QT Gold Coast Surfers Paradise

QT was so nice everything from the designer rooms to the delicious breakfast. Parking is cheap and Stingray is a nice place to have a drink. The complimentary lemonade is delicious

Super hotel, modern touch to it, the breakfast ( additional 22 USD) is absolutely the best I hav ever experienced. Nice people, friendly, everything is ship-shape, top modern, no rush.

A culture of good service has not filtered throughout all the Hotel staff. There are some stand out employees who seem to get it but some others who definatly dont and it lets the whole side down.

Worth it..!!

QT is a great hotel in a fantastic location not far from the beach and Cavill Av. The rooms are great and the beds are amazing. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I ended up choosing this hotel as I had a very strict budget to follow and a wife and 2 kids to fit in a room ... The room offered two queen size beds and the pictures on the website seemed promising ... Though it didn't have a star rating ... But I was there only for 2 nights so it seemed worth the risk ... (I am someone who spend 200 nights annually […] in hotels globally due to business travelling) & when I arrived there ... I found it to be surprisingly pleasant ... The reception staff was very helpful ... The luggage was in the room while we checked in ...l the guy at the door didn't seem like a typical hotel staff ... Due to his dress and style ... The hotel is set on a theme ... And the appearance and staff live upto it ... The furniture and look of the room is exactly like what u will find on the website .... It is a 10 min walk away from all the dining places & stores .... And the beach is literally 10 steps away .... My family loved their stay at the hotel specially after comparing it with out hotel in Sydney ... I have already recommended it to my friends and 2 of them checked in the week after us .... In short, if u r looking for a good spot to crash and don't want to spend extra loads on a fancy brand name ... This is a perfect place .... The price I got was awesome ... And no extra cost was booked for kids .... We ate out mostly so can't comment on the dining options .... The only thing that can be improved is the underground parking .... You can tell that this place has recently had a makeover. It didn't look very nice from the outside but it is a whole new world inside. Entrance is very funky and the rooms are very modern. Nice touch with the free lemonade. Pity the pool is so small but that would probably be the only minor disappointment, the beach is literally across the road so […] we couldn't complain. Stayed one night, early check in was great, did not expect that. All in all it's a good place to be when in Surfers. My wife and I had a fun and enjoyable time there, the chick interior design of the hotel and the Kill Bill style uniforms of some of the staff was a refreshing change from the usual drab garb worn by staff of other hotel chains. I must […] comment on the Stanley Krubrik (2001 A Space Odyssey movie) feeling when i walked out of the elevator and into the corridor that led to our room on level 17. I got that sense of being in that movie every time I returned to our room. Very cool. Also the In-house robes provided in the room were fun to wear as we could play act being a boxer (we were dancing to "eye of the Tiger". Or have fun being The Dark Lord Jedi with the robe hood draped low over the head. Just little things that we will enjoy remembering. The Japanese restaurant was fun and a last minute booking was slotted in with no fuss, we had a great Shabu Shabu and the staff were pleasant and attentive. It would have to be on hotel that caters for everyone even those that can never be satisfied. This my second time and certainly not the last. from my arrival to departure. I have never found a place where the personnel looks good, act well, make you feel great, take the time to listen and remembers that you have your cafe just the way you ordered it, […] day after day. I went for a relaxing time on my own and i did just that. my room was clean, comfortable, funky, affordable and quiet. what else could i have wanted? it was all there, here and now! Close to everything, Beach, shops etc. Have stayed there before & would stay there again.

All I can say is book this hotel !!!!! We went up to watch the Gold Coast 7's and this hotel made the trip, the rooms where big, and comfortable, the Bar was awesome, and the staff helped us out whenever we needed something. Looking forward to the next booking at this hotel. Will not stay anywhere else now.

Hotel currently under refurbishment, so seemed that staff were still getting used to new facilities and wondered if they had changed check in procedure as took longer than usual when checking in. Arrived early to check in and were able to provide our room but only after we watched another guest check in did we realize what the pitcher and glass in the […] room was for (had a recipe for lemonade but nothing in room to make drink) and were not offered complimentary lemonade as another guest we watched checking in. Was taking a shower in the afternoon after checking in and the circuit for the light blew, so lost all light in the bathroom... Luckily it was still light outside and could make way out of the bathroom in one piece. When we brought this to attention of staff they arranged this to be seen to and when arrived back from dinner the lights were working again. Stayed on a Sunday night and could hear construction work starting at 9am in the morning. Room fairly clean, however there was hair from the last guest on the decorative pillow. Not sure why the decor in the room included a candle being we were staying in a non-smoking room and hotels usually front upon open flames. Continua a leggere

From the moment I checked in my stay was just perfect. The room had a great view. It was spotless and spacious. The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Carparking was great. It is a very short walk to the main shopping and dining area of Surfers Paradise. The Coffee Shop is brilliant. The room was very quiet which was important the night before […] a marathon. Tammy on the front desk was amazing! Great service and beautiful foyer - we are looking forward to coming back when all the rooms have had the re-furb!

