DeSalis Hotel Stansted

Hotel ok but transport to and from Hotel from nearby airport (2-3 km) is 9 pounds per trip. They do not mention this in the description. So it might lower cost to arrange Hotel with free pick up from Airport. While traveling for bussiness I´m used to free pick up at airport (certainly if it is not mentioned)

Everything was fine untill the morning, where the taxiservice was late, so late we almost missed our flight. But aside from that the service and food was very nice.

located in the middle of nowhere,runned by people who can barely speak english,there is no internet connection in the room,and the cellphone doesn't work at all in the whole hotel!and if you need to buy a bottle of water make sure you have the exact change because if you try to pay whit a bill of five pounds they will tell that there is no change!horrible […] and really nasty service Continua a leggere

Although the hotel is very convenient to Stansted Airport, there was no heating or hot water in the room on a very cold (-8C) night so had very little sleep. On complaining, staff member just said " o not again" - no apology was given.

This is a cheap, quiet, 2 star Stanstead Airport hotel. We found a voucher online for a small discount. The 'Reception' facility was dissapointing, but the room was surprisingly good except for a tiny old fasioned TV. Free WI-FI is provided although we didnt use it. The hotel seems to run by an indian family so most of the meals on offer were curry. […] However if you like curry, they were again, very good (and cheap). However inside the hotel, the mobile signal was almost non-existent. So overall, If I were on a tight budget, I'd certainly return. Continua a leggere

Good value for money

I found this Hotel very user friendly and comfortable. The food was very tasty and well presented by a very polite staff. I would certainly use there facilities again.

We have stayed here a number of times now, when we have had 6am flights from Stansted....great hotel, very comfortable, shuttle every half hour to Stansted airport, which is less than 5 mins drive (small charge for shuttle). Always very good service.

Ripped off. As we came into standsted airport at around 10-30pm we got a taxi to the hotel. Cost 10 pound. When we arrived at the hotel I was asked if I needed a taxi to the airport in the morning (if so, pay now 10 pound) which I did as I needed to pick up the pre-booked hire car. After waiting 1 hour after the time I requested the taxi, I notice quit […] a lot of people gathering. Yes, they piled us all in their courtesy bus. Ripped off, at 10 pound per head they collected about 120 pound. My car has a bigger TV than this room and its a flat screen. Staff could not be less helpful. This is only some of many complaints. Came to the hotel around midnight. had to wait a couple of mins before the staff could be bothered to acknowledge my presence. When they did no apology for keeping me waiting or at lest a "Good Evening". Even though i had phone ahead. the reception could not find my booking. He said that i was making the booking up and was almost going to send me away […] ! When he eventually found it there was no apology and was made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable to be there. the receptionist made me to pay for breakfast even though i had pre booked it ! Room it self was old and dated. this was a executive room. God to think was a standard room was like ! bathroom sink leaked and dirty. reception said i must of broken it when i reported it. The room was very nice, beautiful to look at with comfortable bed and big basket of tea. I would have been very happy with my stay if only the bathroom was ok. But it was not. There was no water coming from the shower nor was it possible to take a bath. There was water in faucet to wash hands but that was all. I arrived very late and was already settled […] in the room therefore I did not ask for a different room. Otherwise I was satisfied with the hotel. It looked modern and front desk was friendly. Not a bad hotel, quite easy to find and reasonably comfortable and clean. Arrived late, departed early and didn't eat anything so can't comment on service etc.

Komfortabelt hotel med venligt personale. Hurtig til at tage os ind, da vi kom efter at have kommet for sent til fly pga bilkø og spontant var nødsaget til at finde et billigt sted at sove. Luksus og moderne indrettet med de mest nødvendige ting

Lungt flygplatshotel av engelsk standard. Bra personal och bra service.

De Salis Stansted er rimelig. De henter med "shuttle" - en privatbil. De ordner OK frokost selv grytidlig. Det er under 10 kjøreminutter fra terminalen. Rommene er trange men OK.

Shuttle service, reception and room is above expectation. The breakfast is below. All in all, this hotel is recommended for it's fair standard and closeness to Stanstedt airport.

Acomodation, standard and service compared to price. You can't expert more.

Jeg blev flyttet til et andet hotel / bed and... Beskidt værelse, samt fælles torilet og bad. Prikken over i var beskidt service til morgen maden. Posivt, jeg havede en seng at sove i....

Vi benyttede hotellet for at være tæt på lufthavnen, idet vi skulle flyve tidligt næste morgen. Så vi har ikke set meget til hotellets kvaliteter, men vi var tilfredse med værelset. Vi valgte hotellet, fordi de reklamerede med 1,9 km afstand til lufthavnen! Det var dog en ubrugelig oplysning, idet man skulle køre med taxa (eller hotellets shuttle) mellem […] hotellet og lufthavnen, og det var en temmelig lang vej uden om lufthavnsområdet. Vi troede, vi kunne gå 1,9 km, men det tog da ca. 15 minutter at køre! Det er dårlig / vildledende reklame. Continua a leggere

Bel hôtel. Néanmoins il faut savoir qu'il est perdu dans la campagne et qu'il y a un service de navette particulier à l'hôtel, à payer en supplément: le prix pourrait être plus bas étant donné que si l'on ne vient pas en voiture, on est obligé de prendre cette navette ( et ce n'était pas préciser dans le descriptif). De plus le petit déjeuner qui n'est […] pas compris dans le prix de la nuit est aussi relativement élevé; choix entre petit déjeuner continental et Full English Breakfast (plus cher, âmes sensibles s'abstenir). This must truly be the best hotel i've been to when just staying for one night (flight early the next morning). We stayed in the executive room, since the price then was the same as a double room. The room was fantastic, so many pretty details and the service was great. We ordered food at the restaurant which has dinner till late, and we really enjoyed […] our meal. I was really surprised with the quality of the hotel concidering the cost of it. Cab to the airport approx.9 british pounds. Very satisfied with this hotel, highly recommended. Continua a leggere

Es un hotel estupendo, en el que además del trato excelente, tuvimos la oportunidad de cenar en el Restaurante una deliciosa cena Indú. Las habitaciones impecables y el baño genial. Somos fumadores y al comentarlo nos hubicaron en una habitación cerca de una salida trasera, para poder salir al exterior a fumar. La unica pega es cerca, cerca no hay nada […] tan solo un pub a unos quince minutillos andando, eso si muy buen ambiente. Desde el aeropuerto unos cinco min. nos costó 10libras pero el transporte del hotel nos llevó de regreso por 7 libras. Muy recomendable. Continua a leggere

Vi havde kun en overnatning på dette hotel da vi sov der for og være sæt på lufthavnen nå vi skulle hjem tidligt om morgen. God service og pæne værelser. Dog lidt problemer med rengørningen på badeværelset men vil gerne overnatte der igen.

Der var ikke varmt vand til et bad, og hotellet evnede ikke at udbedre fejlen, eller anvise anden løsning. Der blev ikke give afslag i pris eller lignende.

Hotel très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport en revanche le prix de la navette est exagéré 7 livres (A/R)

We were positively surprised aboout this hotel. Charming atmosphere and nicely decorated rooms.

Godt hotel tæt på Stansted lufthavn. Hotellet har en shuttle service til lufthavnen. Personalet er høfligt og venligt. Værelserne pæne og passer til en enkelt overnatning.
