struttura vecchia ed arredamento che cade a pezzi, non ha una spiaggia ma solo roccia impraticabile con il mare molto mosso dove è impossibile tuffarsi, la spiaggia più vicino al resort è a 500 metri ed è possibile noleggiare un lettino a 100 pesos pari a circa 2 euro per un intero giorno sulla spiaggia bianca con tantissime palme ed un mare veramente […] limpido. la piscina dell'hotel e in condizioni orribili. a questo prezzo consiglio strutture molto più moderne tipo appartamenti o camere in affitto da privati a pochi metri dal resort. This hotel it's not bad depending on your level of patience, the rooms are good, the view it's great, and the location allows for a quiet vacation. The price is very good as well. The complaint i have it's the reception staff it's terrible. The gentleman that i had to deal with, seems to have his priorities wrong. I went to check in at 4pm and my room […] was not ready, and since i'm very familiar with the area, i told him that it was ok and that i would come back in about 3 hours.... I came back 4 hours later and my room was still not ready.... But he still proceeded to send me to the room without being ready (They needed to install a new AC in the room). When i got to the room they had boxes of all the components for the new AC in the room. I went back to explain the situation, and i had to wait about 20 minutes while he was having a personal conversation on the phone. I had to go and complain to somebody else and the manager proceeded give me a new room. Another thing, if you are handicap you might be screwed depending in what room they put you in because half the elevators they have don't work. If you are low patience, this might not be the place to stay... Pay a bit more and find another place. If you don't want to spend much money and you are willing to deal with poor customer service, then you'll be ok. I personally will never stay here again. Continua a leggere

People/ guest should be made aware that no food could be found in the hotel. Thanks to a restaurant situated in front of the hotel not open at all times but at least for breakfast and lunch. This Hotel has to be the BEST VALUE IN the Dominican Republic. On the OCEAN, Clean, Super SAFE 24/7. Each room has a kitchen (trick push knob down to light stove with match (supplied) lit), there is a small mini market on site, hours are not posted, good for last minute items; super market is about a $20 round trip if you plan to cook a lot, so planning […] is a must. Many small restaurants near by walking, BEST is ConCon at the end of the road about 300 meters from hotel is the BEST by far..Reasonable, delicious, Italian fare, Chicken Codon Blue to die for, entertainment Saturday night ( bring mosquito repellent for your feet, especially if your real sensitive..they have fans, candles, etc , BUT..There is an Italian restaurant opened in the hotel but days ahours are limmited..menu looks yummy prices reasonable..On site entertainment is limmited. Hotel is 30 years old, pool looks it, water is clean though..sandy beach but have to walk off site to enter the ocean ..BIG Waves....There is no on site parking, park on the street safe safe as security watch. This is the second year in a row that my wife and I have been given twin beds instead of a queen or king bed. The staff was awsome, but there bar closes at 11pm which forces you to go outside the hotel to have fun. The bed is hard and not very comfortable, and the paint has peeled on the pool making it look dirty, but it is cleaned daily. The Hotel was quite no loud music from neighboring clubs was a huge plus, the area in general is quite, exactly what i look for. The resort club as they call it is several apartements or suites with kitchenettes.every thing was in working order ,micro wave stove top with 2 burners. utinsels plates etc for 2 persons max, frying pan and a few pots. nothing […] fancy.The place in general could stand a good paint job, it had peeling paint in some areas and other areas had older water stained walls probably from past tropical storms or hurricans. there was no bad water smell or humide smell or even mold, it is kept very clean,stores and many resturants are far to walk to except for 2 one is right across the street, the other a few blocks to the east, the grounds are kept clean grass cut etc.The only thing that did bother me were the wasps in the sand, there were hundreds of them burrowing into it and just huverring over the sand itself, it may have been te time of year for this, but this is a man made beach which you cannot get to the water even though it is on the water front, you are limited to the pool, you need to drive or walk to the municipale beach which is much better.its like living in an apartment yet in a resort setting. only two problems , had booked an apartment with one seperate bedroom , upon arrival was given a standard room. The hotel owes me 40 dollars. secondly the hot water took a long time in the shower and the overhead shower did not work, just the lower spiget worked. could not take a shower at all, only a bath. other wise hotel was fine.

