Offre più di quel che credevo, anche se il parcheggio e la navetta per l'aeroporto sono i punti deboli. Ma se si è a piedi è perfetto. Alla reception Anisa è molto helpful e in generale sono molto disponibili

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 9 gen 2013Sito nella zona di LaJolla,che andrebbe visitata,questo Hotel dispone di camere grandi e ben pulite.Nel complesso non potrei lamentarmi se non della rumorosita delle camera che con finestre oramai datate (dispongono di un solo vetro) mi hanno privato di un sonno tranquillo(la finestra dava sul parcheggio).Concludendo,non mi sentirei affatto di sconsigliare questo Hotel.Probabilmente ci tornerei.

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 6 nov 2012Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, tipico inn americano, stanza pulita, personale cordiale e sempre presente. Posizione ottimale se si ha un'auto. Un grazie speciale a Zania, Diego e Lorena. E' stato davvero un bel soggiorno per tutta la mia famiglia, compresa la mia piccola di 2 anni che non voleva andare via. E' ottimo per famiglie.

"The best part is the location."

"Very funky"
Loved my room. Got the lowest cost king bed room and it was great. Fitness room was cramped and seemed like an afterthought rather than a well planned amenity as it should. You need a key card to use elevator. As a courtesy the front desk should let me know that rather than a less then obvious sign at elevators. "Nice place near gaslamp"
We checked in late the first night and missed the complementary wine tasting so they gave a voucher for the bar which was nice. The room was not cleanest...socks and paperwork left by the previous guests were in corners and behind furniture. For the price of this place I would expect the place to be spotless. We also did not get hand soap our initial […] night but were on a tight schedule so we failed to remember to complain. It showed up the second night, but still seems like the Palomar has an issue with there maid staff. There was also food left outside of our next door room for probably 30 hours. There was also street construction during our early April 2013 right in front of the hotel. Noise from this was not a big issue however. The valet handled it well despite the minimal space they had to work with. The Palomar is in a good location... easy access to the highway, and walking distance to night time destinations (rooftop bars, wine bars, food, etc). I was not aware but the street outside the hotel was under construction (not the hotel's fault) but it was very loud and made it very challenging to get a taxi. "Left happy once again"
Johnson, Astrid, Michael and the entire team one again made our stay easy and enjoyable. Even in the midst of some challenges with nearby construction, they treated us like guests in their home. "The perfect stay!"
This was our first stay at a Kimpton hotel, but it will certainly not be our last! Everything about this hotel was perfect. Anything you could possibly want is walking distance, probably less than two blocks away. The staff is cool, friendly, and helpful. The room we booked (king suite) was amazing. Having two bathrooms is nice, even for just two people, […] and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it. The big surprise was the HUGE balcony overlooking the pool and the city. We ate a few take-out meals on that balcony, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. When we booked there was a reduced rate for the amount of time we were spending there, so it was a bargain, too. Street noise could be an issue to some, but we embraced it as part of the city experience and quickly got used to it. The hotel will supply you with ear plugs upon request. Palomar is in a great location, however the hotel is a bit dated. The bathroom doors are sliding glass and don't even cover the entire door; no privacy what so ever. The refridgerator in our room didn't work either. I expressed that to the front desk at checkout and he noted it but we received no discount. I was in town for a conference, I thought the hotel was great , good location in the Gaslamp district. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Staff were fantastic. I thought the restaurant was way over priced considering there was quite a lot of fantastic places to eat around the area. There was loud construction going on around the area but that […] is unavoidable. I was able to get it for $135.00 a night through Expedia and was quickly upgraded to a premier room when i got there.Overall a very great place to stay . Will stay again. "Leopard print robes? How can you say no?!"
Everything about the Palomar San Diego was exceptional. The staff was friendly and personable. The rooms were amazing (comfiest beds!!) and I can't stop raving about the animal print robes in the room. I read a few reviews from past guests complaining about the showers. Yeah, there's no curtain or door on the shower but there's a sliding door on the […] bathroom and it works just fine. I stayed with my best friend so this wasn't really a concern for me. I'm from a major city so the occasional crazy homeless person on the block doesn't phase me. REMEMBER: you're in a city, you're not in the 'burbs! The hotel is walking to distance to so many great restaurants and bars. We walked to Little Italy (15 min, 1 mi walk) and Hillcrest (20 min, 1.3 mi walk). There's also a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel, Saltbox. The bartenders were amazing and the food was exceptional. This is where I'm staying the next time I'm in San Diego! "Great Customer Service, Great Ambience"
There were a couple mishaps here and there, but they managed to make it up in every single way. We were given a credit when we did not get the room we asked for, and 4 complimentary drinks. We loved the wine at happy hour, and coffee in the lobby in the morning. Parking is expensive, and about 3 blocks away we were able to park for $30 for the whole […] weekend (compared to $38 per night). "Good location, bad service"
Best thing about this hotel is its location, it is very close to Gaslamp quarter. Other than that, I am disappointed by the quality of service and how bad the rooms are maintained. First of all, nothing ruins a romantic getaway more than ending up in a double bed room even if asked for a single king size bed. As soon as I entered the room, I called […] the front desk but they said they were out of king size beds for that night. This shouldn't be acceptable for a hotel at this price range. Second, the reservoir in our room was constantly making a lot of noise. "Poor choice in San Diego"
Booked a room for Valentines Day 2 weeks in advance. Upon arrival they attempted to downgrade my room and the room I did get was poorly cleaned. "Love Kimpton hotels!"
My visit was awesome! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Dogs are always welcomed here and there is no additional charge. There is a free wine hour daily which is nice, also a complementary newspaper and coffee/tea in the lobby in the mornings. Rooms are supper nice and comfy, although some are a bit small. "Perfect Location, Fantatsic Staff"
Fantatsic! Service was very good and the front desk staff were outstanding. Bar is nice and relaxing for a drink and the free wine hour is a nice touch. We didnt eat here although food looked good, too much choice is the vicinity! The decor is modern and tasteful. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room, but I understand it is "greener" to have it brewed in bulk. I didn't know though that coffee was available in the lobby until I went down there. I was a bit surprised about how many homeless people were in the area.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Great choice in downtown SD, with a few caveats"
Nicely appointed rooms and common areas. The staff is very welcoming - I particularly appreciated the watchful presence of the doormen and bell staff, because the downtown area is a bit sketchy at night. "Pets Allowed!"
Going to this hotel was a very pleasing experience. I fully took advantage of their happy hour, coffee/tea in the morning, along with the free fitness area, (even though it was a little small, 2 bikes, 4 treadmills, 2 elliptical). Their front desk, concierge and bell hops were VERY helpful in recommending places to go, whether it is someplace to eat, […] drink or just hang out. The pool is small, but great if you just want to lounge. Please note, they do allow pets. If I ever go back to San Diego, I would definitely stay there again! "Nice ~ Hidden Auto Park Fee"
Overall nice. I have stayed here a couple times. Nice overall. I like Kimpton Hotels. You pay twenty-five each and every night to park/valet your car. I got hit for between to two to three hundred for blood on the sheets... a tad extreme. (I have stayed all over the world in the finest hotels and NEVER been charged for this before.
