L'albergo è nuovissimo, costruito con gusto e arredato particolarmente bene. E' posizionato benissimo rispetto alle spiagge sull'Oceano. Sul lungomare si trovano locali gradevoli sia per un breakfast sia per una cena tra amici o, perché no, qualcosa di romantico. Dai piani alti della torre 2 si gode di una vista straordinaria sulla Fort Lauderdale più […] bella: quella dei canali. La torre 1, invece, guarda direttamente l'oceano. Il servizio è impeccabile ed è davvero gradevole sedersi a prendere un caffè, la mattina, al lounge bar. Le camere sono davvero confortevoli, e se dovessi scegliere nuovamente penso che andrei in uno degli appartamenti della torre 2. Continua a leggere

The room was comfortable enough but the bath/shower had a glass wall opening into the room, so there is absolutely no bathroom privacy except for the toilet. We did like the restaurant. But overall, the place is huge, the pool area not all that attractive and it really did have the feel of a huge cruise ship, which I don't like but some people may.

To pay $15 for a plate of hummus is ridiculous. Your money gets you no where at this hotel.

Super hotel! Great staff and service. Food and drinks we very good. A bit pricey, but worth it

This place is a joke! Very nice hotel but most everyone there is very stuck up and when we got to the front desk to check in they had sold a room on hotels.com that they didn't even have available. After much disagreement they finally gave us a much better room but they were definitely not happy about doing so. They would rather you book directly through […] them so they can overcharge you. Spa services are good but they are very unorganized and there is no other way to get a drink (besides the Fiji water that they stick in your room) but to order it from room service. So after you pay for the soda, pay their gratuity & the delivery charge one drink could cost you $8. So my husband walked to the CVS that is almost a half a mile away to get some drinks to keep in our room so we wouldn't pay a small fortune for one drink. I would love to visit the Fort Lauderdale area again because it is very nice but I definitely would not stay at the W. Continua a leggere

Great Location Excellent Hotel sometimes small details are missed, but overall great place to stay. Have visited multiple time and plan to return.

Hotel staff was excellent. Only complaint was that the valet service was very slow. The hotel should have seperate valet lines for Hotel Guests and another line for those going to the restaurants and night clubs. Guest of Hotel should never have to wait this long.

Ultra modern hotel right on the beach... and a beautiful, clean beach too. The hotel was located on a strip with other hotels and eating establishments within walking distance. We enjoyed the pool tables in the W hotel "living room" and the expansive bar area and patios. The swimming pool was a visual treat. You can actually walk fully clothed right […] down into the pool and not get wet due to the unique architecture and construction. We are going on a cruise next year that leaves from Ft. Great location- right on the beach and within close walking distance of restuarants, bars and beach retail shops. Hotel is beautiful inside- great flowers, interior design, clean pool area. Has a great party scene- both in the pool area and the inside lobby (aka library). Also a small hip club on the first floor, with dancing and live music. Up to normal W standards. W Fort Lauderdale is perfect for a weekend getaway from CT. They did not disappoint EXCEPT the room service staff that left a tray outside our door for 2 days. Cleaning staff just ignored it and kept pushing it around. When ours was finally picked up, another dirty tray showed up and stayed for 2 days next door to ours. Not […] sure which Whenever/Whatever department this falls under but it's disgusting. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay w/o further complaints. I've travelled extensively and have stayed in many great hotels. This was my first time at a W property and all I can say is WOW. Beautiful hotel located right across from the beach. The staff went above and beyond in everything they did. I arrived in the early morning and wanted them to store my bags. Instead, they checked me in at 9am to an ocean-view […] room on the 14th floor and brought my bags to my room. They were polite, friendly and very helpful. I never had to lift a finger. This hotel was awesome. The rooms were nice and clean. The location was convenient to local restaurants and clubs. The service was great. The pool was the hip place to be. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed the hotel, the location, all the amenities are wonderful! The staff is FRIENDLY the SERVICE is OUTSTANDING. The pool staff are great. We just had trouble with valet parking, they lost our car for 40 minutes so they did not charge us for parking, but it was an inconvenience because we had to be somewhere.

