Mana Island Resort & Spa Mana

Mana Resort has 3 different beaches (bonus) and comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed aspects of both north and south beaches, including snorkeling, but the absolute best was 3 days of snorkeling trips with AquaTrek. This group is laid-back but professional, and our guide was wonderful. They have *daily* 1:30 pm trips (you can check same-day in the […] morning) and go to different places by short boat ride. Each different place was very special. Their equipment is good. They have family rates. The resort is great in general. Some things could use a new coat of paint, but the basics are all fine and rooms very clean. It did not seem crowded. Kids of many ages seemed to really enjoy the programs, and some of the staff were just outstanding with the evening entertainment. Food at South beach restaurant was excellent and especially enjoyed outdoor seating. You need to use the mosquito repellent (provided in all rooms)- that's the same everywhere in the tropics. The location was amazing, staff was great, and it is child friendly, but they could do a lot of improvement with the buffet food, they need a good chef to come in and teach them how to cook properly. It would be convenient if sodas and water be included in the meal package too. The rooms need TLC badly and better beds. Overall the hotel needs some money […] invested in maintenance and landscaping. Facilities need work everywhere, public toilets were not as clean as they could be. They could do a better job at clearing the beach of seaweed. we stayed here for 10 days with 3 children aged 2, 4 & 6yrs. its a family resort with lots of groups with children. i would say its a 3 star. everything was adequate, the staff were okay, the meals were okay, the facilities were okay. on the whole its alright. the most redeeming feature of the resort is the huge ocean front suites, they were the deciding […] factor for us in going there with a family of 5. they are big, lots of room to spread out in air conditioned comfort. they do have a few maintenance issues, some of the tiling and grouting look like it could have been done by a child, but there are TWO bathrooms, which was great. they are very close to the south beach with all the kayaks, snorkeling etc. we only went here though because we got a fabulous rate for them on hotels.com otherwise it would have been very pricey for what it is. we got the meal plan which saved a bit of money, but it was death by buffet by day 10. the al a carte restaurant was good, nice pizza for the kids and the dinner we had there were good for a change from buffet. couldn't rate the kids club, it wasn't that good, very poorly resourced and they played a lot of scrabble and card games? bit odd. our kids didn't want to go after the first time, they weren't very well supervised the times that i walked past and saw kids just scooting around with no one watching them. went to the spa twice - pedicure and then manicure - it was nice. overall, it was a nice holiday, but in retrospect i think we would go for less time probably at a nicer resort like Castaway. 3 stars. Beautiful island resort in the crystal clear blue waters of Fiji's outer islands. Bure (cottage) located about 30 yards from beach with slightly obstructed view from the bure deck of the water. No cooking facilities in bure although there was a dorm sized refrigerator. Meals while on the island are incredibly expensive as your only, ONLY options are […] for the resort's buffet or their ala carte restuarant. Buffets are $33 to $38 FJD each meal and the ala carte restuarant prices are even higher. Food quality was sub-par at the buffet as many items were not kept hot on the buffet line. All that said, the resort staff are very hospitable, well organized, and responsive to guests' needs. I wouldn't recommend you plan on staying on Mana Island for more than a couple or 3 days as there really isn't anything to do except hit the waters or purchase a boat cruise/tour to see the neighboring islands. It's very disappointing that a 4 star resort serves contaminated water! I was sick for 3 days! This incident could have been avoided. The food was ordinary and not fresh and everything over priced! Overall It was not a good stay. We had a better stay on the Coral Coast, nicer room, less commercial, less crowded, nicer food and cheaper. !!

