We got to the hotel and started settling in until someone had to use the toilet and it wouldn't flush. The hotel had no maintenance on duty until the next morning they said. So we had to pack everything back up and move to another floor. We had no compensation for this happening. Room was OK, basic, comfortable, not real big, small bathroom. Stayed on our way to NY for Christmas, appreciated that they were pet friendly, room was clean, quiet, no odor, and comfortable. Most hotel rooms are the same train car these days -- one (sometimes 2) beds, a dresser, a TV, the bathroom on one end next to the door, the window on the other end. But here you get a separate entrance for the bathroom because just inside the door is a small, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The room also has a small sofa. When I saw the hotel, I was surprised by how ugly it was on the outside and how odd to see the swimming pool on the front of the hotel, right by the parking lot! Once inside, the decor was not the most attractive, but the hotel boasted friendly front desk staff, housekeepers, and a decent continental breakfast in the mornings. The room sported a large […] fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, kitchen sink, and a range, complete with dish detergent, silverware and plates. The hotel was also located right next to a large shopping center with a Martins grocery store, a Starbucks and several restaurants and stores. In addition, the floors were stained, the walls were chipped and marked-up, and the artwork was remioed form the walls. We weren't going to be there very long [1 night, leaving EARLY the next a.m.] was informed that breakfast on Sundays did not start until 7 a.m. - and we had to leave by 7:10.
