canmore was great, it was a nice walk to the river and to down town shopping. The hot tubs were great. We will be going back next year.

It is a good hotel for a great price! We had a good stay at the Silver Creek Lodge. Loved the huge three outdoor hottubs that fit an entire extended family- we had ours to ourself. Even though the hotel is directly located next to Tans Canada Highway 1 we did not hear any trafiic noise at all- it was very quiet.

Very beautiful hotel but not very customer services oriented. The front desk was not very helpful and it closes at night.

The suite was almost perfect and before we went to bed I had decided it was my new favorite place to stay in Canmore. Great views, lovely decor, balcony, etc. However, the bed was awful - looked great but once you got in is was a bad mattress with a slope on it and no support at all. The bathtub is the greastest thing i have ever seen. It falls from the ceiling! so cool.

Room was very upscale.. However, Cleanliness was not great i'n certain areas such as stove top had not been cleaned in a long while.., dishwasher was still full, bathroom sink was plugged etc. Called front desk as there was only 1 wine glass i'n room. They said since suite was privately owned they could not help me.. Comfort of bed and pillows was great. […] Housekeeping only came once i'n a three day stay..overall.. The hotel is pretty good, the cheaper rooms without a balconey are not nearly as desirable. I enjoyed my stay, and would stay again.

Wow. Just...wow. In addition to the full kitchen, balcony overlooking the mountains and laundry -- yes, full in-suite laundry -- there were tons of extras. The hot pools were amazing, there was in-floor heating in the bathroom and a huge soaker tub, the suite was wired with a sound system...bamboo and slate floors, the best check-in we have ever had, […] and Canmore is our favourite Rocky Mountain location. We recently stayed here and loved the night we were there. Our room was beautiful and we could have easily stayed there for a lot longer-if time allowed! The kitchen was great, even if we didn't use it and so was the bathroom. We got downgraded from a one bedroom suite due to maintenance to a room with a murphy bed which would have been a turnoff if […] we were there for longer than we were. We stayed here for 3 nights and we were very happy. It's kind of an appartment with 1 room, kitchen and living room. Everthing was good except they needed to improve the lighting. It just didn't have enough light. We needed to move one side lamp from living room to bedroom. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The living room is equiped with DVD […] player, TV and cables. Really good experience.

The problem with the hotel is it offers no night services. We arrived at 10:30 but the reception was closed. An off site security person let us in after we waited 30 minutes. The hotel doors are locked so if you leave for an early morning walk you can't get back in.

Facility was both clean and had excellent amenities fully prepared kitchen, balcony, .... Our family enjoyed the location close to the Canadian Rockies and Banff - very convenient.

Had checked with Trip Advisor first before booking. Fabulous hotel: spotless, upscale, modern. Wonderful location to get right on the highway. Beautiful views facing the mountains, quiet, very comfortable, 3 wonderful hot tubs in a zen garden setting. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I made a 5 day trip to Banff National Park and I booked the Silver Creek Lodge based on its ratings and affordability. The place was a bit difficult to find initially due to vague directions on both Google Maps and Mapquest but friendly locals pointed the way. The location is right off the TransCanada highway just before you enter the National […] Park and therefore is very convenient and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the Canmore area. The room was a suite with washer dryer, kitchen, and a very classy bathroom with a deep tub and was very nice, with a chic contemporary look. This was basically like staying in a very nice condo for five days. Also, the restaurant, wild orchid, serves delicious Japanese food and I highly recommend it. The only downside to this place was that there was no daily housecleaning, so it really was like staying in a very nice apartment rather than a hotel room. It was great having a washer dryer and we could make our own meals after going shopping at nearby grocery stores. I have no regrets staying in Canmore rather than the overpriced and somewhat run-of-the mill options in Banff itself. Banff is only a short drive away so we never felt far from the action. I showed up late because of a delayed flight and the office was closed for the night, but the security service that makes after hours check in was very quick to arrive. He was curtious and got me through check in efficiently, which I appreciated due to the hour. Got to my room and it was perfect, way more than I was expecting. Really well appointed […] with beautiful contemporary styling. The bed was great and I woke up well rested. If you come to Canmore stay at the Silver Creek Lodge. This was a very nice hotel, it was one of our last on our trip and it was great. Only thing is we would of liked a balcony. Staff were very friendly at the front desk and helpful. Room was very clean and I just loved the decor. Did not go to restaurant because that was not the type of food that we were interested in. Underground parking was nice especially […] if its raining. Nice place, very convenient and it couldn't be easier to find. The significant issue for me was the lack of individual thermostats in each room, the temperature is controlled by the hotel itself. In other words whatever the building temperature is set to, that will reflect the temperature of your hotel room. If you are on the back side of the building, […] facing the city, you will be quite warm in the summer. I was there at the end of July and I didn't sleep at all, it was much too warm. We loved staying here, it worked out so well having a child and being able to make our own meals and being so close to the highway which made for easy access getting to our sights. We really can't wait for our next visit.

I stayed in a "B" hotel style room for a night with my wife. When we first walked in we thought the place looked lovely. THE GOOD Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, nice finishings, high roof and was a nice size. Huge bathtub. Bed was pretty comfortable. The room was clean. THE BAD Because we were in a "B" room, we had no control over […] the room temperature. The room was way too hot and humid. We could also hear our neighbours' conversation easily through the door to the adjoining room. THE UGLY There was something wrong with the plumbing in our room. The toilet clogged up with about 10 squares of toilet paper and overflowed on to the floor. Very unpleasant. Being wrist deep with a plunger down a hotel toilet is not something I expect to have to do. Continua a leggere

GOOD - very clean and comfortable bedding. I woke each morning feeling well rested. Curtains darkened the bedroom. a beautiful suite exactly as pictured, with nice dishes, and all appliances worked. washer/dryer in room, plenty of drawers and closet space.. indoor parking garage bath - single stream option from center of oversized tub. separate pan […] head shower also. did not use the heated flooring but this was in our lav. BAD - our room had a connecting door but we didn't know the other people who stayed in the next room. they complained to front desk about the 'noise' at 11pm. we were discussing a movie after watching it. the next morning I could hear everything they said clearly and the sounds of their suitcase zippers. I assume the door has no gasket (rubber sweep) to block the sound over the laminate/tiled floor. children on sleeper sofa could not make their room dark despite cream-colored soft shades. had to ask front desk for washcloths to have one for each of us, a total of four. this was written down on a list to be sure it was left after our stay. consider bringing some of your own if you don't wish to launder your washcloths daily. steam room out of order, 1 of the 3 hot tubs out of order. SUGGESTIONS - take your own music to play on cd player and then pipe music throughout your living quarters. Silver Creek Lodge is an outstanding hotel in Canmore. The rooms are modern and beautiful and the staff go out of their way to ensure a wonderful stay. I will be staying here next time I come to Canmore for sure.
