Our stay at the Royal Maniace was a delight. The staff were outstanding. Just wanted to say "yes ". Breakfast served on our balcony overlooking the sea will be a memory that will stay with us for ever. Excellent dinners prepared by a very talented young chef. My wife had a desire to sample some of the famous red prawns. Somehow these were found at very […] short notice and were wonderful. Trophie pasta with porcini also memorable. Gianni in the restaurant took care of us faultlessly. Dinner was also served on our balcony just for a very reasonable 3 Euro service charge. We usually do not return to our holiday destinations.( Too many places to see ) but for this hotel we may well break the habit of a lifetime. Ortigia is also wonderful. Continua a leggere

Within walking distance of the old centre of Ortigia. Friendly staff. Would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room also air conditioning rather noisey at night, otherwise an excellent few days.

This is a fine newish hotel on Ortigia. A sea view is essential, especially with a good balcony like room 116, which has space for three plus table and a walkway. Maybe slightly offputting for the number of passers-by in summer though! Sleep quality is good as it's pretty quiet and walls are solid. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of fresh bread, […] cakes, fruit etc. There is a pleasant garden and courtyard at the rear. We did not eat in the hotel although the menu looked good, just that it would not have had the atmosphere of the other restaurants in town. The free shuttle bus stops right outside the hotel and connects with the main car park and bus/train stations every half hour at 10 and 40 past the hour. Unfortunately there seems to be an assumption that everyone has a car, so some of the staff are not as clued up as they could be about buses, either shuttles or routes from Rubino bus station (AST or Interbus). Do not be put off though, as it is fairly straightforward to move about the area by public transport, so long as you do not intend to do it on a bank holiday or Sunday. Well designed hotel with helpful staff, clean well-aired rooms. Location is slightly on the perimeter of Ortigia - but its not a big place. Breakfast room overlooks the sea - with a cooling breeze.

Unfriendly staff, difficult parking and problems with the air conditioner. Loved Siracusa, but not the hotel!

room was small and dark without view, even though hotel was right on the seaside. No services in particular. Breakfast only adequate. No bar. No bathtub.

This is a wonderfully situated hotel, right on the sea front in Ortigia, the old part of Siracusa (Syracuse). We paid a little extra for a sea view room, (room 124). It was a large room, with a very large bed, well furnished and with a smart, clean bathroom. There were two French windows, each leading onto a balcony, one looking right out to the Mediterranean […] sea with views around the bay, the other with a table and chairs looked out to the sea and also into the hotel courtyard. Reception staff were helpful but some only had a basic command of English. Take with a pinch of salt the statement that the hotel has car parking. This means spaces on the road in front of the hotel that anyone could use. These were permanently full. We used the public covered parking at Talete. This is free during the day (except weekends – 1 euro) and only one euro overnight. Breakfast was good with lots of choice – bread, cake, pastries, meats, cheese, jam, fruit, yogurt, cereals. The hotel staff were extreemly helpful and made no fuss about changing our room for one with a bath when one became free. They were without exception firendly and cheerful. Breakfast was adequate, but the range of restaurants nearby was tremendous - especially liked 'The Vin de l'Assassin'.. Basic television in the rooms was limited. Internet access […] was good. great hotel with excellent sea view ....super location close to all the must see in ortigia....fantastic restaurants 3-5 minute walk from hotel....

We stayed in a classic room, which naturally didn't have a sea view but did have a little courtyard. Lovely bathroom and big room but the only issue being a constant buzzing (we were in 114) the staff seemed to know about it and it went when they turned everything off at 11pm. Slightly odd as you couldn't charge phone or anything overnight or a buzz […] started! Lovely view of the sea for breakfast and really polite and cheery professional staff. Excellent location too! This isn't a luxury hotel by any stretch, but the view is amazing and it's a great value.

I'd highly recommend this hotel for the pleasantness of the staff and accommodations. The extremely poor Internet access was the only drawback. I've personally had much better access in much worse hotels in third world countries!

