"great staff and service, close to every thing"
family owned and operated for 3 generations..very relaxed...wifi...friendly family staff...I like an older place as long as it's clean and there's good service

"Wow"
It was like I when back in time. This place looked like my kid pictures from the 70's. I think the place has the same decor when it first opened. Our room was clean and had easy access from the parking lot. I have already suggested this place to a friend and I plan to stay there again when I am in the area.

"Disappointed"
My two daughters and I were very disappointed in this hotel. It is very old and there have been no updates. The bathroom was very, very small with absolutely no vanity to set anything on. A small glass shelf was it. Pink tile dating back to the 60's and the fixtures were old and rusted. One roll of toilet paper on the holder and no extra!!! Beds were […] hard and uncomfortable. The room was however clean. We went for our continental breakfast to a old type livingroom with two tables covered with a plastic table cloth. Coffee was good but no cream...well just powered cream. Bread was in their store plastic bags and the only fruit was apples and oranges...no bananas. I did some research on this hotel before booking and it was rated highly on Trip Advisor....but it certainly did not live up to the comments. Continua a leggere

"Glass House Inn was a wonderful - Close to sights"
We enjoyed our stay @ Glass House Inn. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Easy access to 79 and surrounding attractions. Beautiful landscaping! We do plan on staying there again in the future.

"Glass House Inn"
quite dissapointed for the NUMBER ONE rated hotel in erie per trip advisor....old motor lodge facade with musty smell immediately upon entering room...badly outdated decor.....good location,old room.....good location
The staff was friendly, however, we were disappointed in our room. The sofa in the room was visibly filthy, i wouldn't even sit on it. The bed was not comfortable at all. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door - missed during previous room cleanup I guess. Overall - it was barely Okay, but we would not book here again.

The coffee was weak, and there was not coffee cream, just the fake powder stuff. The muffins were not freshly made and the bagels were unexceptional. I would not stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located if you are visiting the area. Its within 5miles of all major attractions and a short drive away from Presque Isle. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. However, if you're expecting an idyllic Inn, you'll be disappointed. It's more of a privately owned highway motel similar to many others close by.

"Glass House Inn-a quaint retreat"
We have stayed at The Glass House Inn for many years and it remains a clean and quaint place to get away from things. I like the fact that it is not a "cookie cutter" chain room. Each room has it's own charm. Our stay is always comfortable and without problems.

"A wonderful stay!"
We stayed for four days. The rooms were clean and all of our needs met. Hotel staff were very nice and my kids loved the outdoor pool. The facility is outdated but everything worked. We really have no complaints.

The owners of the Glasshouse Inn were friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodations were well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and lots of storage for our luggage. Everything was spotless and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We will be staying here on our next trip to Erie.

WHEN WE FIRST DROVE UP TO THE INN WE WERE SURPIRSED THAT IT SEEMED TO BE IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. WE QUESTIONED HOW FAR WE WOULD BE FROM PRESQUE ISLE BEACHES AND WALDEMEER. BUT WE WERE VERY CLOSE. WHILE NOT BEING IN THE THICK OF THE HOTEL/PARTY AREA WE WERE ONLY A FEW SHORT MILES AWAY ANOTHER PLUS WAS THAT TICKETS FOR WALDEMEER WERE SOLD AT THE […] INN DESK FOR $5 OFF THE USUAL ADMISSION PRICE. A DEFINITE PLUS. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. YOU COULD TELL IT WAS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS. AND I AM ALL ABOUT SUPPORTING LOCAL ECONOMIES. "Glass House Inn near the Peninsula in Erie"
Old fashioned motel. Probably family owned. Had to ask for fresh towels.Did not make up the bed. Low price. Easy to find. convenient parking. Very basic breakfast.
We felt the hotel was comfortable, but outdated, It was clean and spacious, but felt like we were in the 50's

"Good value for the price"
A rather old motel somewhat out of the way, but the family owners seem to give a personal and somewhat energetic effort to be competitive. The microwave didn't work, no bulb in one of the lights. The included breakfast was probably better than many, but nothing but a variety of Kellog sorts of serials, some instant oatmeal, cheap bagels or toast. Erie […] is a rather desperate town but the likely halfway point for a number of trips, and the Glass House is better than a number of motels in the area that I have stayed at. "Not my first choick"
The photo on the website does not deplect what we were greated with. Stayed for one night and itched all night long. Bed had little flecks of black things thru the sheets. Not very inviting. Also asked for a 7 a.m. wakeup call which never happened.
"Quaint & Quiet"
The purpose of my trip was to go shopping. And shop I did! I was in a clean safe location not far from Millcreek Mall and surrounding stores. Nice breakfast, friendly guests and owners!
"Very comfortable hotel"
The hotel was very comfortable. It still has some older decor but very clean and nice. Would definitely stay again if visiting Erie. Breakfast was good. Had fresh fruit and muffins, coffee and hot tea. Very nice place to stay!!!
