probably the most beutiful indian hotel in Mumbai, after the Taj Mahal.

Il quartiere Fort costituisce il cuore di Mumbai, dove un tempo erano concentrate la maggior parte delle attività commerciali e amministrative e dove ancora oggi sono situati alcuni degli uffici più importanti, finanziari e di altro genere. Churchgate è un quartiere in prossimità di Nariman Point, uno dei quartieri più sviluppati di Mumbai, e prende il suo nome dalla famosa stazione ferroviaria omonima. Horniman Circle è uno dei punti di maggior interesse del quartiere Fort, dove sorgono edifici in stile gotico e vittoriano che rievocano il passato, quando l'India formava parte dell'Impero britannico. La Town Hall, un imponente edificio neoclassico, domina l'Horniman Circle. Per coloro che sono interessati all'arte indiana, si consiglia una visita alla Jehangir Art Gallery, celebre spazio espositivo, vicino al Prince of Wales Museum. Tra gli altri simboli della città, si ricordano la fontana Flora, la stazione ferroviaria di Chhatrapati Shivaji (in passato chiamata stazione Victoria), la sede dell'ente comunale e l'Università di Mumbai con la torre dell'orologio di Rajabai.

We enjoyed our stay very much , the only problem was a very slow WiFi connection !
"Walk to Tah Palace Hotel and Gate of India"
The drive from the airport to the hotel takes about an hour and a half thru all the eye opening sights of Mumbai but hotel safe and convenient We had no fear walking to Vic Statio, P of Wales Museum along historic mile to get full flavour of Mumbai Hotel staff friendly and dine in restaurant caters for European/USA tastes
"Good stay"
Hotel look and feel inviting and comfortable. Although a bit away from the main places u can find a special interest in its side street location with more authentic feeling of surrounding neighborhood.Comfortable and clean room, very good breakfast, very good free WiFi connection, very good staff. enjoyed my stay very much.

"Hotel Fariyas Mumbai"
I was hesitant to book this hotel after reading quite a few negative comments. I was pressed for accommodation so booked a night. The hotel was great. Near to the Taj. Our triple room was not ready so we were given another room for a couple hours and upgraded to a stunning suite for the night for the inconvenience. I booked a 2nd night the following […] day with the great staff. Everyone from the doorman to bellboy to concierge to breaksfast attendants were great. Breakfast was great. "The Fariyas Resort"
Fariyas hotel is closeby to someof the very important tourist attractions like the Gateway of India and Taj Hotel and also to the best Pubs in town like Cafe Mondegar ,Leopold and to Delhi Darbar who serves the Best Biryani in town. "Should have a lower rating and lower prices."
The hotel location was great, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful with everything, but the hotel on its own was a big disappointment. I would not consider this to be a 4 star hotel. Food in the restaurants was not good, and even the deluxe room was not very comfortable. The showers/restrooms were not very nice for what should be a 4 star hotel. […] Rates for the rooms were way too high, but most other hotels in the area were fairly high as well. Not recommended. "overpriced and terrible quality"
We were travelling around different parts of India and Mumbai was the one place I struggled to find decent accomodation for a good price. In the end I succumbed to paying a little more for a '5 star' hotel, thinking that for the last two days of our trip we would not regret it. Well we did. We were so disgusted with the quality of our room, in particular […] the bathroom, that we called reception to complain to the manager. First of all housekeeping came to check the cleanliness, then we explained and he went away. The housekeeping supervisor called to insist our room was clean and again we had to explain that we wanted to see the manager. After two more calls with reception, a bell boy appeared to move us to a different room. Which was a little better. I was disappointed though that the manager felt us too unimportant to come and talk to us directly. The staff in the restaurant are useless. It will take about 3 requests to get tea / coffee with your breakfast. And they steam the seats clean, so you leave with a wet bottom. Then the reception staff were useful. It took 20 minutes to simply check out. And then when we asked about a car to the airport, they had the audacity to insist the charge was r1400 when you can get a cool cab for r500!! When I asked about how to book one, they handed me a telephone number. I don't know about your experiences in a smart hotel, but usually they call for you. AND the best bit was this was the duty manager was served me. Of all people you expect top notch service from, and he looked at me like I was being a pain. Taking into consideration we had spent a third in other places, with excellent service...I would never stay here or recommend this place to anyone. Continua a leggere

"Fariyas - Mumbai"
The Hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Breakfast buffet was ample with choice, and the quality of food was great. It was pleasing to receive the complimentary water and newspaper daily. The location is very convenient to the shopping district of Coloba. "Very good 5 star like smail hotel"
smail, but 5 star look. Lobby is good, The restraunt is really good, buffet is very good with beef which is special in India. You'd better go through stairs instead of take elevator because the stairs is extrodinary good. Location is very good,...Taj Maha Palace Hotel is very close...Indian Gate and see shore.