Don´t expect a luxurious hotel for the price, it is Ok, friendly people from the begining, clean and quiet. I would recomend the hotel if you are not expecting a restaurant in the hotel and do not care about the size of the TV, main thing clean and friendly employees

The rooms are outdated. The jacuzzi in the pool area was cold. The hotel is on the water but the beach area is like a cliff so you can't swim in the water. There is a lot of construction on the road in front of the hotel, but we didn't hear any of noise from the construction. We were there for 3 nights at the beginning of the week. There weren't a lot […] of other people around despite it being spring break time. There are not a lot of activities in the area. We ended up spending a day driving to Punta Cana (3hrs each way) and a day in Santo Domingo (40 min each way). Upon my arrival to Albatros Club Resort, the first thing I wanted to confirm was that they did accept pets as it clearly says on the reservation confirmation sheet, and my wife was arriving late that night from Italy with our pet dog and wanted to be sure about their policies. As I was affraid, it turns out that the hotel did NOT accept pets and the […] manager of the hotel was incredibly rude to explain how their policies have changed and that she was going to make an exception with us, making very clear how we would have to pay for anything that our dog could damage. After a very long trip from la romana airport, we got to the hotel at around 3:30am and asked if our room would be available for the following night, as we wanted to stay and rest for one more day, reception said no problem, they had plenty of rooms free for the next day and if the dog was quiet and didn't leave the room, it wouldn't be a problem to stay an extra night. Unfortunately, the next morning we were told by the front desk that "there are no rooms available for you tonight and that we had to check out". When I asked to speak to the manager, she wouldn't even show her face or come out of her office (just a few feet away) and just told us through the receptionist that "there is nothing we can do". I have worked in hotels in different countries for the last 15 years, and I have to say this was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had and certainly one of the most un-professional, most rude and ignorant hotel managers I've ever met. I would definitely never go back to this hotel, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone that's looking for a friendly service, specially from the management. Continua a leggere

I was in Dominican Republic(my native country) for two weeks and i reserved a room for me and my wife weeks before we left for our trip. I was on a budget since i always give money to family members(we dominicans tend to do that), so i was looking online for a cheap and close resort and this was it. Like the famous saying "You Get What You Paid For". […] Our room was on the 3rd floor and the elevator was OUT OF SERVICE. The hotel didn't provide food like most resort, so we had to buy food from this minimarket they have inside the hotel. The closest restaurant was kind of far and expensive. There was a bar by the pool, but you have to pay for any drinks including water. The room was good and clean, but the TV channels looked horrible. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SO CALLED RESORT!!! I stayed at the studio unit recently. It is very spacious and with a huge ocean view balcony. The room was not fancy but very clean, comfotable and everything works very well (it has everything for cooking). This hotel has its own beach (beautiful coastline) and the swimming pool was a good size and supper clean. It's very quiet all the time and the […] yard is dark at night (only a few lights). It just feels wonderful to sit in the darkness next to the ponding beach and also knowing you're in an extremely safe surrounding (the property was enclosed and with guards around the clock). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I rented a car at the airport it took me only 40 minutes or less to get to the hotel (first time travel to this country and with only the map I saw on Expedia). It's very safe to park your car in front of the hotel since the guards are there all the time. It's very easy to drive to nearby banks, stores, and Boca Chica. You can bring a guest to your room without an extra charge. I would return to this hotel next time I go to Santo Domingo. Continua a leggere

Hôtel Albatros Club Nous ne vous donnerons pas notre impression, mais nous vous indiquerons des faits pour en tirer vous-même les conclusions. Arrivée ascenseur en panne 2 étages a pieds. Couloir en décrépitude. Chambre charnières d’armoire cassées, portes qui vous tombent sur la tête. Placard plein de moisissures. Plinthe de cuisine arrachée. Pas […] d’arrivée d’eau. Nous avons refusé les chambres. Devant l’hôtel baignade interdite ce n’est que des rochers. L’hôtel est située a plusieurs Km du village sans aucune commodité au bout d’une voie sans issue entourée de carcasses d’immeubles à l’abandon. Un poco viejos los baños, con fuga de agua en la tina y regadera. Los aires tambien super viejos. Cuando llegue solo habia una persona en recepcion, tarde 15 minutos en ser atendido. El elevador no servia, los 4 pisos con maletas de ida y de venida.

Hotellet har ikke matservering, ellers et fint hotel å overnatte på. Barnevenlig og grei betjening. Hotellet ligger ca. 1 times kjøretur til Santo Domingo og ca. 35 minutter til flyplassen. Pengene flyr fort avgårde i taxi. Ca. 50 usd til flyplassen og 60 usd til Santo Domingo.

Un hotel vetuste mais néanmoins tout à fait pratiquable. Clientère essentiellement italienne. Pas de plage de sable (corail). Quartier très tranquille de jour comme de nuit. Les chambres sont en fait des studios avec cuisine équipée et coin repas.

Günstiges Hotel mit gutem Komfort, mindestens in den Apartments. Eines der wenigen in der Gegend ohne all inclusive, also geeignet für jemand, der die guten Restaurants in der Umgebung probieren möchte. Gratis-WiFi in der Lobby. Grosser Pool, Sandstrand, der aber nicht bis ins Meer reicht, d.h. Baden im Meer praktisch unmöglich.
