This hotel was BETTER than I expected, actually it's one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. I was in one of the "regular" hotel rooms and it was beautiful! from the back balcony it was only 8 steps to the gorgeous pool. The hotel staff was excellent! Coco Beach Resort is a great place to stay!! The room was great and the grounds were amazing! The pools are one of the best features of the resort. Everybody was extremely friendly. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Coco beach is the nicest resort on the island. The pool is amazing and the whole complex is beautiful. It is missing a restaurant which they are currently building. A beautiful and well maintained resort right on the beach. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't have a restaurant (yet, they are working on it) and that it takes a bit of time with the water taxi to San Pedro. Overall a very nice place.

Great resort, super location, very friendly staff. The only thing to be aware of is that the location is behind the reef, so there is natural sea grass in the water, and not a huge beach front. This means the location is not terribly good if you're looking for a huge beach front, but if you're looking for a pretty natural setting, with great snorkeling […] a short kayak away, then Ambergris Caye is for you! All the reviews I read were correct. Great place to take a holiday. Staff helped with Bikes, pool, extras like Ipod player for room. We had a Super time. Only challenge is the Water Taxi to town for dinner. They are building a restaurant on site so that will help and place next door is great, Mario the owner is 1st rate. Go and enjoy..

We stayed for 13 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The Good 1. The Ocean/Beach/Pool Views - breath taking, and it doesn't get much better than having a cup of coffee in the morning enjoying it. 2. We had a full kitchen condo with kitchen appliances 3. The activities - live music wed nights, and vendors 4. Wireless Internet and Satellite 5. Family […] Friendly and Quite Pool Space 6. The Hot Tub 7. The wild life out your front door: frogs, iguanas, crabs, dolphins, fish and one very annoying sounding bird that sung every morning out our window. Could be better 1. The restaurant next door at Belizean shores was nothing to write home about and it was a bit expensive for what you got. It'll be interesting to see what the food is like once the new restaurant is finished at Coco Beach (not sure if it'll be under the same management). However, other restaurants nearby (Captain Morgans) was an easy walking distance and had a great menu! 2. Drink prices at the bar - think normal US bar prices; But on the upside there was happy hour everyday 3. Taxi Service was great for getting into town; otherwise it's a bit far, 30 mins or so on a golf cart (remember you have to go there and back), and about an hour walk one way. I think Coco Beach should think about having a free water taxi to and from town, similar to other resorts on the island. If you're looking to take your family this is a great place and kid friendly! We had a great time at this hotel. It is modern and very clean. The Manager was really nice and the whole staff there was very friendly. As a matter of fact my husband made friends with some of the staff members. What a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed in a 2 bedroom/1 bath unit which was in impeccable condition. We were on the 3rd floor which offered a spectacular view of the resort as well as a view of the ocean. Lots of R&R and TLC to be had at this resort! Highly recommend the Casita's. Staff was awesome and always attentive.

My sister, son and I spent 4 nights at the CocoBeach Resort. It was amazing! The service was incredible. The pool is the best we've ever experienced. The grounds were so well kept. I can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful, clean, new hotel with the friendliest staff. The only downfall is it is a few miles out of San Pedro, and there are not good food options. The places to eat near the hotel were below average, and going back and forth to San Pedro was a pain because the water taxis are not always available. Coco Beach is a beautiful resort. Very well maintained. The staff is great very helpful and friendly!!! The bartenders were great very funny and entertaining!! The hotel still lacks a restaraunt however, food is easily delivered by neighboring resorts. Its also nice to go walk to places near by and take the water taxi to places in town. Coco Beach was a well maintained resort with several swimming pools with a luxury feel. If you are looking for pools, air conditioning, snorkeling and diving and don't care much for getting a feel for Belize, this is your place. However, if you want to get to know the country a little bit, limit your stay to a few days, then head to Placencia in the […] south for a completely different beach experience, and then inland to Mayan ruins, forests and cave hiking. While my husband and I enjoyed our stay at Coco Beach, we are not the lying down on a chaise by the pool types and were glad we only had 2 days here. Continua a leggere

The resort is beautiful and the people went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a lot of rest and relaxation.

