Cape Sienna Phuket

Great service and very friendly staff! The outlook was amazing! the surrounding streets/town wasn't anything special but was nice to be a bit out of Patong. A good place to book if you want to lounge by the pool and enjoy a stress free time at the hotel! Would definately go back!

This is in my top three hotels i have ever stayed at. The hotel is new, clean, has amazing facilities, inc two pools, a big gym, three restaurants all serving some of the best food i have ever tasted, and being a vegetarian they catered for our dietary requirements very well. If you're looking to visit Phuket and stay in a calm, friendly and peaceful atmosphere, away from the local town of Patong, this is definitely the hotel for you. If I ever visit Phuket again, i will be staying here. It is a 500 THB transfer via local taxi to Patong (and 400 THB via a Tuk-Tuk for the return), the local town where everything happens, which is slightly expensive and all of the taxi's charge the same price. Overall, it was a good stay. All rooms faced the sea, so you'll get a sea view. We were on the 3rd floor, so the view was pretty good. Cleanliness and service wise, the hotel was good as well. A couple of things which was not so good...1) the jacuzzi had a wall beside it, to block out prying eyes, but it also meant that while soaking in the jacuzzi, […] you could not have a view. 2) the long walk down hill to the shopping/food area takes about 10mins, and coming back up the hill was tough, but good exercise. Not advisable for older folk, and people who have difficulty walking. 3) The hotel had a policy of not allowing guests the opportunity of booking an external tour, and having the tour bus pick you up from the front of the hotel. As such, we had to walk down to the little shopping/food area to take the tour. This was confirmed to me by the tour agent, and a taxi driver. Besides this, the overall stay at the hotel was good. Really beautiful place, just a quick walk up the hill from Kamala Beach. We enjoyed the walk to and from town daily. There is a 7-11 close by for anything you might need as well. Great restaurant Rockfish right acoss and down the hill a bit. Breakfast at the hotel was great also, had drinks on the rooktop. I am a beach person but they have an amazing […] pool here. Very little to criticise about cape sienna. A wonderful experience. However the housekeeping staffs could have been more attentive to our needs. My room had an unwelcomed guest 'cockroach'. We stayed in a delux room with spa, and the view from our room was just spectacular looking over Kamala beach.The staff were very helpful,and the food was great.A choice of 3 restaurants and a bar.We included breakfast in our package and were not disapointed in the selection of food. Some heavy bargaining is required with the taxi service at the front […] of the hotel, and prices can vary greatly. When we returned to our room at night there was a perfumed oil burner alight and orchids on the bed with a little hand written note saying something different each night. My girlfriend and I stayed at Cape Sienna after a recommendation from another friend of ours, who spent a week at the hotel. We'd seen pictures and were very much excited by the views possible from the general pool area and Sienna Rocks area. Both views did not disappoint. Pools were however very small, which is the only drawback. More importantly, […] we loved the sea view studio we booked. Though the view was blocked by the premium villas below, we could see a little window of sea up to the horizon with two chairs and a table on the balcony, with a fan above, to enjoy the January warmth and occasional sea breeze floating in. The room itself was superbly comfortable, with a bed you could spend all day and all night in if you so desired. The air conditioning worked well, the room was simply but elegantly furnished, and you have a choice of normal or overhead waterfall-styled shower. Service at the hotel was also very pleasant, with smiles from the staff and little touches like a little card and orchid on the bed in the evenings wishing you good night. One night, when we'd gotten back late from the town area, we even found that they'd turned the air-conditioning on for us, making the room a joy to come back to. The Kamala area is quiet, with not much to occupy yourself with though so you're better off taking a taxi/tuktuk to the Patong area. Kamala beach itself has water sports and many sunbeds, if you're not interested in venturing out. Continua a leggere

The Cape sienna is a beautiful beautiful hotel- breathtaking views from the min you enter the lobby, while you are eating breakfast, having drinks and dinner etc. It really is stunning. From the second you arrive to that beautiful view from the lobby you that feeling "you picked the right hotel". From the pool to the rooms this place is beautiful. If possible I would recommend a room in one of the higher buildings on the hill to have an even more majestic view. The pool area is amazing and the town is a short walk away. Spectacular view from lobby ...only marred by ugle telephone cables. That should be fixed!!! Recommend to hire a motorbike to get areound as taxis are expensive in Phuket and location is a bit far away. Lovely place and quite helpful staff. Phuket has become overpriced in recent years so I prefert the North of Thailand.

