I emailed the hotel a month before my stay to inform them that we would arrive early in the morning and to request an early check in. They never replied and when we did arrive a room was not ready. However, to their credit, they did prepare a room very quickly. I stayed here one night because it was very close to the airport and I had a very early flight to catch the following morning. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. There was a kitchenette in case someone wanted to cook. The only drawback is the water heater did not heat up all the way and there was not enough hot water […] for a full shower. I don't know if this was just a problem with my room or if it is a similar problem for all rooms. I would still recommend it if you are looking for a room near the airport for a night. Missed flight from Rome to Nyc and was stranded at airport with parents. After early wake up & flight from Venice, we Booked this hotel. Quick cab ride from Fiumicino airport. Perfect location with nearby (walking distance) local restaurants (delicious!) The room was spotless & it was a nice cozy hotel with that mom and pop feeling. I cannot imagine where the high rating for this place came from - lots of friends and relatives no doubt. Hotels near the airport are pricy but it is worth spending some more money to avoid this place.

This was a great place--clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. It is located in an apartment building and there is no sign, just a small gold plate by the mailbox. Make sure you map it well. There was an airport shuttle for 6 Euro pp or a taxi for up to 3 was 15 Euro. Great breakfast over many hours. Would recommend.

The room was very spacious, with a huge bathroom. I was able to take a bath, which was quite a treat after traveling for 25 days and having access to showers only. The hotel was clean and easily accessible to the nearby airport. It also provided a continental breakfast.

The fact that this hotel has a kichenette is priceless. It was so pleasant to make a simple dinner after eating out for entire week. The room was so spacious. We couldn't find the shuttle to the hotel at the airport. I really recommend calling them in advance and ask for shuttle arrangements. The taxi to the hotel is 15 Euros flat. Good spot near the airport to stay for an early flight out. About a half hour drive into Rome without traffic. Near the beach in a residential area.

Nice, clean hotel where stayed on arriving in Rome, day before our cruise which left from Civitavecchia. Shuttle may not be available at the airport before 4 pm. If you take a cab to the hotel, bring a map to show the driver. Paid 15 Euros each for cab, which is high. Shuttle is only 6 Euros. To find the shuttle at the airport go out the arrivals door, […] turn right and walk all the way to the end (you will see many buses). The pole is number 28. No dinner places open around here before 7 pm. Arranged great deal to the port for only 40 Euros each. Front desk staff very helpful. What you save on room rate, you pay for in cab fares , breakfast was nice but they open it at 6:00 a/m and the shuttle arrives at 6:05 a/m for the airport, we were able to sit down a little before departure time and then had to race to get the shuttle. Restaurants open at 8:00 p/m, Pizza shop at 7:00 p/m

Had the best meal of our trip at Taverna Vecchia on the corner near the hotel. Clean, safe area. Close to hotel, has a shuttle to airport for 6 euro a person.

Hotel room was large and bed very comfortable. It was also very quiet. Close to Fiumicino (10 minutes by car - if you know where you're going!) Great place to stay after a long flight to Rome.

