My husband and I stayed here for two nights and loved it. The location is superb; we only drove our car once. We could walk to the trolleys, union square, Chinatown. It was so perfect. There are a few strip clubs down the street and as we drove by them to get to the inn, I was a little worried, but they were never an issue since we never really went […] down the street that far. The quality is certainly not anywhere near a Hilton or something, but for the price, it was just fine! It was clean and comfortable and very cheap for that location. We wouldn't have stayed here just by looking at hotels online, but it was recommended by hotels.com and we were very happy with this choice. Within walking distance (around the corner) to ChinaTown and many great restaurants. Close to Fisherman's Warf (although I would say pass - too touristy and the restaurants are expensive). Inexpensive - and San Fran can be expensive. We had a rental car, so toured around in that, but took cabs at night to the nightspots - they are plentiful and familiar with the hotel. Wow, yes it is an older motel and yes it is a little noisy being on a major street but FREE parking and right in the heart of China Town and a block from Little Italy!!! The location was good ,over priced. The room smelled from cigatets & we were told it is a non smoking . Not so clean, you have to pay for the vending machine in order to get ice. I will nev come back to this hotel .

This hotel is a good bargain and in the right place. It is a clean and decent place to stay. The street is busy and it was difficult to tune out the sound the first night, but after that I had no trouble. It's location on the edge of Chinatown and North Beach made it super convenient and the free parking was a big plus.

pretty simple i would be back to stay here again. staff nice friendly, ya like others reviews said it does looks bad from the outside as if its stuck in the 60 - 70's whatever but inside is clean and comfortable only down fall our room didnt have an ironing board. not sure if it was just ours or they didnt have any there, the GF was upset but i can […] careless and she quickly moved on. location to me was pretty good north of the hotel is little italy (if anything a block), if you keep going the same direction youll hit fisherman's wharf maybe a mile walk or so. the walk doesnt seem bad if your chatting away with someone. south from the hotel is the chinatown shopping district and if your really a walker keep going down and youll hit fashion district and major buildings. over all happy with the hotel and the price... well best around as you can tell every expensive around SF. oh as well tour bus stop is just a half block away in little italy that was great when we found out, think the name of the tour bus was the big red bus.. hope this helped you out... good luck Continua a leggere

As with all two-star hotels, you do not expect best in class regarding cleanliness and comfort. Walls are rather thin i.e. you hear your neighbours taking a shower or flushing the toilet. The room was clean in general, but bed covers and linen have been old. The location is the big plus of this hotel, plus the complimentary parking including a garage. […] The neighborhood is Chinatown (great if you like the food), the red light district (which however was no issue, also not when walking around later in the night) and Little Italy / North Beach (great regarding Italian food!). Within walking distance are Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf and North Beach / Coit Tower. There is no complimentary breakfast, however, there are again great places around. When guest asked customer service to please call for a cab, customer service told guest to just get a bus. Guest was awakened very early, in the morning, due to outside noise disturbance.

The location is great but on a very busy street. No air conditioning and you can't leave your window open because you'll hear everyone on the street in the middle of the night. Asked for a 'renovated' room. I would consider it renovated if it was still 1985. The cleaning crew had left a hair brush from the last guest next to the bed and night stand...Gross. […] The mini fridge had been removed from the room as well. Had to pay for ice. What a fantastic location set on the outskirts of China Town. Great price, friendly helpful reception. Near to the trams which we purchased a 3 day pass and went absolutely everywhere saving a fortune in indivisual tickets. The hotal was decent but we only slept in it so didn't require anything fancy as it was all about getting out and soaking up the […] atmosphere and seeing the sights and sounds. The street where all the bars come to life at night is on the doorstep and I remember it from 80s series 'The Streets of San Francisco Starting Theme' In particular Big Als. If you want a perfect place to stop for easy access to anywhere in the city at a good price stay here. If you want 5 star this is not the place for you - but surely your there to get out and enjoy the place so does it really matter. If you are visiting Chi9natown this is an excellent bargain. Otherwise it is two transit rides to fisherman's wharf and one ride to Union square. If it was closer to the,"F" trolley line it would be the best buy in San Francisco. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The parking is free!

The location was fifteen minutes walking distance from the pier or from union square. Hotel was located very close to restaurants and shopping. The best part about it that seperates the hotel from others is the free parking. Very pleased about that. I would highly recommend the stay to anyone. Thanks again Royal Pacific Motor Inn staff.

I attended the AAOS meeting in Mascone Center San Francisco from 5 feb -10 feb 2012. I booked the hotel via hotel.com. I was a bit worried about the location and surruonding before the arrival. I was absolutely convinced that the hotel give value for money. From the hotel a block away there are bus 30,8x or 45 direct to market street and the mascone […] centre. There are numerous grocery shops around, walking distance to the pier. If you are muslim nearby Indian and Pakistan food restaurant nearby (2 blocks away). Convinient for budget travel. If you booked early may ask a room that are more quite. The heater fan creating more noise that the car on the street. If you can adapt early it will not disturb your sleep. The good things are the room is clean, the washroom is clean, coffee maker, free parking and wi-fi (very important for long distance travellers). Friendly staffs and they will accommodate your request. Lastly the hotel is worth the money spent. The location of this hotel is really convenient and the room was spacious. We booked the room with the king bed and queen size pull out bed and was able to fit 5 people comfortably. There was a pretty big balcony to our room. The room came with basic toiletries and hair dryer. The location is close to Chinatown and North Beach. It's also a short walk […] to Union Square. Only problem was jackhammering within 20 ft. of our room at 9 oclock in the morning waking us up. Also we asked for a late check out and they gave us an extra 30 minutes. 12:30 instead of 12. At 11:50 they called us and ask us why we hadnt checked out yet. When we addresed these issues upon check out only a half hearted apology was given.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The Hotel is located at heart of Chinatown and close by North Beach. It is walking distance to a lot of excellent resturant and souvenure shop. The hotel itself is terrible.

gute Lage inmitten von San Franciscos Chinatown; Muni-Bus und CableCar sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zwei Straßen weiter beginnt das Viertel North Beach mit vielen Restaurants. Allerdings ist das Hotel sehr hellhörig. Da es direkt am Broadway liegt, sollte man zudem nach einem Zimmer zum Innenhof fragen. Ideaal voor de auto. Dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden. Kamers aan straatkant zijn helaas niet geluidsdicht. Dus s'morgens hoor je het verkeer heel goed. Hotel ziet er niet uit van buiten, maar kamers daarintegen zijn keurig en netjes verzorgd.

Ett riktigt bra hotell mitt i North Beach och alldeles intill Chinatown. Nära till trevliga barer och restauranger och City Lights bokhandeln. Några meter till lokalbussarna ner till Wharf eller till Union Square. Kanske lite mycket ljud från Brodway Street på nätterna. Men helhetsintrycket mycket gott.
