"Little Gem on 80"
I booked this hotel with a little hesitation because of the price. I traveled with a dog and normally rooms are pretty gross when they're pet friendly. I was so happy with this hotel. It was such a great price and the condition of the room and hotel was great. It was a no frills hotel yet it was immaculate. The woman who checked us in was so helpful […] and nice. "Very clean, well kept and comfortable"
We have never been disappointed with any of the microtel chain. This was no exception. In fact the room was larger than most. No luxurious frills, but very clean, up to date comfortable, and adequate in every respect. Would highly recommend for the money.

"Microtel Hotel"
The hotel was wonderful and the staff were really friendly, however being so close to the interstate you could hear the trucks go by. I felt the hotel was very nice, comfortable beds, and easy access off of the highway. Overall the stay was perfect for what we needed it for. - A quick stay before getting back on the road.
We stayed at this hotel while we were driving from Fort Collins, CO to Vermont. We arrived late at night and the night staff was very friendly. The hotel was easy to find off the interstate, but we got a little turned around trying to find the access road, through the gas station parking lot. I have visited the Des Moines area each month for the past 3 months, and each time I have stayed in a Microtel Inns and Suites. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The staff is efficient and courteous. I would definitely stay again at this chain of Hotels and would recommend it to others.

We stayed overnight to break up the long trip between Chicago and Kansas City. We didn't get there until almost 9:00 p.m. and it is located about 27 miles out Des Moines, Iowa. "2 Night Stay"
Stayed there for 2 nights. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Did not have Breakfasts on weekend. Beds could be a little softer for us. Good internet service. Overall was okay.

This hotel is next to a busy interstate and is noisy all night. We asked for a quiet room, but they put us on the front near the highway anyway.

Nice staff, great room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, nice shower/bath, and on time wake up call. Right off Interstate 80 away from Des Moines. Close gas stations and resturants.
"The best in the middle of nowhere"
This hotel is excellent if all you want is a nice bed and a hot shower. It's starting to show wear on the inside but it still looks better than any of the hotels that we seen in Newton. The staff was very accommodating and very pet friendly to KC and Max our two Schnauzers. Thanks....

This is a gorgeous hotel and you can't beat the rate. Got in around 2 a.m. and up again at 7 a.m. to continue a road trip...but check-in was speedy due to hotels.com prepayment, room was excellent. Really comfy pillows in this place. Desk clerk was too nice in the morning when I grabbed a quick breakfast and checked out. "Great hotel for any roadtrip, very clean"
The hotel is extremely cheap for the value. The hotel is very clean with large rooms. It is located near the highway basically in the middle of a corn field but the hotel is brand new and the rooms compare to hotels that i have spent over a hundred dollars a night to stay at. Highly recommended!

We were very surprised that such a reasonably priced hotel would be so nice. The lobby and room were immaculate. They were both extremely clean and nicely decorated.