The hotel is advertised as being close to the airport and having a shuttle which costs 6 euros. The problem is that the shuttle only runs for limited hours, which I did not know about till I got there. At other times one has to take a taxi which was supposed to cost 15 euros for a 5 minute ride. My cab driver wanted to charge me 22 Euros and got into […] quite an argument with me when I refused to give him more than 20 Euros, which was a huge rip off anyways. All this negates the only reason to stay at this hotel. There is nothing else interesting in the area, the kitchen facilities in the room are not useful if you are only staying to catch a plane, the breakfast was nasty, with flies floating in the juice.The one good thing I would say about the place was that they were accommodating in extending my checkout time for 2 hours so I did not have to sit at the airport all day waiting for a late afternoon flight.However, next time I would pay more to stay at one of the chain hotels in the area which likely have much higher standards and better accessibility to the airport. Staff very helpful. Difficult to find. Need better directions from the port. Easy to get from hotel to airport via car or shuttle. Breakfast adequate. Was set up early to accommodate early departures.Kitchen needed additional items for anyone planning a meal. Restaurants nearby. Parking is free on the street. on hotel premises an additional 5 euros […] per night. Plenty of space on the street, however. Room was quite large with enough beds for five. At best, an adequate hotel for an overnight transit in Rome on my way to Sicily. The hotel room rate reflects the cheap price. The hotel is located in a residential area near the airport. I didn't sleep well because of the constant dog barking noise in the neighbourhood and the constant airplane noise. we had read a few mixed reviews about this place, but i have to say that it was perfect for what we needed. we had a morning flight so wanted to stay someplace close to the airport(since center of rome is 45 min away) and this was perfect. clean, quiet and convenient. only complaint i have is that they should have a free shuttle or a discounted shuttle […] to and from the airport. a cab ride for the 3 of us in our group was cheaper than their shuttle. its only 3-5 min. from airport, there is no reason to charge 6 euro a person for that short ride. but other than that, this place is ideal. The room was clean. The reception was fine. Breakfast was typical continental- met our expectations Shuttle got us to the hotel and to the airport with no problem. There is a nice restaurant within walking distance. The shower is quite small, but worked ok. Our only problem was that it was a little hard to find when we first drove there. There is no […] sign you can see from the street, and it doesn't really look like a hotel. The street is a small side street. We trusted in the address and the GPS and found the small name on the entrance. We would stay there again. If you were going to stay longer term, it is pretty well stocked with kitchen utensils etc and a full size refrig. The Hotel was perfect for our needs as we had an early flight in the morning. Restaurants were close by and the rooms were clean and comfortable. What really turned me off and I won't stay there again was because we had a very early flight in the morning they said that breakfast would not be available which was fine with us , but the fellow promised […] us coffee in the morning. When we went down in the early morning the desk clerk refused to make us coffee and didn't even care say good bye to us. Apart from it's position which is not the easiest to find, this hotel is really excellent value. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and all speak excellent English. A taxi from Fumiccino should cost no more than 15 euros but there are a number of rip-off drivers who demand 25 euros. I settled reluctantly at 20!! The best way is the airport […] shuttle at 6 euros each but this does not start to this hotel before about 4 in the afternoon from the airport. In the other direction there are many reliable morning services to Fumiccino. I would say the the flight path out of the airport goes directly over the hotel and it can be very noisy at those moments but this would not stop me recommending this place. Within three minutes walk there is an excellent Italian restaurant with brilliant pizzas but getting elsewhere rquires VERY expensive taxis so this restauarant is an excellent (and reasonable) place to eat. Great when you have an early flight out the following morning. There is a shuttle, however, it does not leave earlier than 6am or later than 9pm (check with the hotel to confirm), which is great, but note that easyjet flies just outside of those times. The hot water did run out even though the external water heater was on (controlled by a switch). Bed was comfy and the room was large (with AC). Conveniente hotel to stay overnight waiting for a flight. It provides the minimum facilities. The standard room was spacious enough, had a kitchenette and good size bathroom. This "residence" motel is very close to FCO Rome's airport. It looks like a non-descript building from the outside on an obscure street. But it was the largest room we had in Italy, complete with a kitchen. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful. During our first stay, we realized that we would be traveling to our next destination using only carry-on bags, and they held on to my ppocketknife and my wife's scissors until we came back through for no charge. When we came back through, due to a mix-up, the friends that we were supposed to meet there were […] at the "Jolie Maison" hotel in Rome. They helped us track down the hotel and gave us very good directions using public transit so that we were able to meet our friends (and get our bags). The breakfast service was also friendly and very tasty. The location is a little out of the way, but the competence of the staff and quality of the room made for a pleasant stay. Grazie! The hotel was convenient for a very early morning flight. Staff helpful, courteous and reliable. That said neighborhood is spotty and noisy at night. I wouldn't recommend walking around at night. Room was very clean as most are in Italy and it had all necessary amenities - AC, blow dryer, etc.

This place was just what we needed. Service was excellent and friendly. Walking distance to the beach was longer than anticipated, but when it's hot and sunny and there is no shade, it's a long, warm walk (about 1 1/4 miles each way). Proximity to airport makes this hotel very convenient. Shuttle ride is 6 euros. Rooms are large by european standards. Clean and up to date. Kitchenette was in both rooms I stayed in. Cold drinks; water, soda, juice, beer available for purchase at reception which was handy for my after dinner arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

However, this is a residence inn, as well as an apartment residence that rents available units in order to fill empty rooms. There is a breakfast that matches the normal hotel fare in Italy. The neighborhood is a working class neighborhood, not a tourist destination, and is clean. The average tourist might be put off by the electric driveway gates, the bars over doors and windows, the double deadbolt locks on the doors, but the cars in the neighborhood are generally new and well kept. The real secret of this place is the Black Sheep restaurant which is about two blocks from the hotel and run by a family. The fare is real family Italian, no frills, but plentiful, and cooked by the grandmother, served by the daughters, sons, and granddaughter. The meal lasted two 1/2 hours, was one of the memorable experiences of our 18 days in Italy, and well worth the fact that the hotel lies in one approach to the airport-don't worry, they stop at 11:00, so you can get a well deserved and secure sleep. We took a taxi, but don't let them charge more than the usual 50-60 euro range from the train station in Rome. Clean, comfort, but no ice or ice maching bad news on a warm night. Price was fare, breakfast a little weak but tasty, service help pleasent.

Air conditioning did not work. Almost could not exit the room next morning to catch our flight since the door handle was loose and almost fell off. In addition, my wife and I had numerous insect bites (possibly spider?) the next morning. Would never stay here again or recommend that anyone else do so.

Not easy to find on the side street with minimal signage. Is an apartment building with hotel included. Wonderful friendly staff. Residential neighborhood with easy parking and access to airport. Half hour walk to the beach.
