Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 14 feb 2013Ci siamo stati alla fine di gennaio, eravamo un po' in ansia perchè prenotato all'ultimo minuto e con un buonissimo rapporto di prezzo. L'hotel è molto carino, vicinissimo all'Universal studio (per il quale forniscono un pullman molto comodo). Pulito, camere molto spaziose, caffè e tè 24 su 24. La colazione è insuperabile (caffè,the,latte,succhi,hamburger, uova, bacon, pane e dolci,waffles,e frutta a volontà).Personale disponibile. Palestra piccola ma attrezzata. Wi-fi in tutte le camere e spazi comuni, lavanderia e un ampio parcheggio. Spero di tornarci presto!!! Paola e Andrea Roma

Abbiamo soggiornato in una king suite con vasca idromassaggio e ci riteniamo abbastanza soddisfatti sia per la pulizia che per il confort. L'hotel è collegato a Walt Disney World per mezzo di bus-navetta, comodo per chi vuole evitare il traffico della Worldcenter dr o della International dr, principali vie di collegamento per i parchi Disney e Universal. In definitiva un bell'affare.

"Nice hotel"
This is a beautiful hotel, no doubt. It however was not my favorite place to stay and I do not think I would pay to stay there again. It is not easy to get to Disney. They do offer shuttle service, but we asked about going to Downtown Disney and they said they only have service there 3 times a day. We did not ask how often the bus ran to the other Disney […] locations. We ended up having to pay a taxi round trips everywhere. This got expensive. I also was not aware that I had to pay a $25 resort fee daily. Ouch! I got over the money issue quickly because this is the Waldorf and I knew it would be expensive. The real reason I was not crazy was that the hotel did not feel young and hip. The hotel music is basically elevator music and the entertainment was piano music.....nice but not fun. We walked over to the Hilton, an easy walk though the convention area. The pool (lazy river) looked great. The restaurants were really nice and friendly. The music in the hotel lobby was young and fun. If it had to do this again, I would have booked the room and stayed at the Hilton. "beware of extra costs"
Lovely hotel, however you HAVE to use the valet parking, which is $25 a day then there is an additional $25 a day hotel surcharge. "Did not treat us well"
The reception and valet were great. You are better off saving money and staying at the Hilton. The Hilton pool staff was much better than the Waldorf. Also, our beds were not made by 5pm on 3 of the 7 nights we stayed. When asked about it, I felt as if the staff were the guests and I was the staff...as if it were an honor for them to actually clean […] our rooms on time. The best was when I was told that they were really busy because of the holiday. When a hotel is able to charge twice as much for a holiday and make four times the profit, they should be able to service its guests not make excuses. If you are going to Disney, do not stay here, it is not worth it...the cost is high, it's inconvenient as it takes time to the parks, and teenagers who think they are better than you pool staff was a joke. "Wonderful hotel!"
My wife and I had a great experience at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. We were there right after the winter break rush, so that might have been why we were able to get a nice upgrade to a suite on a low floor. The room was fantastic, and the lobby/ entrance area was spectacular as well. Extremely spacious. Staff went out of their way- little things like […] remembering our names, and being polite and professional. Everything about this hotel is outstanding! Worth every penny! The customer service is remarkable, courteous, very professional. Rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Our stay was fabulous! Can't say enough about the staff and the hotel. We had our two sons aged 1 & 4 with us for our trip to Disney World and the staff were so accommodating. Had a wonderful time. Booked a Disney Stay at the Waldorf because of the hotel, spa, and restaruants. was an adult trip so did not need to be staying right at the park. The hotel is beautiful. Open lobby bar playing piano music, the concierge staff and bell men were amazingly helpful... booking shows, getting tickets for theme parks... The bell men […] went above and beyond as well. Rooms were great... had to unplug the fridge in the room was making a load noise but quickly figured out what it was. I'd definitely stay there again. Pool was great, spa treatements were very good as well. Steam room did not work on 2 occasions of the 4 day trip... spa staff said it just happens a lot. we did book this trip partly for the spa services so I hope to hear this is resolved. This hotel is beautiful. My husband and I were there for 5 day getaway. The food was great. Our dinner at the Bull and Bear was amazing with fabulous and friendly service. "Long waiting times to get service"
The main reason for rating as disappointing was the waiting times for service in the hotel. It was the peak Christmas / New Year week and they clearly could not cope. Regular 45 min waiting times to be seated for breakfast and to just get a sandwich from the bar in the evenings. Would expect much better from a 5 star hotel. We did raise with management […] and they did refund some of our bill but the whole purpose of going to a 5 star hotel is to get great service not a refund - so very disappointing. For that reason wouldn't recommend. It may well be an issue unique to the time of year and the hotel itself was in very good condition and service good when finally received! Over the years, we have stayed at the Disney hotels multiple times, from the Grand Flordian, to The New York Bay. This hotel stands head and shoulders above them, from every perspective. This was our second stay at the Waldorf and we will be returning. The hotel is lovely and very well maintained. The pool is great and guests with kids can use the adjoining Hilton pool that's more casual and has a lazy river.
