This is my first review on hotels.com, and I'm writing it because the hotel was that good. Spotless, spacious, inviting rooms and common areas, healthy and satisfying breakfast, wonderful staff, solid gym...everything was perfect. I actually left the $350 per night Canyon Villas I was staying at because the room was bland and not nearly worth the price. […] At $150 per night, the Residence Inn was the best hotel value I've experienced in years. We stayed here with family for a wedding. Hotel has no bar, no room service, etc. This is the "model" for Residence Inns, so it works for some, but wasn't super convenient for our circumstances. The room was very clean and n ice. Because we had taken our dog, I was unaware that there was a $100 charge for having a pet. I think that is an absurd amount! Our dog was in his cage and did not dirty the room in any way. The hotel needs to make it known that there is a huge charge for having a pet.

Room was very inviting and clean. The evening get together was a great break and the morning breakfast was more than adequate. We were at the end of the hall, and I do hope that I could have that room again. Very quiet and felt more at home. The room was perfect in every which way.

This hotel is located in the Mayo Clinic campus. If you are visiting the clinic, this is a great place to stay. The room I stayed in weas large will all the facilities for a few days stay.

This is a superb hotel. Room with kitchenette, large flat screen TV, and free internet. What more could you ask for at a reasonable price. The only negative was a leaky shower head, which was promptly replaced by the next morning. This is the only reason the hotel upkeep was rated a 4 instead of a 5.

I was here for 5 days to attend a review course at the near-by Desert Inn resort. Hotel staff were very friendly, room clean, rates reasonable. Shuttle worked very well. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were both very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were large and very well appointed. We had a fantastic mini kitchen with a little living room. Everything appears to be new and the pool looked great although we didn't have time to enjoy it. Breakfast was very good as well. The real reason to come to this hotel is proximity to the Mayo Clinic. All the staff are good natured and well informed. We had a few dramatic failures in service while we were there that I will share. They have two shuttle buses, one of which is for wheelchairs. My father was just leaving the clinic after an operation and going to stay at the hotel […] while recuperating. He needed the wheelechair shuttle and it was broken. Things happen like this I understand. They even tried to call us a handicaped taxi. The problem arose when they were told it would take 45 min for the taxi and nobody shared that with us. My newly out of the hospital father had to wait in 115 degree heat for 20 min. before we realized the taxi would not be coming any min. Also several times while we were there we asked for simple things like more garbage bags for our room and the requests somehow fell throught the cracks. Whenever there was something that went wrong the staff was apologetic and remedied the situation quickly. It seems as if they might be a bit understaffed. If this place wants more stars things like this have to be fixed. Overall though it was a fine experience. On positive side they were good with specially requests. Ironic huh? Continua a leggere

The staff did everything I asked and was very pleasant. We were very pleased with our five night stay and will be back as we visit family in the area. Might want to clean the carpets around the elevators, but shouldn't we all.

Great breakfast buffet included. WI-FI was non-existant in many rooms.. Had to change rooms to a lower floor to get functional access. No fun waiting 10 minutes for a page to load! and then the connectoin would break.. Ugh. If WI-Fi is important request a lower floor or be in the center of the building, not the end of the halls. I love this hotel. I have yearly visits to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. I try to stay here when ever possible. This location, for obvious reasons is the best if the rate is reasonable. Great morning buffet breakfast (get there early) and a managers bbq with hot dogs and hamburgers during the evening hours.

Great location off 101 and 51 several close grocery stores to stock kitchen and mall for total shopping and many restaurants close by....staff grounds room and pool fantastic....sister JW Marriott close by so shuttle over for happy hour and restaurants. Also great breakfast daily I think its 6am to 930am tons of goodies!!!!

The bed wasn't as comfortable as the Scottsdale Thunderbird Hotels bed. But the rooms were very nice and the location is perfect for the Mayo Hospital.

Great place to stay with children. The pool was nice and warm and the food was good for breakfast each morning. The size of the rooms was larger than expected and the location is close to major freeways. Will definitely stay again!

Marriott owns several hotels in the area of the Mayo Hospital/Clinic. Make sure you go to the right one because they are far apart. There were 3 other people at the front desk who had gone to the Mayo Clinic Marriot instead of the Mayo Hospital Marriott by mistake and had to take a LONG cab ride back. Apparently Marriott owns 50 or so properties in Phoenix, at least 3 of which are in the Mayo Clinic area. If you take the Super Shuttle be sure to let them know you're at the RESIDENCE INN Marriott or you will end up at the Marriott by the clinic and have to go back quite far. The convention hotel was sold out by the time our decision was made to attend. I needed a nearby location that would also uphold my personal high standards for on-the-road living. This is my second time staying at this hotel. it is greatly located, near 101 and 51 Highways, very close to shopping malls and it is very peacefull since there are only empty lots sorrounding the property.

I am on holiday and I was coming from a 5 star resort and going to another 5 star resort...stayed here for only one night on my travel and I am sorry it was only for one night...location was super, the hotel was clean and the room was nice and big and absolutely comfortable...next time I am in Scottsdale I will always stay here....

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. There were a lot of restaurants and shopping close by. The room slept 4 comfortably and included a kitchenette with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher and everything needed to cook a meal. The complimentary breakfast was not only pastries and coffee, but also included pancakes […] or waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, juice, and both hot and cold cereal.