Cape Sienna was a great hotel in a lovely location! An easy walk down to Kamala Beach and close enough to get a quick taxi to Patong if you fancy a big night out or some shopping. There was plenty of opportunity to laze by one of the pools with all the day beds, and the food at Plum and Vanilla Sky was delicious. The view from our sea view room was marred by power cables and it turned out that we were situated over the building hot water system which meant we effectively had in floor heating. This was compounded by an air conditioning system that did not work on low and had to be run on a noisier setting. One night a noisy hot water pump started operating at […] random intervals which meant we got no sleep. The staff promptly changed our room the next day to one with a better outlook and which was much quieter, although the bathroom could have been cleaner. The hotel is beautiful, the staff attentive and the view amazing. Breakfast was generally good but we would expect fresh juice not concentrate in a hotel of this standard and the coffee is rubbish. Freshly made coffee (not filter) in the morning makes all the difference. There is a problem with the location and the taxi mafia are STILL a problem. The […] hotel have produced information about the taxi situation and claim that there is nothing they can do, but that doesn't wash with us, there is something they can do and that is to provide an affordable alternative, but they don't. A metred taxi from the airport is almost 1000 Baht less that the hotel's airport service. I've now stayed at Cape Sienna twice in the last year. Wow! Things have changed unfortunately! The room is now cleaned every second day and you'd be very lucky if the maid even bothers to take away room service dishes. The bed didn't even have sheets... Just a doona. The first time we visited incense was lit in our room every night and a card placed […] on the bed, this time, no incense, no card, not once in the 6 nights we stayed. Disappointing. For a 5 star hotel, the meals are overly priced and don't meet the standard you'd expect. For three times the price compared to restaurants in Kamala or Patong, you are served with minced chicken... rice. No vegetables, no "real chicken." Breakfast fast became boring with no real variety. The "fresh" omelettes were always under done and bacon so crispy it tasted like cardboard. I found that the menu was too westernised, when you go to Thailand, you expect Thai food! We only ate here three times throughout our whole stay- I would have thought the hotel would put 1 and 1 together and wonder why many of their restaurants were empty at lunch and dinner! Cape sienna hotle is located in quiet beach far away of all noises and crowds good for relaxing specially with beautiful ocean view is really nice place for enjoying sunset while you drinking your cold juice in your privet balcony or jaquzie! In the othere hand hotle is close to drive to busy patong beach and all night clubs!

The tour desk lady was very helpful in giving us suggestions on how can we spend our last day after checking out from the hotel while waiting for our flight at night. If you were cracking your head over Cape Sienna or Serenity, like i was previously, look no further. Cape Sienna will not disappoint you. Their policy of not having children under 12 years old is a plus. (Sorry for those who has young kids). Instead of going to the main pool, go to the rock. It's more exclusive.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for a night in a sea-view room. We had a pleasure moment there. Heard soothing sound of sea waves all night (from balcony). And for breakfast, no complaint with lots of choices of food and helpful staffs as well as sensation views of pool and the sea. I will bring more friends and come visit again.

My son booked this hotel whilst on my way home from his wedding in Norway. The hotel was really lovely, the breakfast buffet had everything available. The only negative was the hotel was a walk to the beach...about 10-15 minute walk... they did have a golf type vehicle to take you down, however that was for the day...not anytime. We stayed at this hotel in April for 4 nights, after coming from south of Phuket, and was extremely impressed. The view is amazing, and the food in the poolside restuarant is tasty and affordable. Another big issue for me was the smell in the room when aircon was turned off, near the sofa. It smelt like urine, however it disappeared when aircon was turned on. The smell and lack of towels were the only issues, besides that we had a great stay. I was there over my birthday, and the restaurant had arranged for a cake, and came and sung happy birthday which was a big surprise, and so very sweet. Our room: Studio apartment style, layout was fantastic! Bed overlooking the balcony with spa tub, which overlooks the ocean. BYO speakers if you want to play music from ipod. They come in to wish you good night and I believe if you are in the room they light an oil burner or incense stick for you. Plum restaurant has amazing food, for romantic experience […] book one of the outdoor "sala" tables which is set into an infinity pool- so you are surrounded by water overlooking the ocean. Book for sunset! Sky bar = views; drinks are slightly more expensive than at other hotel bars in Patong. So go to the bars for happy hour (2 for 1 drinks). Sienna Rocks with infinity pool overlooking the ocean is across the street from main hotel entry. Tuk tuk to phuket for 2 people about 400. A free once daily shuttle to patong provided by the hotel but the bus only seats 10 people so book with reception asap. Taxi to the airport by the hotel is 1300, there is a mafia taxi stand outside =800, they are very friendly. I read reports that Rockfish is a great place to eat, only 5 mins walking from the hotel - I stopped in to read their menu, prices were similar to the hotel restaurant, but the place seemed nice. There is a 7/11 about a minute further from Rockfish (6-8min walk from hotel). I recommend you get you drinks and snack here to take back to your room. Beer is 30-60 THB and wine coolers (gold colour is the best) are about 40THB each; compare to minibar 80-200, at the bar 100-350 thb. Continua a leggere

It was the nicest accomodation that we had in Thailand. Felt like we were back in the Mediterranean. Could avesayed a week, however, eat and drink on the local fare, the Opel pricing is like New York for dinner!