It is a very picturesque island indeed and the range of activities provided outstanding. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our first room had mildew and was a little musty but the more expensive room excellent. The biggest let down was the fact that they serve local water at the Southbeach restaurant! They don't bother to tell you that it will make […] you sick with diarrhea and vomiting and stomach pain for 2-3 days! For a 4 star resort this is utterly appalling and we discovered from other travellers that they got sick in the same way. I can only imagine what it would be like for families all being sick at the same time. We were only statying for 4 days and half our stay was ruined by illness. This MUST change. The food lacked freshness and was very ordinary and way over priced. There are only 2 places to eat so you are stuck being ripped off! We heard the back packers on the other side had far better food for less than half the price. I wish we had eaten there. If we had stayed on the resort longer I would have been disappointed but going to The Coral Coast and staying at a cheaper resort that had better rooms, food and was less crowded and comercial thankfully saved the holiday! This is a excellent property . The people are very friendly and polite . The housekeeping was good for seaside resort. Spa is very good, tennis courts very poor, food was good nothing special. Really need a dress code for the South Beach restaurant to many people in tank tops which is wrong just a collar shirt at night for men easy. Great little island with plenty to do. Tennis, Swimming (sea - the pools aren't of suitable shapes for lengths). Kayaking, Katamaran, walks, Jetski (at cost) etc. Nice buffet food. A La Carte wasn't great quality. Little bit more expensive (drinks, food, buffet) than other islands (E.G Plantation) but better quality and nicer place to stay AND LESS […] BUSY! We just returned from Mana and were very sad to leave. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful and nothing was to much for them. We rad many reviews before going and we must say to all of those that had nothing positive to say about Mana that you need to look at your self. this is an Island after all and if you wanted to be pampered then you […] should have may be gone to the Ritz. We really enjoyed Mana, esp compared to the Coral Coast and Pacific Harbour. The staff was friendly. Loved Eunice, our weaving instructor! The buffets offered a variety of food and it was a decent quality. We preferred this over the ala carte restaurant because of the options available. We did like going to theresort next door for happy hour and lunch […] though. Better value. We loved our island bure. it was spacious, comfortable, and the outdoor shower was awesome. It is well worth taking the snorkel trip to see colorful fish and some coral. Housekeeping could have been quicker, as we were inconvenienced several times. We had the most amazing time on Mana. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The dive shop, I cannot fault. Beaches and natural surrounds such as look out points beautiful. Island large enough for walks outside the resort. Snorkelling good. Many tropical fish and live corals but the latter in muted colours. If you are looking for vibrant colours you will need to go elsewhere in Fiji. Clean and comfortable room. Some mosquitos though around our bure. Friendly […] staff. Resort facilities met expectation of 3.5 star. The decking connecting the outdoor restaurant area with the two pools and bar will definitely need replacement within the next 5 years or so. Gardens/ground were well-kept and relaxing at the same time. Kids club great. Our kids’ names were remembered right from the start. Boat bure: kayaks and catamarans are free to use. Catamarans can be only taken out for max 30 minutes which was slightly too short. Windsurfers were only on display apparently as they had at least six sitting there but we could take a single out as they were waiting for spare parts. For all six of them I ask myself… Food: only tried buffet restaurant meals. They were good but not good value and lacked variety. If we go back to Mana we will bring some food ourselves and only book morning/evening buffets. Maybe even leave breakfast out. Continua a leggere

The Resort on Mana Island was heaven on earth. I would go back in an instant, everyone was so happy, helpful and pleasant.

We went to Mana Resort on 26/12/2010 for 7 days. We went there mainly because the beaches looked great on the pictures, and I love pristine waters. Honestly, the beaches were quite dissapointing. There was a lot of sea grass on the shore, so that was a great minus for us. Also, it is a very large resort, so plenty of people and families with children, […] so that takes away from complete relaxation, if that is what you are looking for. The food is very expensive, thank goodness there was a backpackers motel with decent food at decent prices, so we ate there all the time. I wouldn't go there a second time. Continua a leggere