The hotel is beautiful - inside and out. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. We had an issue with our first room (7B) that didn't have blinds on the glass entrance door or any of the windows which I thought was very odd and gave us zero privacy. The hotel staff responded quickly though and moved us to a different room with blinds. There are two pools. […] Our 9 year old loved the one with the big rock and waterslide. The only downside is that the hotel is 3.5 miles away from town and the Tuff-e-nuff water taxi doesn't run often enough. If you want to grab dinner or breakfast in town you either have to hurry up to catch the return water taxi that leaves 75 minutes later or stretch it out real long and wait for 3 hours. Of course there's the Coastal Express water taxi but that costs $8/person one way which makes for an expensive meal. However, this problem applies to all the hotels on the island if you don't stay directly in town. Overall, we had a great stay and are very grateful to the wonderful staff, especially Lorena and Janine, who helped us out a lot. Thanks so much guys! Continua a leggere

The Hotel screams "I want to pamper you in luxury". This place is paradise with the only fault that it is not easily accessible. From the International airport one needs to take a short flight to San Pedro and then a short boat ride to the hotel. I do NOT recomend the boat ride to San Predro, crowded and unconfortable. The resort was a fantastic place to unwind from a vacation of jungle adventures. The ammenities were better than expected, drinks were reasonably priced, and the pools were amazing. The onsite tour company was perfect and no hassle. It was great to ride bikes into San Pedro for a day trip. And there is still more of the resort to come!

was not aware that although it was 3.5 miles from san pedro, the only way to get there was via a water taxi or long cab ride down a dirt road, which seemed to take forever. once we got over this initial shock, we quickly realized we selected the best hotel on the island. many locals agreed that it was the nicest and newest. would definitely stay here […] again! not to mention we ended up staying in a 2 bedroom condo! staff was very friendly and helpful. From arrival to departure, everthing was prepared. Hotel villa was beautiful with all accomodations. Pools were very nice. everthing was very clean and practically new. Beaches were beautiful but too much seaweeds. You must take a puddle hopper flight from Belize to San Pedro which must be calculated for overall costs.

Coco Beach resort is quite simply beautiful. The rooms are spectacular, the beds are comfortable, the pool is bar none, and the amenities are fantastic. We were lucky enough to be there when the resort was relatively empty (the checkin clerk said they were at about 10-20% capacity). I'm not sure if we rented a condo or if they upgraded us to one, but […] we had a one bedroom condo with a full kitchen. The kitchen and bathrooms sported granite counters and mahogany cabinets. There was a dining area and living area, plus a separate bedroom, with porches off both the front of the unit and the bedroom. Our unit overlooked the pool, which was amazing. The pool was surrounded by sand; the walkways around the whole resort were sand as well. I only ever wore shoes when we went into town (note: I'm southern so YMMV on the shoes thing). The pool had a beautiful bar in the middle, which you could either walk or swim up to get a drink, but we never bothered, opting instead to make our own drinks in the blender that was provided in our unit using $3 bottles of rum that we had brought over from the mainland. One day, we strolled over to the Belizian Shores resort next door (same owner) and checked out one of their kayaks and paddled out to the reef and back, then paddled around near the shore. The only downside of this resort was that their restaurant isn't complete, and the one at the sister resort next door was sub-par. However, they were offering water taxi passes for $20 for a 5-day pass, so we took most of our meals in town after the first night. I highly recommend this resort. It's great for families due to the awesome pool and large condo units, great for couples, and would be a great place for older folks to take their kids and kids' kids for a family vacation (which I will recommend to my parents the next time I talk to them). This new resort is beautiful and very relaxing. The grounds are impecable. My husband and I stayed in a villa with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony overlooking the pool. The room had fine woodwork, gorgeous tile in the bathroom, and original art on the walls. The staff is very friendly, especially the bartenders. If you are interested in finding […] the local night life, the bartenders are a great resource. You will have to walk out on a pier in front of the resort and catch a water taxi to get anywhere. We bought groceries in town and brought them back on the water taxi. The hotel is next to a dive/tour company. We went diving with Belize's first dive instructor, Billy, who is "mellow like jello." We visited the first week in February 2011, and we had no trouble booking tours the day before. Be sure to spend some time doing nothing in a hammock. The staff will bring drinks to you if you are in a hammock or out by the pool. The pool has a terrifying water slide that I could not resist going down a couple of times. Also, the hotel has a small shop off the lobby area that sells bug spray and suntan lotion. Continua a leggere

This is one of the best hotels in San Pedro. I was in awe the whole time I was there. We are definitely staying there again on our future visits. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

