Was there only overnite from 6pm till my flight at0500. Was really impressed by everything. Great food service and the bed was comfy!
We like to visit Casino's and having a good hotel right on the property is a great convenience for us - Everyone in the hotel and casino were very friendly. It was a very relaxed nice visit.
We liked thase hotel. The only problem was the dining room. T se French Restaurant did not have enough tables available because not enough servers so there was an hour wait. Told the hostess twice we would wait at the bar in this restauant because would not hear cell phone in Casino. Never came to get us and we ate at bar. Nice people at bar. Terrible […] hostess. "Mardi Gras Casino Hotel in West Virginia"
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The food in the restaraunt was very good. We also had a great time in the casino while we were there. All of the staff was friendly and very accomodating. The bar in the hotel was comfortable and also had a nice outdoor seating area to relax.

Booked Madi Gras for a business trip to Charleston which normally I would have stayed in the usual hotel brands. This place was a nice surprise! The room was large, the place is spotless and clean, very nice full breakfast in the morning, the folks working there are all very pleasant and helpful. The casino, which I just passed through briefly looked […] very nice as well. Non smoking in the entire facility, so not the constatnt smell of smoke you get in other casino hotels. I saw reviews regarding unfriendly employees and disrupting loud noises. You will always have a few people that hate their jobs but for the most part as we encountered a rude person or two we also encountered many friendly people. I asked for a room (I was on the 2nd floor) at the end of the hall away from elevators and vending machines and had no trouble […] with noise. The casino is small an quaint but both the hotel and casino are very clean. I do have to give 1 person in particular a huge shout out and that is Jerry, our waiter at the French Quarter. He was amazing. He sang Happy Birthday (solo) to my husband's grandmother and it nearly brought tears to her eyes. She talked about it all day. It made her 85th birthday very special. He was awesome and is great at what he does. My husband and I visit there atleast 2-3 times a year but his family is in that area so they will be back for the dinners and brunches. This is a great place with a nice atmosphere. This is also a non smoking facility. The free breakfast is superb and so is the brunch. Continua a leggere

We spent the night as a girls get away. The room was very clean! There is a Keruig coffee pot and coffees in the room as well as an alarm clock you can put your iPhone in. The room has a REAl blow dryer. We ordered room service for dinner because the resturants at the casino were completely packed! The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful, even when they were bombarded with aggitated customers...My wife and I were impressed. Our room was well maintained and our bathroom even had elephant sculpted towels...lol. The "free" morning breakfast buffet was to die for...we left overly full. Please don't miss out on this!!!!!

When I first arrived at the hotel, I had already paid for the hotel room, but the check in clerk told me that she wasn't going to be able to let us check in because they had to hold our credit card number on file for occurred expenses. I advised her that we would not have any other services. She told me that she cannot allow us to check in without credit […] card. Then when checking out. I waited 40 mins for the valet to get my vehicle, which the bell hop called down before we left the room and told them to have my vehicle ready, since I had my handicapped father with me and he could not be out in cold weather. Our bell hop was excellent, His name was chris. "Nice for a one or two night stay"
I read the reviews before staying and I accually witnessed the loud noise that interupted my sleep!! It seems like you don't like guests sleeping late. The only complaint I have is that I couldn't get a late check out and there was a lot of noise outside my room early in the morning that interupted the little sleep I was able to get.

"Same room, same excellence"
We stayed before and was put into the same room that we stayed in last time. (Whether this was dine on purpose is unknown, but you may want to check and ask ahead of time.). Anyhow, the service and cleanliness was still very good, just like last time. Nice Rooms, however not insulated to well. Love the NO smoking anywhere in the hotel, casino or race track and restaurant areas. They may have smoking rooms but no sure. Nice free buffet breakfast with all you would ever want to eat and made to order eggs. Slots a little tight but a very enjoyable weekend overall. Most of the staff was very pleasant. Hotel is relatively new, service was good,the rooms are pricey and nice and but it is missing something. It is like moving into a new home, it is not finished or completed. Has no warmth very stiff. Our entire stay at this hotel was perfect from start to finish. We had a wonderful dinner at the French Quarter, the room was great and the service from everyone was great. I'd like to stay here more but we have to drive from Richmond VA. I also enjoyed being in the casino. The staff there did a great job. Thanks for asking.

"Mardi Gras has it all!!!!!"
Great front desk, great bar, great breakfast and staff waited on us hand and foot even though we went over the 10:00am time frame!!! There is a cinema that shows early bird specials called Franks cinema that was open at 1030 for 4.50 you got a great movie with the kids! Front desk got us directions, while the breakfast guys made us a custom breakfast […] and really enjoyed the room and the food we ordered from the bar on the way in at midnight, they had sent to our room!!! Prices were very fair for all we got and no noise problems at that time of night at all. would not have cared if there had been as we were tired from the drive, and fell asleep fast, fed and happy in our enourmous rroom that was extremely clean and well appointed. "Not a happy customer"
This hotel is not worth the money and DO NOT bring children to this hotel. The fire alarm went off twice during stay and nightly drunks were trying to get into my room. The hotel staff yelled at my children for getting the tile wet from the swimming pool. Will never stay again.

"Stayed here when applying for State police"
Other reviews had stated that the hotel was kind of noisy. We requested a quieter room so that my husband could sleep well for his State police physical exam. The hotel provided. We stayed on the fourth floor and had a very quiet stay. The beds were very comfortable and was a very relaxing cool place to stay at the end of May.
Beautiful new hotel. Thin walls, can hear all neighbors. Some staff were great, then again you could really tell who hated their job (most of them).

Although we only stayed one night, if the opportunity arose we would stay there again! The hotel is clean, the staff is very polite, and there was plenty of stuff to do. My husband and I loved the hotel! We will recommend this location to all of our Family and Friends!!

The Mardi Gras hotel and casino is a beautiful place. For a smaller casino it was perfect. The hotel was immaculate. Sparkling clean, trendy and very comfortable. They even have Keurig coffee machines in the room. The casino was small but had everything needed. Especially nice were the $5.00 limits on Craps and Blackjack tables. You don't see that anywhere […] anymore except downtown Vegas, so that was awsome. Dont know if it was because it was a Thursday night, maybe the limits are higher on weekends,(?) but I hope not! Also wonderful complementary breakfast in the morning, which included made to order omlets! The price was also fantasatic! We only stayed one night on the way to Ohio but will try to get there again!
