"Ottimo hotel vicino alla stazione di Mestre"
Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 27 feb 2013Piccolo hotel a 5 minuti di cammino dalla stazione ferroviaria di Mestre. E' in una zona multietnica, tutto sommato tranquilla, con diversi esercizi gestiti da cinesi o africani. Camere piccole, pulizia impeccabile, senza dubbio il miglior rapporto qualità/prezzo per soggiorni sia di lavoro sia di turismo: in alternativa al solito treno (partenze per s.Lucia ogni 15/20 minuti) a 50 metri dall'hotel ferma un autobus, di fronte al supermercato Alì, che porta a piazzale Roma in una ventina di minuti. La colazione nel mio caso poteva essere servita con un pagamento di 5€ a persona, di discreta qualità. Staff cortese e disponibile, non invadente. Attenzione alla reception, non è presidiata 24h: dopo le 23.00 e prima delle 7.00 non c'è nessuno. Si accede alla struttura con un codice dall'ingresso posteriore, dove c'è un piccolo parcheggio auto privato. Segnalo nelle immediate vicinanze (100 metri) una buona pizzeria "Columbus".

Le stanze sono piccole ed un po' usurati gli arredi, ma molto pulite; bella la grande terrazza con affaccio sulla chiesa di San Zaccaria. Squisita la colazione a buffet. Gentilissimo e professionale il personale.

"Lovely all around service and central neighborhood"
It couldn't have been more pleasant. All staff were attentive and accommodating and friendly. Our room was lovely and fresh and just off anise sitting area outside where we enjoyed morning coffee. "Beautiful hotel, but ...."
We stayed for one night, and WOULD go back again with provisos. We took their standard room , which was basically an overloaded en suite box room. It was beautifully done but,It faced onto a smelly "courtyard" ( more like a large service duct), hence,we couldn't open window for ventilation. In the wardrobe was the safe and the usual mini bar(does anyone […] buy from them!). Upshot nowhere to unpack. Staff were great but no alternative room available. Next time we'd avoid their " standard" rooms . The rest of the hotel was beautiful,especially the shared areas and the main courtyard. Breakfast was amazing! THIS HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN AND TIDY, WE STAYED IN A JUNIOR SUITE AND IT WAS A VERY LARGE AND GRAND ROOM, SIMILAR TO THE ONES SHOWN ON THE WEBSITES.. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, AFTERNOON TEA WAS GOOD, VERY GOOD LOCATION FOR WALKING OR FOR A GONDOLA OR FOR WATER TAXIS ETC.. THEATRES CLOSE BY.. EXCELLENT SQUARE BEHIND HOTEL FOR RESTAURANTS AND BARS... MY ONLY GRIPE […] AND FOR ME IS QUITE BIG AS I HAVE TO CONSIDER WORK WHILST IM AWAY WAS THE THE QUALITY OF THE WIFI.. IT DID NOT WORK IN OUR ROOM AND WHEN I COMPLAINED IT SEEMED THAT THEY NEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE.. The Staff was very friendly and helpful with any need. The breakfast was excellent !! Public areas were well appointed. The location isn't a five... required getting luggage over two short bridges.... but that's Venice ! It was a five minute walk from the closest Vaporetta stop but easy to find. Ten minute walk to St. Mark's square. Several nice restaurants […] close by. Also a fruit stand and mini market close by ... and those were NOT in most areas ! All in all it was a lovely stay. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here, it was out of the tourist active area of Venice. There were plenty of shops to browse through and there was a little pizza place up the street that excellent. "Worth staying but don't bank on a good breakfast"
The hotel room, as a suite, was lovely, with a view over a canal. Unfortunately it was placed by the kitchen where the staff prepared breakfast in the morning so there was much banging of plates of etc. Breakfast was buffet style, and was the worst aspect of the hotel. You need energy to see Venice, and while there was plenty of choice, I found the […] pasta dishes that had been sitting there for a while not very appetising. Best thing was the coffee! Reception staff overall were very friendly and efficient and most spoke very good English. The night staff were limited in their English. "Not he best experience"
We traveled in Europe for 24 days, This hotel was the worst experience of our trip and the most expensive hotel during our trip, extremely disappointing. I booked it an hour before we arrived, based on reviews on hotel.com. The hotel was not expecting us and appeared to scramble to provide a room. The room was on the ground floor. It smelled so poorly, […] the smell penetrated my suitcase and when we left, I needed to wash my clothing. The only window without bars that was not viewing a wall, viewed dead trees, not just dead, completely petrified in a lovely rust color. The bathroom ceiling was slanted, I found it quaint but my boyfriend could not stand up. I opened the medicine cabinet and was stunned as it went to the outside and viewed more dead trees. The paint was peeling, especially in the lobby. Signs were posted that the ferries would be on strike in the AM. We were told by the front desk that we would have to take a water taxi as the ferries would not be running. The desk booked us a taxi for 70 euros to the train station. During our taxi ride, we viewed many ferries that were completely full and appeared to be running. If we did not have a lovely dining experience, this overnight stay in Venice would have been completely horrible. "LIKE THE HOTELBUT NO WIFI AS ADVERSTISED...."
The hotel overall was lovely. The staff, Alexandra, Enrico and the Director,Nicola, couldn't be nicer. Their wifi was insufficient and spotty at best. After 3 days of being there Nicola pointed out that there was a LAN line but you need a cable to hook it up. They provided a short USB cable and yes it worked but sooooo slow. They have a beautiful Armoire […] in the room to hang your clothes but nothing other than the desk filled with the coffee maker and papers to put your folded clothes on. Nice property - away from the crowds; great restaurants nearby. Our family of seven stayed in three rooms - a junior suite and two standard rooms. "Don't fall for the ads"
1. The hotel's online description indicates it is accessible by water taxi - not true - the canal is too shallow (we spoke to 3 different taxi guys). 2. The room had a very stale, damp smell (not the normal Venice odour) and didn't seem to have been aired for some time. We brouight the desk guy over who denied there was a problem. When he finally admitted […] that it wasn't up to scratch he said they were fully booked that night and he would move us to another room next morining. 3. That was last we heard from him - zero follow-up. Given we were only booked for one more night we just left the door open any time we were there during the day. "Venice for 2 nights, quick walk to St Marks."
Room was very small and made it hard to move around the room with just 2 people in it. That being said, and this being Venice, we really only went to the room to sleep. "Nice hotel in the middle of everything"
The hotel had great staff, good breakfast, and was very nice inside. The hotel is in a great location as it is within a 10 minute walk of Rialto, St. Marks Square and the Academia Bridge. Rooms are very nice, although a bit small. We really liked the hotel, but they slightly lie about the air conditioning. Each individual unit has its own thermostat […] but it does not do anything.
