicted in the pictures, they are decent. The washing basin is located outside of the toilet - which surprisingly provides added convenience as it allows […] one party to use the toilet while the other can use the basin to brush teeth/wash face. Wifi is good and easily set up. Location is good. Right in the middle of Gran Via and within walking distances to almost all attractions within Madrid. We planned our itinerary such that we avoided taking the metro at all. However, there were prostitutes hawking their trades everywhere below the hotel along the pathway from Gran Via to Puerta del Sol, though it's not too big an issue as this pathway is an extremely crowded one with lots of tourists. Great location! The rooms are immaculate and very nicely decorated. The room I reserved had a king sized bed, so that took up most of the space in the room. This didn't bother me thought since I was alone. Overall a great hotel for the price and I have to say that I was very impressed with the cleanliness overall.

This hotel was exceptional for what we paid. It was easy to get to, the staff extremely helpful. The room itself was simple, clean and comfortable. We overlooked the square. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, quiet inexpensive stay while visiting Madrid.

Perfect location for sightseeing. Only bed and bath. Good for people on budget.

Interior room was quiet but dark and rather small. Wish there was at least one more piece of furniture in the room aside from the bed and nightstands - perhaps a chair. Bathroom is good size. Room was clean. Not sure that air conditioning worked after day one. Room was rather stuffy - had to open windows, probably better that way. Location was great […] in terms of being centrally located and steps away from a subway stop. There are young streetwalkers outside but they are harmless. The Praktik Metropol is a supper 3 star. It's located 20 yards from the Gran Via metro stop; has a Mickey D's next door and was a good value for the money. The location is good for shopping, eating and every Wednesday the bar acroos the street has an all day - beer and sandwiches for only one Euro each. All and all I will stay there again.

The hotel is very small but extremely clean. Since I spend most of my time roaming and sight seeing Madrid, room size was not an issue to me. If you are claustrophobic, then you may not feel comfortable in a single room. Apart from that, the bathrooms are very clean and modern and there is air conditioning (only during the summer and hot months). I […] was there during the transition and during some warm nights, hot air came out of the air conditioning vents due to preset conditions. I had to turn off the air conditioning altogether and open the windows. The area is rather sleazy with lots of hookers standing around when Madrid gets dark. However, they do not solicit and there are lots of policemen standing around. Overall, I feel safe even returning late night to the hotel. If I were returning to visit Madrid, I would definitely stay in this hotel as it is in a great location for a great price with the superb cleanliness despite some not-so-nice things written earlier (they don't bother me at all but just wanna point it out for other potential guests).
