Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 10 mag 2012Il B&B è situato in un'eccellente posizione a 3' d'auto da Lyndurst. La camera in cui siamo stati era accogliente e pulita. La signora molto simpatica e cordiale ci ha accolto offrendoci tè e biscotti. Nelle camere c'è un kettle con l'occorrente per il tè, biscotti e bottigliette d'acqua. E' un'ottima sistemazione per compiere escursioni nel New Forest in cui decisamente torneremmo.

The room was fine and looked like it had been recently refurbished - there were lots of little extras such as iron/ironing board, hairdryer, tea,coffee and biscuits etc. However the one thing that I was unaware of and certainly wasnt made clear on the website was that toilet and shower facilities were communal. There appeared to be only one toilet for […] quite a few rooms (I'm not quite sure exactly how many) and we had to go up two flights of stairs to reach it !! There were two very small showers available on different floors - unfortunately, for this reason I would not stay there again. "Ok but three stars, not so sure."
The hotel was adequate for the shortness of our stay, but the area it was in was not nice. There was a boarded up building opposite it, with what looked like a squat next door to that. When we arrived there was a dead mouse on the zebra crossing by the B&B and the following morning there was a fresh blood soaked tissue there replacing the mouse! The […] B&B itself was ok by there was no toilet on our floor so we had to go up a flight to get to one. The toilet was beyond small and we kept banging our heads on the wall when we used it. Although we had a shower next door, because it had a concertina door the lock went upwards this was ok until the lock slipped down halfway through my already swift scorching shower. The breakfast was good except for the mushrooms and the owner was friendly if a little nosy. I spent a night here in July with my boyfriend because I ran the Race for Life taking place on Sunday. At arrival the man was very kind and helped us to park the motorbike. The room was allright but the shower was outside and was very small and the toilet was in the third floor. I expected a great breakfast as they have a "breakfast award" showing in […] the entrance. The coffee was really bad and the rest was just ok. We asked the lady to let our stuff somewhere in the BB until the end of the race but she refused saying she was too busy in the kitchen. We couldn't talk to none else and all she suggested was to pay an extra night. We had to take our bags with us the whole morning and couldn't really enjoy the rest of the afternoon in Portsmouth. Saturday 7th July 2012 was our Golden Wedding anniversary. On 16th July 1962 we moved from Maryport to Bonchurch Road, Milton, Southsea. Firstly, there is no on-site parking and the surrounding roads are residential, so struggling with bags is a problem. Secondly, some of the rooms share toilets and shower facilities - very 1990s. Really friendly staff, helped with cab, even offered to make sandwiches as I would leave too early to catch breakfast. This guest house was well maintained and very clean. We were welcomed when we arrived. The beds were really comfortable and the room was adequate for our needs as we only stayed one night. The only downside was the fact we had to share the bathroom and toilet but fortunately it was only with another couple and just down the hall. The breakfast was OK […] the price was very reasonable. It is on double yellow lines but were found a parking spot quite close opposite the park. "Very clean & comfy."
On street parking can be a bit of a faff to find but that's not the hotels fault. Our room was immaculately tended, as was the whole hotel. We only stayed over the one night but all the basics were covered perfectly. All we ever want is clean & simple and Abbey Lodge delivers. Big breakfast too!Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Lovely hotel :)"
Apart from a slight confusion with check in times, the hotel was actually really lovely and cosy. Only a 15 minute walk to the University, and a 20 minute walk to the town centre, just down the road from Albert Road & the beach!!! Really clean, friendly was a very comfortable hotel! Nice breakfast in the morning, lots of bits & pieces in the hotel […] room (hairdryer, iron, ironing board, biscuits, hot choc to name a few) Felt very welcome the whole time we were there.