From the moment we step into the hotel the staff did not know what more htey can do for you. Hotel is elegant and 5star all the way

The people behind the front counter were not friendly at all. Once we got to the room it was very nice, amazing view of the ocean, but there were a few mysterious hairs in the bathroom, which kind of grossed us out. Over all stay was OK but for that amount of money, the people supposed to be helping you should learn some etiquette.

I always enjoy my stay at the W. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice, the view is gorgeous and the pool is fantastic. The W is a classy hotel and there was no question where I wanted to spend my birthday with my friends and have a good time. The club area and the restaurant have great food.

Excellent hotel located across A1A from beach . Beautiful set up, great rooms . Lovely amenities . Nice gym .. Complimentary coffee in am. Restaurants and food terrific! Would definitely stay again !!!

The W is very trendy and fancy. Our room was really nice, with a balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was large, but the bathroom was a little to trendy for our style. The shower had a glass wall, which was next to the bed, so you could see the person taking a shower perfectly from the bed or the balcony. The toilet seemed to be in a […] shower stall, with frosted glass walls. You couldn't actually see in the toilet, but you could tell exactly what was going on in there. Wasn't a huge deal for my boyfriend and I, but would be very uncomfortable for people who aren't as close. Overall, the hotel was awesome and the pool is the coolest I have ever seen. In all my stay at the "W" hotel of Ft. Lauderdale was a pleasant one, I have a few great points but at the same time there were some cons which of both I will briefly outline. The service that I received in the hotel was for the most part excellent. That is not because all members of the staff were curious, my check in to the hotel was a good experience. […] The concierge desk, particularly Angie was helpful and expedited my check in. The service in the bar areas there is really one person who I have a plethora of good things to say about and that is "Dina". She was not only charismatic, courteous and creative when it came to suggesting personal concoctions that she created. She gave a great general insight to the geographic location. While all the other service members were often sometimes inattentive she always came back with a smile and a suggestion for a new type of cocktail. I have to acknowledge "Emily" also because without her I would have lost not only my room key and book, she kept my wallet from "walking" away when I accidentally left it unattended. That would have delayed me going home for my state identification and more importantly my work id which if been lost would have been more hassle then I could express. Also Kyle the bar back was always attentive and had a great suggestions about the local area. The decor of the hotel and the layout of the room were beautiful. There was some cleanliness issues mainly in the hallways. The room next door had room service plates in front of the door for half a day. Some one spilled some sort of dirt or who knows what is was on the floor by the elevator and it was also there for 10 hours. The ocean and the surrounding water way was beautiful. In all I would come back to the hotel and that is mainly for the points that I highlighted and for those reasons only, the good definitely out weighed the bad. It's everything you'd expect from a 4 star hotel plus it does it with a comtemporary flare- cool rooms great ocean view from the pool - and my favorite - and "living room" area complete with conversation fire pit! Awesome place -can't wait to go back!

Call it a busy Friday afternoon or bad luck, my wife and I checked in to the W hotel and had our bags taken up to the front desk area from valet where we were assuming like everyone else that they would end up in OUR room. After the front desk we made our way to the pool to meet friends and enjoy some remaining sun. You know where this story goes. Four […] hours of excuses, video surveillance reviews and that persistent knot in your stomach, (do I really have to buy another iPad after only 3 months), our luggage was finally found in the penthouse suite. Unfortunately we were not staying in the penthouse suite, but at least our luggage got to for a few hours. The worst part of this experience was upper management who felt it was their duty to shoulder the blame but cradle apology with brazen attitude and lack of compassion for the fact my wife and I spent 4 hours of my birthday in a hotel lobby missing my birthday dinner with friends. Had they at any point prior or after finding my luggage set me at ease I maybe would not right this review, but they didn't. The irony is that in assessing the character of the staff at the W Fort Lauderdale, it was the bellman who misplaced our luggage that maintained their professionalism and courtesy. They should be elevated to the management roles and management should start at the bottom of the ladder again to remember they are in a service job representing a brand that at it's worst shouldn't treat any guest and their possessions with such disrespect. The only positive we gained from this situation is to always stay with your bags until you reach your room, something we do every where else we go, but let our guard down once because we thought "W" stood for 'winning'...it really stands for 'whoops". We had a horrible experience at this hotel over this past weekend. It started with waiting in our room on a beautiful day for an hour and still no bags. I finally walked down to front desk to retrieve them myself after calling and getting no help. They forgot them. Then, the lighting is horrible in the rooms. I could not even see myself completely in […] the mirror. I thought the lights were out. I called to speak to someone and was put on hold for 45 minuted until finally disconnected. The second day it was 4:30 and our room was still not made up. They then left 1 towel. The pool area is not large enought for a hotel this sze and if you did not get there by 10 am, you would not have a seat that day. The service at the pool bar was horrible along with horrible food and do not dare ask for ketchup. The steak restaurant was very good, but very expensive. They did not refill our water or mini bar the entire trip and when we checked in the mini bar was half empty and then they tried to charge me for it. I tried on 2 occasions to speak to a manager but noone took my call or called me back. It was a horrible experience and certainly not worth what we paid. I would have rather paid a little more and stayed a the Ritz Carlton down the street. Continua a leggere

