Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, a Kimpton Hotel Philadelphia

The king spa room was spacious, and the extra large jetted bathtub is quite luxurious. Hotel is an easy walk to top restaurants, shopping, and Market Street businesses. Only down side is that they did not replace the windows when they remodeled, so the older single-paned windows allowed in a lot of street noise, including the ability to hear chatter […] and laughing from people standing on the sidewalk below, making it hard to sleep on a Friday night. Booked this hotel for a one night stay in the city of brotherly love. The location was perfect, the hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Highly recommended

Charming boutique hotel with cannolis and coffee and soy milk in the morning, wine in the evening: very nice staff and so helpful to first-time visitors to Philadelphia. Bedding and beds were very comfortable, room was lovely. I never bother to do these surveys, but this was exceptional. Thanks, Hotels.com

Wonderful experience. We ordered room service twice. Both times the food was delicious but extremely expensive. The only negative was that we booked a queen room and we were given a, "free upgrade.". You'll like almost everything about this hotel -- the service and attitude of the staff; the parking, which lets you take you car in and out for free; the restaurant, which is one of the Top 50 in Philadelphia Magazine; the wine reception each night; the action at the bar; and the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. My only complaint is that my room -- […] and I think it's true of all the rooms -- had only a desk chair to sit in. No upholstered chair. It's a small thing, for sure, but ridiculous, I think. An amazing hotel from top to bottom. Can't imagine there being any better place.

We recently stayed at the Palomar with our two children (12 & 14) in a room with two queen beds. We all loved the hotel, even the children thought it was very cool. The staff was very helpful (we got to the hotel in the morning; they held our bags for us and called our cell phone when the room was ready). The afternoon wine was excellent and the kids […] loved the popcorn. The hotel lobby isn't very big and it can get a little cramped during happy hour, but that is a minor concern. The room was not huge, but plenty big enough with two real queen beds and a large flat screen TV that actually showed HDTV (most hotel rooms with flat screens only have standard def). The hotel's location is near everything we wanted to see, and we walked everywhere. Highly recommended overall. Continua a leggere

Chose this hotel as my wife and I like modern,"boutique"-type hotels in the center of the city and this one seemed to fit the bill best. We went all-out and chose the spa room, which has a King-sized bed and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The room was spacious, clean and modernly decorated with a subtle, although admittedly unintentional, S & M theme to […] the bed. Comfortable, firm bed added to my satisfaction. Good views of the city below was an added bonus, even though you have to pay for this extra feature. A nice touch was the leopard and zebra patterned bathroom robes. For nearly $300 per night it would have been nice to have had breakfast thrown in the next day. We also weren't in time for the wine reception so had to settle for average Merlot from the main bar. But this was a minor quibble. But then again we did prefer eating breakfast at the Dandelion just 1 block down the street (a must for anyone visiting Philly) Overall a 4/5 star rating. You walk into the Palomar and instantly feel energized. It's got a great vibe to it. My only concern regarding cleanliness of the room is that there were left over clothes in the drawer of the room, so it appeared that the cleaning service was not 100% thorough. The hotel is new, clean, and the decor is fun and stylish. It's located at the corner of Sansom & 17th, close to restaurants and theaters. And it's dog friendly.

Great hotel, valet parking was quick and efficient, staff was very accommodating, wine reception was awesome. Room was spacious, bathroom was beautiful and HUGE! very well kept, love this hotel, will definitely stay here again!

Have loved Phila Palomar from its opening days, but each time we go something doesn't work. My lamp wasn't working, asked desk to fix it; came back, not fixed. Asked for turn down service, didn't happen. Breakfast on Sunday morning finished at 11 AM. Nice places around, but not very brunch customer friendly. Kimpton once again exceeded my expectations! The hotel is located near everything - great restaurants, yoga studios, shopping etc.! I was here for business but plan to return to the hotel with my family for a weekend to explore Philadelphia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palomar. It started with a valet service for a moderate price but I didn't have to worry about my vehicle for the night and was free to walk the city. There was a wine reception where you could mingle even though we kept to ourselves and ate from an endless bowl of incredly fresh popcorn. The front desk suggested […] an amazing sushi restaurant that was on point. And the next morning after check out they securely held our bags as we got breakfast and went to a museum. Very happy! Refined, elegant place. Bed very comfortable, with soft clean linens. Hot tub in room clean as a whistle, with room for two! Had breakfast and dinner at adjoining restaurant. Peaceful, attentive service and an interesting menu. Close to shopping around Rittenhouse square, and to Academy of music and Kimmel center.

The staff were very professional and the amenities were what you would expect at a good hotel, but the rooms were rather small. Oh, and skip the wine reception if you're a true connoisseur: of the wines I tried there, only one was marginally quaffable while the rest were plonk.

Only stayed one night and loved everything about this hotel. Bright and comfortable modern vibe, we were impressed with so much: the gorgeous lobby with inviting fireplace (so nice on the cold day we were there!), friendly and helpful front desk staff, super quick elevators, spacious rooms (we had a room w/ 2 queens - so much nicer than the usual 2 […] doubles), and fun FREE happy hour! More hotels should take a page out Palomar's Playbook with regard to the latter, creates a fun and welcoming atmosphere with probably not much cost to the hotel. Great shopping on Walnut Street one block up. Will be back! Tip: join Kimpton Rewards for a $10 coupon toward the mini bar and free wifi. Continua a leggere

As every Kimpton Hotel it lives up to fine standards. I would, however, like to to a coffee pot in the room, with the standard coffee amenities.

If I could be pryed from the Japanese Siaj Tub long enough, I found my way outside to forage for food. This Hotel is in the center of the swankier part of Philly. I found a lot of shopping and ate at wonderful restaurants.......all within walking distance! I will be staying there again.

Our friend threw away her shirt because when she used the iron it left a black stain. When I told the check out guy at the end he refunded our $40 parking fee.

We stayed at the Palomar hotel in Philadelphia. It is a fabulous hotel, centrally located to center city. The service was wonderful and the hotel room as well as the amenities were top notch. Awesome hotel, great service, decor, very clean, beautiful room. Complimentary wine happy hour and coffee service was really a nice touch. Restaurant in the hotel (Square 1682) was delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in downtown Philadelphia. Great location. The deluxe spa room was wonderful.
