"Pretty Good"
I thought I was booking a hotel with a view of the water. I also asked for 2 beds in the room. I was told definitely we would have them but when we checked in, there was only a single bed. I was with my grown son. They did give us another room free of charge which was nice of them. However when we transferred the next day, the view from the window was […] trash. "Great stay"
Fantastic hotel. The best (and to be honest, the only real) breakfast I've had in Italy was included with my room. I know it sounds silly to write that first in my review, but I'm a guy who enjoys eating. My girlfriend and I stayed in the deluxe double room, and it was very clean upon check-in. Every day the cleaning staff would clean the room very […] well, and even organize our shoes and bags we had carelessly left on the floor. The only complain I had about the room was that the wall between the shower and the rest of the bathroom wasn't long enough, so some water would make the floor slippery, but is that even a real complaint? The staff were very helpful, especially the gentleman at the front counter when we checked in. Most of the staff spoke enough English to point us in the direction of some good restaurants right around the corner. It is located in a decent neighborhood close to the water. It was about a 20 minute walk to the botanical garden, which my girlfriend enjoyed very much. I suggest taking a bus to Mondello for some beach time during your stay (about 40 minute ride), and then a bus ride up to Montipelligrini (about a 45 minute ride) for the most stunning view of Palermo from mountaintop. The wifi is slightly pricey and hourly, but you really don't need wi-fi. You are in a beautiful city surrounded by mountains in Sicily. Go out, explore, and enjoy yourself! Continua a leggere

"Falkensteiner - Palermo, Sicily - best breakfast!"
In our three weeks driving around Sicily and several spots south of Rome, no one came close to the bountiful breakfasts at the Falkensteiner. There were numerous choices of both hot and cold items. They even had one person assigned to squeezing fresh orange juice! (By the way, Falkensteiner is a small chain of hotels based in the Tyrol area of Austria. […] Thus, the non-Italian name.) Our room was not not particularly large, but was designed in such a way that it felt like a junior suite. There was a partial wall between the bed area and the sitting area. The wall went to the ceiling, but did not go to the side walls, thus allowing us to walk on either side of it. The main item in the wall was a large flat-screen TV. On the other side of that wall was a large mirror. The TV/mirror swiveled 180 degrees. This gave us the choice of watching TV in bed or in the sitting area. Or, if one person wants to go to bed, the other person can still watch the TV in the sitting room. The hotel is less than 2 years old. Therefore, the bathrooms and all other facilities of the hotel have all the latest features. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bottom line is that if we are traveling in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy or any other nearby countries, we will check to see if there is a Falkensteiner hotel available. Continua a leggere

Hotellet ligger midt i Palermos historiske bydel, 10 minutters gange fra Quattro Canti og tilsvarende fra strandpromenaden. Det er kort avstand til gode restauranter, shopping, markeder, kommunikasjon og byens severdigheter. Hotellet fremstår som nyoppusset og med god standard i en historisk bygning. Høflig betjening. Her er det klasse, kanskje overklasse, men du vil trives på dette hotellet i Palermos gamle bydel. Går helt greit med engelsk , for deg som ikke har øvet inn italienske gloser før ankomst. Noe borthjemt og du må gå en litt mørkere gate til hotellet, men ingen fare.
"Ideale ligging"
Het hotel ligt aan de rand van het iets "luxere"gedeelte van Palermo. Het is een echt 4stars hotel. Prima van alles. In de kamer een paar kleine manco's zoals batterijen afst.bed.TV en een los knopje in douche, maar overall prima. Onze kamer lag in een stille oase(R107), geen uitzicht maar stil en heel schoon. Lekker bed. Om de hoek van het hotel planty […] restaurantjes aan de plaza.Lekker buiten eten en heel betaalbaar. Ook aan de hoofdstraat enigzins verscholen meerdere prima restaurants. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, im Kontrast zu der eher verfallenen Rest von Palermo. Von dort kann zu Fuss alles gut erreicht werden. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältinis, jederzeit wieder!!!!

Mycket fint hotell med trevlig och hjälpsam personal som pratade bra engelska. Underbar frukostbuffé. Palermo var en fin stad med både uteliv och sevärdheter.

Ce très bel hôtel ouvert très récemment est très bien situé, on peut à pied se rendre dans tous les lieux intéressants de Palerme. Prix très raisonnable pour un hôtel de ce standing. Bien que très central il y a des possibilités pour garer son véhicule près de l'hôtel sur une petite place. Des petits restaurants sympa dans la rue. Lekkert "design-hotell" åpnet desember 2010. Forholdsvis sentralt beliggende i Palermo. Helt ok frokostbufet ( til å være i Italia) Utmerked service, kjempelekre hypermoderne rom. Dusj i badekaret kan muligens være et problem for eldre eller bevegelseshemmede. Det eneste minuset var at takterrassen som det står de har ikke var åpen, mulig april var […] for tidlig i forhold til sesongen. Rommene ut mot gaten kan være litt utsatt for støy. Rent, fräscht och hyfsat läge. Allt är helt ok med undantag för medioker service vid frontdesk. Hotellet är ganska fult, tråkigt och opersonligt inrett - som de flesta hotellkedjor. Bra för business. Dåligt för romantik.