I've never written a review before, but felt compelled to do so in this case because I had heard so much about this hotel and have never used this brand . We were staying for a romantic weekend and I'd say we were only partially satisfied. Certainly, the hotel was stylish and the design details were top notch, but the service left quite a bit to be […] desired. While the staff was very friendly, the follow-through was often lacking. I'm not talking about an isolated incident. We had to wait for our car to be delivered by the valets -- not so much because they were too busy, but because they were disorganized. We had to wait in line to check-in -- again, not so much because they were too busy, but because they were understaffed and didn't quite have their act together. When we discovered our iPod dock didn't work, we brought it to their attention and they promised a service person would replace it right away. That never happened. When we asked for a seat at the restaurant out of the sun for breakfast, we were told "no problem" but then were led to a table in the direct sun. I could go on and on and on. Were they pleasant? Yes. Was the hotel stylish? Yes. Did they follow-through and did they have their act together? No. For a hotel in this class, I expected more. Indeed, these things wouldn't have happened at one of their competitors. I don't expect perfection, but for the prices they charge, I expect a higher standard. From the moment I arrived, the service was poor. Bad reception experience. It can't improve from having to wait 20 minutes to register because only one person is working the desk...during the early afternoon...while the front office manager is "in the back". Forget it. The hotel was amazing. The design and decorating were wonderful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dinner at Steak 954 was delicious. The rooms were incredible. Everything was top rate.

Walked into my room and stepped on nails and picture hanging hardware. Went to shower - no soap. No toothpaste to brush teeth. Ipod docking station didn't work. No apology for the nails and more than two hours for housekeeping to stock my bathroom with what their hotel calls "basic" amenities. For what you pay for a hotel like this I was underwhelmed […] with the product. Better service at The Hilton right across the street. Continua a leggere

We booked 2 rooms at this hotel for a special stay for our family, and niece arriving from out of state. Check in time was at 3pm but our rooms were not ready until 4:30 pm, --not fun when you have 4 children with you! The room service was non-existent. Beds were not turned down, and no towels were replaced for our one night stay in both rooms. Very […] surprising given the very high cost of each room. The one bright spot was the pool, but I would not necessarily suggest this for young children as the crowd is more "hip" young adult. Overall we were disappointed and will not return. Absolutely loved this hotel. From arriving the staff and service were first class. Not everyone could afford to eat in the hotel every night but that's not a problem. You simply walk out the hotel,looking directly into the sea and turn right. Whatever you want is just a few minutes walk down the front. There is also a supermarket where you can pick […] up anything you need. We had two teenagers with us who thought it was great when we took them some bags of crisps and biscuits.( not to mention the hair gel my son uses as he had ran out of and couldn't possibly step outside without doing his hair!!!) The rooms were nice and spacious and it was good to know you got free Internet connection downstairs rather than pay for it in your room. What made this good was the hotel gave you free coffee up until 11 am.so we would grab a coffee which tasted better than some I'd had to pay for and checked my e- mails on the sunny terrace,it was heaven. The other great service this hotel offered was W2go. This saved us so much hassle,we filled the forms in,handed them in then voilà our boarding cards were delivered to our rooms. When we got to the airport we went straight to a check in desk for people with boarding cards only. It was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel,it's located perfectly. Continua a leggere

we enjoyed our stay at w in fort lauderdale, the location is great. The only thing to beware of is the shower in the guest room, it is completely glass, very cool to look at but not good if you are traveling with some one that you would want to have some privacy from in the bathroom area.