We have just come back from 2 weeks in Fiji. 1 week in on Mainland and 1 week on Mana Island. Don't bother with the Mainland just do the Islands they are beautiful - except Plantation Island very Ugly. We first stayed in teh Ocena View Room _ Hotel Style - they are in desperate need of upgrade. The Island Bures , the most basic accommodation on the […] Island is perfect. Cheap, clean and comfortable with a very cute out door shower. Snorkeling on either side of the Island is great. Lots of fish and the coral is starting to come back. The staff are very helpful and very nice. Kids club excellent my 6 year old son loved it. Food is okay better then what I expected, but in saying that we found the backpackers right next door was really good. Well priced and food better then resort. Check it out when you are there, fun place to be aswell. Over all Mana Island was fantastic, relaxinf and some amazing sunsets, and, very beautful fish in the water around the Island. When at the backpackers next door look out for Moses we had some plain T Shirts of my sons with us and for $10 Fiji dollars he will paint on them for you. Very good and look great. Lovely location, friendly staff, but let down slightly by the accommodation, the ocean view rooms were not good. You could hear all the noise of your neighbours, but worse still the incredibly loud air conditioners situated outside the door of your room. Other rooms were reportedly better. We enjoyed our stay at Mana Island Resort, the staff are very friendly and the location is fantastic, good snorkling, shame about the reef though which alot of people stand upon. The accommodation was adequate, we paid extra to stay in an Oceanfront bure which I had read was very good, location was nice but inside very much in need of rennovation, mould […] on the chairs & generally old & drab. I understand the island bure's have been recently rennovated so probably better choice for your money. Meals ok not outstanding but plenty of food and to be expected you are on an island. Enjoyed the entertainment, Crab racing was hilarious, & the Meke dancing & singing was fantastic, I ? the suprise activities - pretty lame. All in I would recommend Mana if you wanted an island experience not too far to transfer from the mainland & happy with basic food & accommodation, you don't get 5* for 3* price. The fijians are very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Fantastic for kids with the kids club and so many family friendly activities. The Survivior set was a highlight and the coral reef and fantastic array of fish kept us in the water for ages. The wedding chapel is beyond beautiful and the bride stunning. A 5 star holiday! The Island is very nice end the resort overall was nice. We however got no sleep as they put a woman with an infant and a toddler in the adjoining bure. I noticed that another family with small children was put in a bure that was adjoined to a couple. They were at the end of the beach. Why wouldn't a resort make an effort to place families in one adjoining […] bure and couples in another? Having an infant cry and a toddler throw fits and run around the room, which have wood floors that amplify sound, completely ruined our vacation. Continua a leggere

酒店位置不错，酒店设施也不错，酒店服务也不错。就是吃饭上网较为贵了点，WIFI上网收费贵，信号也不佳。建议要去的人多带现金，最后结账时如刷卡会收取15%+5%共计20%的额外费用，所以一定多带现金（美元，人民币不认的），并且在机场换成斐济币。

景色很美丽,服务不错 就是美元汇率太差. 食物一般般

年末年始に利用しました。とても快適に、気楽に、ゆっくりと過ごすことができました。日本人スタッフのみならず、現地のスタッフも「日本の気配り+現地の笑顔」が自然に出ていてくつろげました。格式高いサービスを求めるなら、他に、より高いお金を出せばより満足できるホテルがあると思いますが、私の家ではここのサービスが気を使わずに心地よかったです。

Большой плюс отеля-это красивый остров с замечательными пляжами и природой, понравилось, что есть где погулять, но после захода солнца скучновато. Питание понравилось, еда вкусная и разнообразная. Номер с видом на океан в двухэтажном корпусе( мы жили в нем первые две ночи) тесный и шумный, больше понравились виллы с видом на океан на два номера (жили […] оставшиеся семь ночей), они значительно больше и комфортнее. Минус отеля-это шумный персонал, особенно горничные, убирающие номера.Второй минус-это дорога от аэропорта до острова, нам не повезло дважды: по дороге туда мы взяли обычный катер ( в агенстве в аэропорту), так как не успели на круизный, и чуть не проболтались в океане всю ночь из-за внезапно начавшегося ливня, а на обратном пути возникли технические проблемы уже с круизным катером, и мы чудом успели на самолет в Сидней. В целом понравилось, но учитывая длинную дорогу из Москвы и прочие недостатки, второй раз мы сюда вряд ли поедем. Continua a leggere

