Would have checked out if we hadn't prepaid three days through a booking service. The service on line said "good value for the money." Totally incorrect . Should not have any star rating.

The room was clean but showing its age. instead of paintings there were screws on the wall. We subsequently found the pictures behind the wall unit when my husband's wallet fell behind the TV cabinet & we had to move it out to retrieve the wallet we saw it was unbelievably dirty. We had the misfortune to leave our home?car keys in the room. We left […] our luggage in the hotel on check out & 51/2 hours later we retrieved our luggage. On arrival at the airport we realised we did not have our keys. we rang the hotel as there was ample time to send them out via taxi. They could not find them. After 4 phone calls over the next day they said that they had been on the desk all the time & forgot to give them to us. This had caused us a bad ending to our holiday as we had to hire a car & then break a window to gain access into the house. This lack of thought from your staff cost us over $250. Continua a leggere

The hotel is very clean and neat. Breakfast was well cooked with a reasonable selection. Very conveniently situated. The decor however was quite dated and is probably due for and update and some form of room service would have been good. All in all I would happily stay there again and have done previously.

Great hotel, great location if you need access to ultimo, public transport, darling habour etc. Everything you'll need in short walk.

Overall stay was comfortable. Room size was bigger than expected and so was the bathroom. Sofa in bedroom had torn armrests. Carpeting in some areas of the hotel - especially the lifts - were old, faded and worn out. Staff were pretty polite and friendly. Love the location and the service. Second time I have stayed here. I just wished this time I had another blanket or at least a quilt like I did the first time. Also wished there was a plug for the bath so the kids could have had a bath. Other than that, it was a terrific stay and everything was where I needed it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Aspire Hotel which was in a great location with a suburban feel, but so close to the main part of the city. We also found a couple of great places to have breakfast and a snack close by. I would recommend the Aspire Hotel to my friends.

Staying at the Aspire was very convenient with light rail, bus and monorail stops all very close by. Very close to the Powerhouse Museum, Paddy's Markets and Chinatown. I found it very easy to get to and from Central Station. Hotel staff were pretty good and very helpful although I was a little annoyed when one staff member ignored me and served 2 other […] people before me even though I'd been waiting there first. Room was very clean and the bed was comfy. I loved the balcony. Don't expect anything other than analogue tv though. Continua a leggere

I feel bad writing this since the staff were so lovely, but I must say I would not return to this hotel. It was very dirty, dusty ... we prayed we wouldn't return home with bedbugs. We didn't ... it seem so far. I was not expecting a 5-star experience given the price, but I did and will always expect clean.

The Aspire needs to set its sights a little higher! The location is good, within easy walking distance of the monorail and a slightly longer walk to Darling Harbour but the facilities are, in places, a little dated. We were impressed by all the staff we met and they were happy to organise our transport to the airport and to provide secure storage for […] our luggage until it was time for us to leave. We didn't use the catering facilities but the reception staff recommended an excellent open air cafe a few metres down the street which provided a good breakfast at reasonable cost. The bathroom sink in our room had originally (many years ago) been a smooth marble finish but it was so cracked and crazed that I was reluctant to use it. The internet advertisement showed a double bed and sofabed, which would have given us space to relax in with a glass of wine. The television deserved a place in a museum and would only receive 4 channels. What we got was a double and two singles which made the large room feel crowded. The bedding was originally an ancient fitted cover which matched the curtains. Unfortunately it was so old that the lining was in tatters. When I complained, the staff, who were unfailingly polite and helpful, suggested I could have a duvet instead. What I was given was a blanket sandwiched between two sheets! The Balcony had a pleasant view, but no seats were provided to enjoy it. Overall, this hotel has friendly staff who are currently struggling to provide a good service due to lack of investment in the basic facilities. I would recommend The Aspire to those who are looking for a cheap hotel particularly if you are looking for a family room. Continua a leggere

As i am in holiday accommodation i could not believe there were no mattress protectors on the beds this is a health issue. The tv's were very old walls very thin could here the people in next room, lift noisey all night and didn't line up when stopped, no hot water in both rooms Sunday morrning on different floors. Older style Hotel. Rooms were extremely large. Could have fitted another queen bed. Staff were exremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Lovely leafy surrounds. Close to numerous restaurants, shops etc. Just a short walk by overhead walkway to the end of George St. and Paddy's Markets and central station.

