L' esperienza è stata positiva anche la posizione dell'hotel, situato nel centro del mercato della della frutta, non è da considerarsi ottimale anche perchè l'ingresso è camuffato da banco di verdure.

La posizione dell'hotel é sicuramente particolare poiché si trova nel mezzo del mercato della frutta; hanno inoltre cercato di dare una connotazione originale alla struttrua tenendo conto della presenza del mercato. L'hotel si trova vicinissimo al centro, facilmente raggiungibile dalle tre fermate principali della metro (Omonia, Syntagma e Monastiraki). Nelle camere si trova il minibar e l'aria condizionata (indispensabili visto il clima della città). La colazione è abbondante e varia: frutta sciroppata, i classici insaccati e formaggio, tortine, panini alle olive, […] verdura e yogurt greco. Purtroppo sconsiglierei la vacanza qui solo per un motivo: la situazione disastrosa in cui si ritrova la città. Non ero mai stata in regioni mediterranee e io e il mio ragazzo siamo rimasti decisamente sconvolti: sporcizia, povertà, senzatetto che rovistavano nei rifiuti, una quantità incredibile di cani randagi e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Anche per quanto riguarda il cibo ho riscontrato alcuni problemi: tantissimi ristoranti di kebab, mentre quelli tipici greci avevano un aspetto e un odore repellenti. Questo è uno dei problemi dell'albergo: il mercato della frutta (che non infastidiva per il rumore) rendeva indispensabile la presenza di aria condizionata perché era assolutamente impossibile aprire le finestre (per noi dire letale!) vista la quantità di spazzatura e senzatetto che dormivano sui tetti di fronte. Ad ogni modo, ripeto che il problema possa essere comune a molti altri paesi del Mediterraneo (e che la situazione qui possa essere particolarmente grave per colpa della crisi), ma il giudizio sull'hotel è decisamente positivo, vista la pulizia e i servizi che offre. Hotel gradevole, con camere molto pulite, staff gentile e disponibile, colazione varia ed abbondante. Il Center Square Hotel è stato recentemente ristrutturato e presenta camere confortevoli servizi buoni e molto puliti. Unico inconveniente, non particolarmente greve, è quello di trovarsi a contatto con il mercato ortofrutticolo che peònon presenta particolari fastidi. Andando verso paiazza Monastiraki non abbiamo vistompartolari pericoli (almeno di […] giorno), In direzione di piazza Omonia invece si incontrano persone di varianazionalità e qulche drogato, ma non abbiamo avuto fastidi. Arriviamo all'Athens Center Square Hotel il 31 dicembre del 2010, scendendo alla stazione di Monastiraki comodissima dall'aereoporto grazie alla metropolitana che arriva direttamente senza dover cambiare linea. L'hotel è ben segnalato lungo la strada e lo troviamo facilmente. Si trova proprio davanti al mercato centrale di Atene, anzi direi dentro al […] mercato. We had no problems in the room, but watched drug deals and drug use daily from our hotel window. There was a police raid one night while we were watching. We did not feel safe being in this neighborhood after dark.

We loved this hotel. For the price, service, and location, can't be beat. Was hard to find however, even the taxi driver couldn't find it, althou we provided him a map! Bring the hotel phone number with you so thne driver can call for directions. Very modern, clean, and large for a European style hotel.

We wanted a central location, free Wi-Fi, free (and good) breakfast, inexpensive rooms with amenities (fridge, safe, view) and this hotel was perfect for our requirements. Albeit, the hotel location has a "suspect" district on one side and the fresh foods market right outside on down to the big market but for us, the market area was fine and we just […] didn't venture out into the "suspect" side so all was great for us. We walked our entire time in Athens and required no transportation due to the central location. The breakfast was decent and included some hot items (bacon/sausage, eggs) so we were content with that as well. The free Wi-Fi was good but having to get a new pass code daily was a little annoying. The rooms were not very large but suited us fine with the small fridge and safe in the room meeting our needs as well. Overall, we got this hotel at a good price, had no issues, and it made our trip to Athens all about the city itself with no worries about our accommodations! Stayed at this hotel a few years ago but it has been refurbished since then and what a difference it has made. The room was very comfortable and sound proof due to the new windows. The breakfast offered was fresh and replenished regularly with a good selection. Will stay again when we visit next year and highly recommend it.

The Hotel is centrally located to most everything in Athens you'll want to see. It's located in more of a residential area (open air market right outside the door and meat market up the road) and the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, but during the day was fine. The people at reception - Olga, Tonia and Vasilis were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A good choice at breakfast and the location is great- very near the metro and within walking distance of many attractions. What more can I say? Book it!

The breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable/helpful, and in a walkable location for the sites in Athens. The major downside in our opinion were the noise (the market right outside the window had vendors setting up their stalls beginning quite early, and there was a very loud dance party the Saturday evening we were there which […] could have been an anomaly, but could also have been a local bar). Only a short walk from a lot of the key attractions and minutes from the metro, the Athens Centet Square was a real find. Very friendly staff execs ally the lovely Olga. The room was more than adequate and exceptional value for money. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside it's great. We got a free bottle of wine on arrival. Our room was fantastic. Great bathroom. Great location for shopping, restaurants & tour buses & metro to the Port. Breaskfast included was great too.

The area is ok but I wouldn't walk around on my own at night as I wouldn't feel safe.The hotel itself is really great. I stayed at the Athens Center Square Hotel on two separate occasions in June 2012- for 5 days initially, and once more after travelling elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's very clean, modern, and the best deal for similarly priced rooms in Athens (I should know, I've stayed at some real crap places!) It's centrally located, […] a short walk up from Monastiraki metro. The fruit/veg market is a very vibrant place during the day, and the hotel is located just outside. You might read about how it's shady over there etc, and while there are some not great parts of athens where you wouldn't want to go on your own at night, I think you're very safe here. I'm a young woman who stayed alone here and never felt like I was in danger. The room was good- very clean and comfortable. On my last night I stayed in one of the bigger rooms on the top floor- it was absolutely gorgeous. The balcony had views of Lycavittos hill, the bathroom was enormous, there was a huge comfy bed and a complimentary bottle of wine. I also liked how there were fridges in each room. But where this hotel absolutely excels is its staff. Very kind, helpful people who really know the meaning of 'filoxenia'. Especially Olga- she was so sweet and helpful and really helped make my stay in athens extra awesome. efhadisto olga :) There was also a very nice guy who was a porter I think. Hotel has a great location for viewing the Parthenon. If you stay here be sure to go up on the roof in the evening for a drink and enjoy the view. We enjoyed our stay at the Athens Center Square. The front door of the hotel opens directly onto the local fruit and vegetable market, which made for some interesting exploring. The hotel location is central to many significant must see parts of Athens and in the middle of a large market district as well as being a five minute walk to Monastiraki train station which is part of the Metro system and has a direct line to the Airport. The rest is within walking distance to all that you would need to see, eat and drink. A basic […] breakfast begins at 3am with the full menu coming on from 7 till 10 so my jet lag was quelled as was my insomnia. The rooftop view is magic and although the room seemed smaller than I was used to I soon settled to appreciate it was one small part of a bigger picture. This hotel was in a really central location, 15 minutes walk from the acropolis and all the other sites were with in walking distance although Monastiriki metro station is only 5 minutes away and has a train direct to the airport, The staff were fantastic, they all spoke English which was great as my Greek is shocking, nothing was too much trouble, […] they recommended restaurants, drew directions on maps and talked us through the best places to visit and at what times, The room was what you'd expect for a three star and really clean and comfortable and the shower was great, it can be a bit noisy due to the market outside but great value for money! I was nervous because I saw reviews saying the hotel was in a seedy neighborhood, but I was very pleased with the location and thought it was a great value. It's on a side street that by day serves as a vegetable market. It is a little dark and if you're the nervous type you may be, well, nervous, but I did not feel at all vulnerable going out at night. […] You're a 5 minute walk from the ancient agora, shopping, bars, and restaurants and we could see the acropolis from our room. After staying in a business hotel in the city, we moved to spend the weekend in center of Athens. It is within walking distance to "everything", and the quality of the hotel surprised us all in a postive way. The roof terrace was tremmendous, and in summertime it must be a very nice place to start of the social evening! The breakfast was good, the rooms […] modern and quiet surriondings in the night. The bar is standard, cheap, and employees friendly! Also there is a free WIFI on the room! Good, clean, well located hotel that is great value for money. We had some problems with the room safe, which were fixed quickly. There's a street market below which can be noisy from around 7am. We were on the 6th floor and it wasn't a problem, but it could be an issue if you were lower down. The entrance to the hotel is though the market - at night […] it can feel a bit intimidating, but we didn't have any problems (here, or in the rest of Athens - it felt like a nice city). What really made this hotel were the staff - friendly, knowledgeable, excellent in all regards. Roof terrace has amazing near-360 degree views of the city. After many years of trying I think I've finally found the perfect budget hotel in Athens. There's almost nothing not to like about this one. If you love the real Athens this is a perfect location. I can't think of anything better than walking straight out into the fruit and vegetable market in the morning. A clean modern hotel with excellent service, […] very clean and comfortable rooms, a good breakfast and free wifi. My room was on the market side, but there was no problem with noise. Minus points were tiny. (There was some slight noise from nearby rooms and I wasn't overwhelmed by the 'Easyjet orange' colour scheme.) Finally, one of the great pluses of this hotel is that I could go all the way from my room to the airport (via the metro from Monastiraki) without once having to pick up my suitcase. And speaking as one of those mythical 'single older women' I can confidently say that there's nothing scary about this area. Robbery is always possible for any age and gender at any time of day, but taking simple and obvious precautions can easily take care of that. Very highly recommended. Continua a leggere