We arrived to find the 2 rooms we'd booked were separated by 2 other rooms packed full of teenagers smoking, drinking & wandering shirtless between the rooms. Their doors were wide open & they were very noisy. I reported this to reception immediately & asked if we could be moved. We were told no as the hotel was fully booked. They did offer to send […] security up as it was a no smoking floor and they had a strict no parties policy. Despite 3 trips up by security the noise persisted & floor reeked of smoke. Our charming neighbours also woke us up at 2am by coming home extremely drunk slamming doors continuously, running up & down the hallway, & loudly whinging about who had pashed who etc. Again, I called security twice & within an hour the group finally passed out & shut the hell up. Whilst we got a 12pm late check out, a free tennis racquet hire and security did act quickly when we reported the noise, when you've just arrived after a long trip do you really want to be playing mum or bouncer to a group full of underage drunks in the rooms next door - Seriously not a great first impression when you've been looking forward to a nice break!!! In addition to the schoolies neighbours, upon arrival I also found that my TV remote didn't work (broken upon arrival), there was no room service menu in the room, (I had to request one as it had been removed & not replaced) & my friends in the other room were told they were to share a room key despite it being a double room because the hotel staff "didn't have enough." (I requested one saying it was ridiculous to share with 2 people and they gave me one straight away). I thought the rooms were quite clean, though I found a golf ball on the floor in my room?! The furnishings were nice but not 5 star, you can tell it's older style units that have been renovated i.e. old bath tub, sink and tiles with new taps etc. Beds were REALLY comfortable though and for most of the nights, we had a good sleep. Close to Cavell Avenue, great place to stay

Walked to everything we wanted to see - no driving required. Staff at hotel could not have been more helpful. Very relaxing enjoyable holiday. Have already referred this hotel to family and friends. Was a bit reluctant when I realised hotel was under renovations, we experienced no inconvenience at all. The hotel looked fabulous.

Got a great deal on a short break at QT Surfers. We didn't have massive expectations because of the price so we were VERY happy with what we got. On entering the foyer we were very pleasantly surprised with the stylish, modern feel. Staff were totally superb and couldn't do enough. Swimming pool nice. Only criticism in this area is spa was cold. Coffee/snacks […] available round the pool for a very reasonable price. We had booked a basic room and it had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. Bathroom a little dated BUT was clean, a good size and well laid out which means more to me. The location of the hotel was excellent. We parked the car up and didn't need it for the whole stay as you can walk to the beach, shops and restuarants of surfers very easily. 1. The room keys never worked what ever time we had to go back to reception to get keys fixed. 2. $8.00 per day for the carpark!!!! You get stuck and can not get out FANTASTIC!!!!!!! 3. The hotel is undergoing major renovations. The entrance to the lobby was relocated without proper signages to give directions. No consideration was given to the guests' comfort and convenience at all. Counter staff were totally unhelpful as well. The works started at 7.30am in the room next to ours!! for 1st night we were booked in river view room and other 4 nights in ocean view room. On arrival staff upgraded our 1st night to ocean view room as well. It was such a nice gesture. Room was in good condition. There was a welcome card on the table to wish us a happy honeymoon. The only thing we didn't like was the bathroom. Very old, a little bit […] fungus in the sink. Other than that it was all good. Food at the restaurant was great. We requested in our booking for the room on high floor. Our room was on 9th. I wish we would have got a room on a higher floor. a bit noisy due to the hotel is undergoing renovation. I heard people screaming constantly cuz a 'gaint swing' is located not far away from the hotel. Screaming noise came every few minutes which was very annoying. Generally, good hotel to stay for a few nights at gold coast, short walk to the centre, nice ocean view, good room service (the pizza is […] yummmm). Located just a brief stroll north from the heart of Surfers Paradise is the Gold Coast International Hotel. Rooms are spacious neat and well-presented. Service is exceptional! Swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, conference rooms and so much more available, including 3 restaurants! Great value for money. Look for great package deals.

The venue was most enjoyable and staff were very friendly. The room was better than expected. The venue was close to the beach and a short walk to a lot of activities. I attended the Gold Coast 600, which the accommodation was only a short distance to the track.

The hotel is under renovation during the stay. the buffet is really bad.. I would not think anyone will want to go for the food at all at such an unreasonable price.

Staff rude at check in. Roof leaked in one of the public eateries that you needed to walk through to get to the pool. Towels, buckets and an industrial air blower on stairs that you needed to walk up to get to the pool. One of the lights in one of the lifts had come away from the ceiling and was just danglering in the lift.

nice and close to cavill ave and the shops. short 2 min walk to the beach! just the renovations going on that was a bit of a hinderance but overall a fabulous holiday hotel

It was very good, to stay there... clean room and bathroom, and it's not too far from civil shopping center.

Spacious room, great view, comfortable beds, good location - close to transport, Cavill Mall, beach, river. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed was a little too stiff for my liking. The mattress was not as comfort as I would have liked it to be. It was fine while laying on my back; however, if I wanted to roll over on my stomach, it was uncomfortable.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 5 nights and found the staff to be very approachable,helpful, friendly and courteous. The buffet breakfast was reasonable and the room cleaning excellent. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family .

there was extensive reconstruction work underway which limited the in-house dining facilities. The room was fine with the expected ocean view but the bathroom was tired, albeit clean. We chose this location as opposed to further South of Surfers to be close to the Tedder Avenue restaurants and to check out the improvements in Surfers. Tedder Av is dying […] and none of the restaurants we chose from the internet was still operating! Surfers was improved but not enough to eat there so we drove to the Broadbeach restaurant area which was vibrant and had two great dinners. We had the most wonderful time in the 6 days we stayed at the GCI. The staff were excellent, really friendly and totally helpful when needed. We had the most amazing views from our room on the 21st floor and the whole experience was great. We would definitely go back again!
