Homewood Suites by Hilton Madison West Madison

Typical wonderful stay at a Homewood Suites. We we impressed that the hotel obviously had kid/families of sports teams checked in, but the pool and hallways were not overly crowded or noisy. Good shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Well stocked breakfast with lots of variety. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic breakfast and wonderful room. The only bad thing was that the hydabed was very uncomfortable. How that room could have slept four was beyond me. Loved the stores right around the hotel and it was very quiet.

Overall a very positive stay. We had a King 1 bed suite with 4 adults. The only negative was that the bathroom is located in the bedroom, so to access the bathroom you have to go thru the bedroom. Otherwise I'd highly recommend staying at this hotel. It was very clean & all the employees were very helpful & freindly. The room was very clean.

Not satisfied -- we booked for 3 people to stay in 329 and there was only one blanket. and no sheet for the fold out couch. Breakfast was excellent. At 10:30 at night I wasn't about to call the front desk. What are they planning on doing about this?

Really it was overall great. The fridge made some noise in the night but staff responded appropriately to the complaint. The breakfast staff were really put to the test as we were clumsy and caused a spill. They were so polite and quick to the fix!

I have wanted to stay at Homewood Suites for a long time but always found the rates just a bit too high for me. I found a great deal and booked it. WOW! It is an exceptional place to stay. The breakfast was great - lots of choices. We enjoyed room service one evening it is was quick and delicious. The hot tub was nice and the outside space is great. Bed was comfortable, TV was great and loved having the DVD player in the room. Not many hotels have a ceiling fan - LOVE!!! Great lighting too. Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! The food, on the other hand, left much to be desired. Breakfast was ok but dinners were pitiful. Beef barbque consisted of a dried out flat hamburger with barbeque sauce squirted on it. Chicken for fajitas was stringy and dried out. Got to hotel well before check-in time (3 hours early) and the front desk manager got housekeeping on the task of cleaning a room for us right away. We had a studio suite, and it was perfect! The hotel is pretty new, so everything was in good shape. The thing I liked best, besides the layout of the spacious room, was that the manager knew that there […] were a bunch of Little League families in the hotel and didn't even have to ask if we wanted to be away from that noise - he just put us in a nice quiet room. That's the one thing the front desk should just know to do & we shouldn't have to ask - couples w/no kids don't want to hear the noise from those that do (constant in & out of room, screaming, loud tv, etc). This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. As soon as we entered I remarked to my business partner that the front desk clerk, Joe was there. As soon as we approached the desk, Joe stated that he remembered us from a year ago. The lobby was clean and attractive with lots of seating. Our room was spacious and decorated tastefully. There was […] a full sized fridge, micro, stove etc... I like that the shower area is seperate from the sink so that one person can be in the shower while the other can get dressed, apply makeup etc... The only negatives is that the fan seems to run all th time no matter the setting. The breakfast buffet was one of the best offering both cold and hot options daily. There was apples, oranges, bananas as well as a fruit bowl with blueberries (fresh) and watermelon. Hot oatmeal with toppings, waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, breads, danishes, yogurts, cereals, a meat and eggs. Coffee, two juices, hot cocoa. I will stay again next year. We stayed for three nights and found the hotel to be clean, the staff helpful, the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was only fair; scrambled eggs all three mornings were rubbery and tasteless, bacon one morning was too raw to eat. Stick with the waffles, cereals, breadstuffs, yogurt, etc. We'll gladly stay there again.

Amazing quality for the price. It's located in a convenient spot and the service was exceptional. My boyfriend and I went to Madison for the weekend to relax and left reluctantly. GO HERE !

I'll definitely stay here again. I've been to a few extended stay residences and found them okay, but this place was really fantastic. The pool was great, the beds were excellent and the kitchenette came in very handy. It had everything that I needed and then some. Fantastic place!

I liked the layout of room with small kitchen and dining table. Hotel was quiet even though there seemed to be many families staying. We did not use the pool or exercise equipment. Bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. Good location for our purposes.

We arrived at 2:30 and were unable to check into the room untl 3:00. I am sure they could have given us a different room that was ready. The room was large and nicely decorated. However the following day, only the bed was made and clean towels were added. The shower and bathroom sink was not cleaned. The floors were not vaccummed or the dishes in the […] sink were not taken care of. We went to the desk we were informed that on the weekends only minimal cleaning was done on the weekends. I believe this was probably the best hotel stay I have every had. The room was beautiful with a complete kitchen, sofa and generous amenities. There was even a putting green and grill out in the courtyard. Breakfast buffet was excellent, much more than the usual continental breakfast.

After a couple of disappointments at other hotels during our vacation, it was such a nice surprise to walk into a spacious, clean and beautifully decorated suite. The front desk was friendly, breakfast was above just the typical continental, and the bed was ultra comfy...all this for a great price!

I've never stayed at a Homewood Suites before, but after this stay I will specifically seek out this chain again. I was very impressed from the moment we pulled up. The building was newer and very clean. We were greeted immediately and check in was fast. I was very happy with the room. It seemed as if they thought of everything. The room was super clean, […] there were always more than enough towels and extra toilet paper (pet peeve to run out and have to ask for more), even paper towels. The kitchen had plates, and cooking utensils. Internet was free and worked flawlessly. Breakfast was awesome. There were 2 hosts during the meal who walked around the area explaining what everything was and offering refills on coffee tableside. There was quite a variety of food..yogurts, hot oatmeal with toppings, make your own waffles with strawberries, potatoes, eggs, meat, apples and bananas. I would stay here again. Check-in was the easiest I've ever experienced. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff really went the extra mile. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown, and there are restaurants quite close. Would definitely recommend.
