This guest house is not very inviting it looks like it needs some TLC. I think we were the only people staying there despite the sign in the window saying no vacancies. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, but lacked the cosy / homely feel. There was no heating on in our room when we arrived but we thought it would come on later, but when we […] got back it still was not on. My husband went downstairs to check if the other radiators were on, he said they were. Then there was a knock at the door it was the landlady she said she had seen my husband walking about downstairs! I told her there was no heating on in our room, she said it should have come on at 3pm so she went in another room to check the boiler, she said someone must have been playing about with it and they had switched it off! she said sorry about that and the heating came on. The window in the bedroom would not close properly and it was quite windy and cold, so we tried to close it but realised it was broken, there was an annoying whistling noise coming from it so we stuffed it with plastic bags which helped. The breakfast was served downstairs in the basement, it felt cold down there and not very inviting we had cereal to start only 2-3 choices, the cooked breakfast was partly cold and they did not ask us if we would like more toast, we did not see anyone again. nice place to stay. warm welcome , excellent spacious room with large en-suite. parking no problem.

We were greeted with friendliness and smiles and were really pleased with the size of the rooms and the en-suite bathrooms. We were able to come and go as we pleased and had an excellent English breakfast for the mornings we stayed.

We had a pleasant stay in clean, comfortable and homely rooms. Staff were friendly, breakfast was great and the price is affordable! What more could you want?!

I would certainly recommend this Guest House to anyone. My husband was not very well whilst on our break and he was treated with the utmost help and compassion. Thanks to Caroline and her family for everything they did to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they did. I would not hesitate to return again.

From the outside this is a typical large terrace hotel that you find at the seaside.Inside the dimensions are very generous.We had a large room with a large bathroom and tea making facilities.The owners were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast very good A word of warning though if you have any mobility problems make sure you ask for a ground […] floor or first floor room. Parking is on the road outside and wasn't a problem for us. Only one minus-the bath towels were a bit small,but other than that I'd stay there again. Continua a leggere
