"Kauai Inn"
Una sorpresa! l'hotel è a due piani soltanto a ferro di cavallo e nel mezzo la piscina (deludente, ma se siete alle hawaii e andate in piscina meglio se stavate a casa!). Immerso nel verde tra l'oceano e le montagne verdissime! La struttura è piccola e datata ma le camere sono pulitissime, grandissime (bagno immenso e letto king size, ci si poteva stare […] in 4 comodi) e giardino privato! a disposizione bevande sempre gratis alla reception. Personale molto disponibile. Obbligatorio avere la macchina anche per andare in spiaggia, la più vicina è a qualche minuto di guida. A Kauai non ci sono grandi centri quindi com posizione un hotel vale l'altro a mio avviso, in ogni caso si è a 5 minuti dall'aeroporto di Lihue e a 10 dalla cittadina. This place was awesome! the staff was very friendly and the hotel was really nice. they have snorkel gear, boogie boards, and other beach stuff for you to use when you go to the beach for free! "Loved this hotel!"
Not a big resort which is what we wanted. It was a great price with wonderful staff. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Loved having coffee every morning with a great view of the mountains. "A hidden gem out through the port area"
This place isnt perfect but it suited me and was a reasonable Price. It has a nice mt outlook but if yr walking into town and back (about 20 mins) you have to go thru the industrial park and port area. I think they might be stopping the continental breakfasts after feb 2013. Only 45 rooms , a swimming pool(shallow) in a nice pool area and friendly staff. […] I would stay again. The grounds are beautiful with mountains towering in the background. The people and service were great. The room was clean and the hotel is conveniently located, but within hearing distance of the the islands main shipyard. Good value for the price. The location was away from the main resorts, so very quiet but only couple minutes drive to the restaurants and nice beach. "Great bidget stay"
This is a good alternative for those who don't need to be near the beach. You have to drive past the port to get there and it is located in a residential neighborhood so services such as shops and restaurants are a drive (or 1 mile walk) away. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We opted for the patio room which was nice to have for sitting outside after […] touring. The view of the mountains from the patio was beautiful. Breakfast was fresh fruit and Costco muffins and other toastables. Lots of coffee all day. Since most of our time was spent driving to other places, this was perfect. There was some noise from the neighboring room late in the evening and once we heard screeching tires outside at night but in general it was pretty quiet. "Very relaxing stay."
The staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The hotel is nothing fancy but well maintained. The breakfast had lots of fruit as well as coffee, juice and assorted breads. In the afternoon there was also complimentary tea and coffee that were available. The pool was small and only 3ft. deep, great for cooling off but not (adult)swimming. "Perfect for some...."
This hotel may not be for everyone. If you are looking for a nice "resorty" type vacation then you do not want to stay here. For my husband and I the hotel worked nicely due to its central location and affordability. It was clean but not spotless, well kept but not amazing, and perfect for people that don't plan to spend long hours in their hotel room. […] The continental breakfast was a huge bonus because it helped save some money. And it was located close enough to lihue to find a quick place to eat, drive east or west and be there in a relatively short amount of time. We probably would not stay here again just because if we came back we want to try out different towns but if you need a cheap, centrally located hotel that provides bfast than it is perfect. Had a great week stay here.Friendly helpful staff, especially Chris and Corrine. Hotel grounds are kept clean and neat.Room decor is a little dated, but great value for the price. Continental breakfast was fresh and great. The hotel loans free of charge, beach items to use ie, beach towels,snorkel equipment,boogie boards even ice chest and beach chairs […] .Having these things available to use for free made outings to the beach so much more pleasant and affordable. Centrally located in the town Lihue makes this a great place to stay.Close to the airport . A modest hotel with a nice fruit and light breakfast included.no nasty resort fee's.Basic accomation.The bed was comfortable.We used the barbeque in the back of the hotel to cook our supper but there are no dishs in room so we used disposable's.Need good directions or gps to find in dark.Close to a nice beach by Duke's restaraunt,Overall the price won […] hands down and it was a pleasant stay.If you need to have high end this is not for you but if you are a practical traveler and like to put your buck on activities then book this place. "Great Place for a night or a long stay"
We have never stayed anywhere where the staff was so accommodating. All we had to do was ask and if they had what we needed it was ours for as long as we needed it free of charge. Even though they say they charge for late check out we were suprised at how lenient they were for us since our flight didn't leave until evening. Maybe it's because we stayed […] there for two weeks. The breakfast was great every morning. That's not something you see very often on Hawaii at any of the islands. The breads, fruits and bagels were fresh every day and even though the staff tells everyone when they check in that breakfast starts at 8:15AM, it was usually ready before then. The mountains behind the Kauai Inn made the perfect backdrop for the hotel. Our bed was one of the best we've ever slept on, even comparing it to ours at home. We didn't actually use the pool but it was clean and maintained every morning. I'm not sure when we will go to Kauai again but we will definitely stay here when we do. "Solid, practical hotel."
The Kauai Inn was a very good value.The staff was very friendly and helpful for whatever you might need. Ice chests and boogie boards were available for day use. Breakfast was nice...fresh fruit, toast and Costco muffins. The BBQ was nice to have accessible if you wanted to eat in your room or around the grounds. "Great place to crash!"

The hotel is a 10 minute drive from Lihue where we conducted our business. Room was decent and beds were comfortable. Beautiful landscaping in the surrounding area. "Greatest hotel experience."
The hotel is close to everything so that is a plus. The staff treated us like family and everyone was so nice. It was quiet and peaceful. The view of the mountins is just beautiful. "bbq grills, great free coffee and breakfast"
Really nice for the price. Great place to relax after long days exploring the island. Mountain views are a reminder you're on Kauai and the free coffee all day was so good just black it made me want to beach slap Starbucks for not using local coffee in the airport.