When I saw the signs dated 1968 I thought 'hmmmm'. The selection of 'new' DVD's including Titanis and Terminator left me wondering if I was in a time warp - this was further highlighted by the mould in the batheroom that was probably not cleaned since the turn of the century! The clincher was the music piped in to the breakfast hall - 'I got high'. […] At least the kids in the room got an education. Continua a leggere

This hotel close to fish market, Hay market, china town, museums and city center

Price worthy hotel 15-20 min walk from the central station and 10 min walk from Darling Harbour in a quiet part of town. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room.

This isn't the first time I choose this hotel. Since the great location and cheap price. Hope you can enjoy your stay as mine.~~

Found the room and service really good. Only bad point was we found it hard to find mainly due to sydneys roading system. Needs a little more instruction on how to locate.

The Aspire Hotel in Sydney is a tired budget hotel that is very well located and offers clean and comfortable well serviced rooms. Staff are very friendly and co-operative. I have no hesistaion is recommending it to friends and we will certainly consider re-booking during our next visit to sydney. Ian of Geelong

For what we paid for this hotel we were happy. We got a deal for 4 nights with breakfast included, lets just say "you get what you pay for". The hotel is old, the airconditioning did not work...thank god the weather was kind to us, we had to sleep with the balcony sliding door open, and my husband slept on the sofa lounge as it was closest to the door. […] At times we even wedged the door to the room open as to get the cool air from the corridor. The TV was like something from the 1960's. On a good note, our room was cleaned every day and we always had fresh towells. The breakfast was very basic, but was pleasant.(didn't like the fact that we had to go to reception every morning to grab voucher to present to kitchen staff). Front counter staff were average, some were great some were not, averaging each other out. But the positive is it was sooooo close to transportation. This was our first ever time to Sydney, and we couldn't have asked for better location. Not a high end hotel, but we would definitely stay there again if they were to fix the TV and aircons. Although the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom is very dated and needs refreshing. This hotel is very convenient to transport and restaurants, very quiet street. We stay here every trip to Sydney.

Sorry, but our stay was totally crap. LOUD and swearing guests next door at 3am and 4am, even after talking to reception twice, noone went up to have them quiet. Provided no compo when we asked either. Pretty disappointing.

It was not really accessible. Quite a distance from main road. We dare not venture out after dark. We stayed in room after 7 pm. But the hotel was gracious enough to extend our check-out time from 11am to 1pm.

4 of us stayed in one room (two double beds and a sofabed). Plenty of room and good value for the two nights. Easy walk to Darling Harbour, Central Station, and George st. Room was clean, as was hotel. Staff friendly enough and overall experience was good. Would happily stay there again and recommend to others

Personnel agréable, un seul reproche : un matin la chambre n avait pas été faite. hôtel pas récent mais bien entretenu, propre, chambre spacieuse avec coin salon. grande salle de bain. bonne literie. bien situé en centre ville, dans quartier aéré, proche quartier chinois et avenue à remonter pour arriver a pieds tranquillement en 1h environ à circular […] quay (opéra Sydney). シドニーCBDにも近く，チャイナタウン，セントラル駅及びフィッシュマーケットまで徒歩圏内の便利なホテルです。 周辺の環境は，CDBに比べてやや劣ります（夜は人通りが少なくなるので，少し注意した方がいいかもしれません）が，特に危険という感じはありません。 チェックインの時間より早く到着しましたが，フロントの対応はよく，駐車場も部屋も早めに利用できました。 シャワーの湯はよく出ますし，部屋も広く，快適な滞在ができるでしょう。 フロントに新聞が用意されているのもいいですね。

hotel situé dans une rue très calme tout près du centre ville. Aucune difficulté pour accéder aux sites touristiques

Har bott på Aspire i sydney sammanlagt 11 nätter i nov och dec 2010. Det var en mycket positiv överraskning med tanke på priset, en frukostbuffe som var mycket bra och god! Personalen i matsalen mycket trevlig. Läget är helt perfekt, promenadavtånd till nästan allt i centrala Sydney. Området runt hotellet är lungt och fridfullt med en egen park runt […] knuten. Totalt en positiv upplevelse att bo på Aspire. Continua a leggere