Hotel Maniace is ideally located along the ocean road at the edge of Ortygia. It was perfect for exploring, just walk out the door and go in any direction. The main plaza was just minutes away. This hotel is in a wonderful location. The staff are friendly and recommended good restaurants nearby for both lunch and dinner. We had a room with a sea view and the room was spacious and really nicely decorated. The bathroom was spacious. We were booked in for one night but when we arrived we immediately wanted to stay longer.

Once you get here, you won't want to leave. Finding it was a big challenge with the labyrinth of one-way and restricted access streets so try to get good directions in advance. The hotel is on the waterfront and you can walk anywhere on the island of Ortigia from it. We were in Room 116, which has a great balcony overlooking the water. Pros: rooms are expensively (lot of marble)renovated and in a good shape, respecting the old structure of the building. Air Con was working fine, TV satellite should actually cover some more chanels and display them in a better quality. Cable Internet was free of charge and pretty fast. Nice breakfast as well. Contr: although the room doors appear do […] be kind newly installed incl. a sophistacted locking/display system they can only be closed w/out the key, e.g. you have to shut them quite heavily. Subsequently it's pretty noisy in the morning/evenings when you hear all people (incl. yourself) shutting/slamming their doors. Decent parking can be a hassle if your not lucky enough to get a place in front and on the left side of the sea, where parking is kind of allowed/tolerated, whereelse parking at seaside isn't without having a ticket/permission. Un hotel muy coqueto y agradable en un sitio precioso. Desayunar mirando al mar y ver amanecer desde la ventana, exquisitos. El desayuno muy bien y la habitación muy bonita.

Das Royal Maniace liegt direkt am Meer in unmittelbarer Näge des historischen Stadtzentrums. Der Dom, die Einkaufsstraßen und die Restaurants sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die moderne Ausstattung und das nette Personal sind eine Empfehlung für das Hotel.

8/31に１泊しました。テラス付きの海の見える部屋でしたがテラスから朝日を見ることができて感動でした。ドゥーモ広場やアレトゥーサの泉まで歩いて5～10分程度ですし近隣にレストランもたくさんあるのでとても便利でした。

Un hotel encantador, un desayuno estupendo con fruta fresca y zumo natural. Mi unica queja es que la segunda noche no reponen los complementos de baño, por lo demas, estupendo.

Hôtel bien placé sur l'île. Nous avions réservé deux nuits à Syracuse en chambre standard : vue sur un mur blanc à 3 mètres de la fenêtre: on nous a dit qu'il aurait fallut prendre chambre supérieure pour ne pas avoir ce mur à 3 mètres de notre fenêtre !!! Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel lors d'un tour de Sicile en famille et nous sommes tombés sous le charme. Situé dans un bâtiment ancien très joliment rénové avec une magnifique vue sur la mer il est très confortable, très propre et son personnel est très accueillant. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une très jolie chambre, spacieuse, lumineuse […] avec un balcon et une vue imprenable sur la mer (la 124, celle des photos!). Nos 2 enfants partageaient une chambre plus petite et moins lumineuse mais très agréable et confortable. Nous en avons gardé un excellent souvenir. Continua a leggere

Hotel Perfekt in der Mitte der Stadt, und trotzdem rühig!

Utmärkt hotel med mycket bra frukost i mysiga kvarter. Kanon restaurang runt hörnet - Trattoria Svevia - prova den!!

Hyggelig hotell. Fine rom med varierende størrelse og utsikt.

La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite, avec une très belle vue sur les chambres situées face à la mer. La chambre était correcte, mais sa propreté clairement insuffisante, et plus particulièrement dans la salle de bains. Vraiment dommage vu les autres points positifs apportés par cet hôtel...

expensive but worth it, right on the water, good position for wandering around ortigia, no pool but you can go swimming in the ocean just up the road. good service, breakfast choice a bit limited but good quality.

Mooi hotel op heel goede locatie in "Centro Storico" van Syracuse. Zeer vriendelijk personeel met goede service. Gratis gebruik van internet (ook wifi in de lobby). Redelijke prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Ontbijt ook voldoende gevarieerd.

Velbeliggende med italiensk charme. Lækkert renoveret. Venlig betjening.

Vi hadde en flott opphold på RMH, et veldig stilig hotell. Nydelig beliggenhet ved sjøen og nær badebryggene. Frisk og god frokost. Veldig hyggelig service.