在HOTEL上定的是ocean view，check in大吃一惊，哪里是酒店啊，也就农村招待所的水平！邻居冲马桶的声音都听得一清二楚，隔断就是木板，床单脏兮兮的、马桶盖子是坏得！旁边就是露天动吧，好吵啊！第二天，坚决换房间！随后几天分别住了OCEAN FRONT,BEACH SUIT,GARDEN VIEW把岛上全部房型都住过了，呵呵。总体感觉：除了OCEAN VIEW其余房型都挺好的，挨个说吧1gardenview 性价比高，在岛的中间，便宜，两个单位是一幢，但房间很小，放了一张双人床周围的空间也就很小了，不过岛上风光很好，在房间里也就睡个觉，空间大小无所谓。2、ocean front在北沙滩的东面，应该是新盖的独栋全木结构小房子，装修很新，空调电扇都有，房间很好，如果觉得蜜月套房太贵的 […] 话，这也是个非常好的选择，差不多有garden的两个大，沙滩很好，而且很安静，屋里有个超大双人床和一个单人床，即使三口之家住起来足富裕。3、beachsuit是2层的联排别墅，出门就是水质及沙滩极好的南沙滩，两张大双人床，双卫，还有音箱，如果是四五个好友一起出游，绝对住这种，价格是oceanview的2倍，但比起住2间那个可要舒服太多了。岛上还有蜜月套房，在南沙滩西面单独的一个区域，外人是不允许进入的，安静，景色绝佳，就是太偏僻了，出门需要使用酒店配备的电瓶车 Continua a leggere

Отель расположен в 1,5 часах езды на катере от главного острова Вити-Леву. Билеты на катер, идущий из порта Денарау (30 минут от Нади, где расположен международный аэропорт) мы купили по прилету в турагентстве прямо в аэропорту (416 ф. долл. на двоих туда и обратно, включая доставку от отеля до порта и обратно). Доплыв по живописному Тихому океану до […] острова Мана, мы увидели встречающих сотрудников отеля, которые с песнями и плясками весело нас встречали (приехала на остров достаточно большая группа туристов). Жили мы в бунгало, которые там называются бюре. Домик в фиджийском стиле, внутри очень комфортный, есть все необходимое, кроме телевизора. Ванная комната поделена на две зоны - часть туалет и раковина (все современное), а за стеклянной дверью в огороженном садике душ, с гибким шлангом, удобный. Уборка в номере нормальная, единственный недостаток - постельное белье и полотенца какого-то серого цвета, очень непряитно. Пляжные полотенца находятся в номере, их по мере необходимости меняет горничная, что тоже неудобно - надо ждать. Поэтому мы чаще всего вечером сдавали их на ресепшн и нам приносили сразу новые. Питание в отеле обычное, европейское. Все дорого, завтрак и обед 30-33 ф.долл. на чел., а ужин 63 ф.долл. на чел. не включая напитки, хотя чай и кофе бесплатно. 1 долл. США=1,7 ф.долл. На острове несколько пляжей, купаться удобней всего на Южном, даже в отлив там глубоко и комфортно. Прямо у берега много кораллов, плавать с маской одно удовольствие. Рядом комнаты для переодевания с душем. На Северном пляже более сильные отливы и мелко, но там обитают прекрасные ярко-синие морские звезды. На острове длинные протяженные пляжи, по которым можно гулять. Также интересно подняться по пешеходным маршрутам на небольшие горы, где есть скамеечки для наблюдения за закатом. Виды на Тихий океан и остров потрясающие. Вечером в отеле проходят развлекательные программы, самое интересное - Меке-шоу, фиджийские песни и танцы.