We arrived at Coco Beach Resort on a beautiful sunny day. Our accommodations were lovely with all the upgraded features advertised. We had a view of the pool, as well as, a view of the sea. The pool was beautiful although a little cold since the weather was unseasonable cold. The golf carts were always available when we needed them, but I think we would […] rent a cart in town to have more flexibility at a lower cost. The grounds were very well kept with employees grooming them all day. The employees were friendly and helpful. We ate at Captain Morgan's several times and enjoyed it. Capricorn was lovely but expensive. The Wild Mango required reservations and had good but not excellent food. We ate at the Lazy Croc. which is only open on weekends. The pulled pork was fabulous. Try to make it for a meal. Several shortcomings with the accommodations: a.) small bathroom - I couldn't put my makeup on unitl my husband was out of the shower as there was no space for both of us. b.) only one mirror in the unit - in the bathroom which made the above problem bigger. c.) housekeeping was unpredictible as to what time they came - most days after 3 pm just about the time we came in from the pool and wanted to shower and change for our evening outing. d.) the balcony needs at least one chaise lounge to make the best use of the space e.) no restaurant on the property - room service or pool service from Belizean Shores fairly fast but missed going into a poolside restaurant for a quick snack. Coco Beach Resort is beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. The landscaping is Four Seasons type caliber for a much better price. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The resort is very new and in pristine shape. This is a place where families and couples can peacefully coexist because of the two different pools. The pools are wonderful and the relaxation […] factor is off the charts! The bartenders at the central pool/swim up bar make the hotel truly great. They are very friendly and make awesome drinks. The resort definitely needs to get the restaurant finished and should add a workout facility and in-resort spa to be top notch. Also, the tennis court and basketball court at the sister property next door is run down and needs better equipment. The concierge was friendly but a little clueless. The bartenders are your best point of reference. Be aware that because the resort is 3 miles north of town, you can ONLY get there by water taxi at night and should bring your own life jackets if you have really small children. If you plan to go to town alot, this may not be the place for you. We misread the schedule and missed the last public water taxi home one night and had to hire a private taxi for alot more money. Finally, buy your groceries right when you get into town from your flight before you take the water taxi to the resort. The local store at Captain Morgan's is extremely limited. The food next door at Captain Morgan's and just north at Rendezvous is awesome. We would definitely recommend Coca Beach Resort to friends and family. Continua a leggere

Beautiful location, outstanding customer service, everything you could wish for except a restaurant (under construction). I would go back again and again!

The hotel is wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet, relatxing vacation this is the place. The staff is very attentive and polite. The beds are comfy and the hotel/room is very modern and clean. We had such a nice getaway at CocoBeach resort. It was comfortable and clean and beautifully appointed. We spent almost all our time in the amazing pools which has been widely regarded as the best pool in Ambergris Caye. I think we were one of the first people who stayed in the hotel area of the resort and we could tell that the finishing touches hadn't […] really been done (ie. no hangers in the closets, curtain rings in Pottery Barn bags in the drawers, hooks not totally screwed in, etc.) but all in all we loved it and wished we had at least another two days there! The service was wonderful, they made sure there was personalize transport for us to the airport on the day of our departure by water taxi. That was really helpful. There is no restaurant on-site but if you walk a few resorts south on the beach, you can have an amazing meal at Capricorn. Not only was the service amazing ( they met us at the dock and arranged all transfers) but the condo was outstanding. It was simply beautiful. This place is amazing! We have traveled the world and this is one of the most memorable places that we have ever been!

We read the reviews about Coco Beach before we stayed there and were happy with our choice. The resort is still a work in progress with construction going on behind the main rooms, but they were very respectful with the construction so it wasn't an issue. There is no restaurant on site (will be done in November) but the restaurant next door is really […] close and the bar has a reasonably full menu (food is sent over from the restaurant next door). You have full access to the sister hotel next door for their pool but Coco Beach's pool is really nice and is the largest we saw on the island. The swim up bar is great, but the service is incredibly slow unless you get the female bartender who rocks -- the guys were incredibly slow even when you were the only person at the bar. The hotel does not have its own dock yet but the sister hotel does and it is close by. We went on several trips with the tour shop at the dock -- the BBQ was fantastic with Elias as the guide but we had a trip to Hol Chan and Shark Ray alley that was not so great because the guide was in a major hurry even though we were the only people on the tour. Service at the hotel was slow. There were six of us in a 2 bedroom suite and they seemed to have a problem keeping our toilet paper stocked and the office kept running out of coffee and creamer. Overall though the annoyances were minor and we loved our stay. The food at the restaurant was wonderful even if service was Belizean. The view from the rooms was great, the quality and condition of the rooms was incredible, and we really enjoyed our stay. Continua a leggere
