"easy access"
The lobby kind of smelled funny and the access to the room was weird in that you had to leave the main part of the motel and access through side door. Room was okay. For a few dollars more I could have stayed in nicer accommodations.

"Cheap or Inexpensive, I'm not sure."
It is a new hotel, apparently built with 1990 standards in mind. Wireless router was down. No ethernet. Old tube television with improperly attached cables (fuzzy screen). Properly cleaned and neither uncomfortable nor particularly comfortable. It worked in a pinch.

"Great location"
stayed there for a night for job interview, it was convenient to the scott area i was interviewing in and yet still close enough to the city that you could get to whatever in a matter of minutes. the room was clean but had a few small minor flaws (ie: broken latch-lock on door, hardest pillows ever) it was clean and the staff was pleasant, i would stay […] there again. "room for the night"
We booked because of the price. Didn't really use any of the amenities, except internet, so I can't judge any of those, but the room was clean and comfortable. we would stay there again.
Very Nice!
I stay in hotels day on and day out... I'm easy to please. I ask for nothing... This place was impossible!! The hallway smelled of weed smoke. My room was average I guess although it lacked an alarm clock. the hotel staff walkin on me twice with the do not disturb sign on the door. yes not once... twice. Management seem to think this was funny making […] lude remarks about the incident. after I had last I had a new additional charge on my creditcard. when I called to inquire about the additional charged to my credit card after the fact I was accused of stealing the alarm clock from my room and told they would not refund the additional charge. in the future if I stay in lafayette I will big is staying at the sleep inn just across the street which is on average 10 dollars cheaper anyway. it's much cleaner and the staff is professional. Room smelt stale with smoke even though I am a smoker I never let rooms smell like this!! I suggest airing it out while no one is renting the room
"Buiness trip"
I have stayed at plenty of Hotels in the Lafayette area. I find that the Ambassador Inn is by far the best, cleanest and most affordable hotels in this area. I will be staying here from now on.

"Old fashioned - could've been better"
Nice king size bed, but bed was very hard. Old fashion furniture - nothing modern about the room at all. Old box TV w/ a remote where the #s were not visiable & had tape on it to hold the batteries in. After all that, I got a call from the front desk @ 11:15 am asking if I was checking out, as if people were lining up to stay there. Really...who has […] check out times @ 11 am anyway? The toilet rocked like a rocking chair. The sink drained very, very slow. I was afraid it would clog before my checkout. As I was leaving, I noticed that someone had taped over the secure locks on the door entering the hotel rooms area; anyone could walk in anytime; so much for security. No coffee until 0630. Upon checking in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, once I headed to my room, there was a funky smell in the hallways and in my room. The room was clean enough, but there were multiple stains on the cloth chair and ottoman, so much so that I wouldn't sit on it. Also, there is no coffee in the room and you can't get any from the lobby […] until 0630. As I rise very early, that was disappointing. The remote for the TV didn't work either. On the positive side, it was quiet. and very easy to find.The staff did offer some spray to help eliminate the odor :-) If you just need a bed for the night, this is okay. Continua a leggere

Toilet not attached to the floor, in general disrepair... find a different hotel if you are considering this one... cigarette burns on the bathtub in a non smoking room, musty water damage that was ignored.

Wow this place and service was awesome. It was worth double the price they charge for the room.

After reading other reviews, I thought the front desk lady was going to be nice and welcoming. What a GRUMP! She seemed annoyed to have to work when I walked in, VERY bad attitude! The hotel was nice enough for the price. The way to get to the room was a little weird and the hotel had a weird smell. My room was clean and comfortable enough.

I will never stay their again beds are very uncomfortable pillows are flat and the air does not work!!!!

Needed a place to sleep and get on the road early the next morning. Great rate and great for my needs. Breakfast the same as most others offering continental breakfast.

This hotel was a perfect stop on our way to New Orleans. It was right off the highway but not so close we could hear it in our room. The room was very clean and very comfortable. It looked like it had just been renovated and there was a slight smell of new paint but this did not bother us. We stayed in a non-smoking room and there was absolutely no […] smell of cigarettes (which there sometimes is if the floor is both non-smoking and smoking). The hotel was dirty. I was given a key to a room with furniture covered in plastic because it was under construction. I then was given a different room that I did not reserve. The room was gross and when I went to schedule a wake up call for myself, there was no cord in the phone- it was just sitting there.

Overall a very good stay. Pros: immaculate & smoke-free room; courteous service; hotel in safe location; comfortable bed; closed-circuit camera in hotel hallway; wireless internet was very fast; continental breakfast included waffles. I had a meeting about 5 miles away and this hotel was very conveiniant to the location, Staff was very courteous and did everything they could to make me comfotable. Would recommend to anyone.

I am so happy I found this hotel on Hotels.com...I've stayed 3 times now and every time I am greeted with a friendly counter person, even when I've arrived at 1am. The room is clean and simple. "Super Stay"
Great place at twice the price. Nice freshly pained room, quite well maintained. Breakfast would be nicer with a few more choices like yogert, just the usual waffles, cereal, bananas, juice. If you like Splenda or the blue packs bring your own only the pink sweetner here.
