Sono stato 11 giorni in totale, 8 dei quali nella suite ambassadorm, enorme, con cucina e terrazzo. Molto bene tutto, 1 km dal centro, si può fare a piedi, ma l' hotel merita molto, il prezzo ok per ciò che offre

Resort ben organizzato, personale disponibile e all'altezza. Anche l'assistenza turistica in generale è qualificata e in grado di rispondere alle domande ed esigenze più varie. Al ristorante self service c'è buona varietà di portate e - fatto quasi straordinario - la pasta è cotta al dente! Ma se volete qualcosa ancora meglio ci sono 4 ristoranti tematici (internazionale, messicano, mediterraneo e italiano): ambienti tranquilli e con servizio "à la carte" di maggior qualità, l'unico neo è che bisogna prenotare con largo anticipo (anche due giorni prima) perchè i posti sono veramente limitati (circa 40 coperti disponibili ognuno): troppo pochi per un resort che ha oltre 600 camere e può quindi ospitare anche 1500 persone. Bello e curato il contesto verde in cui è immerso il complesso. Il resort si trova direttamente sulla spiaggia, privata, e a 20 minuti di passeggiata dal centro di Palya del Carmen, quindi accessibilissimo. Camere ampie e ben tenute, pulizia sempre accurata. I lati negativi? il servizio biciclette a disposizione dei clienti: chiude alle 17.00 proprio quando il caldo è meglio sopportabile per pedalare. Poca cosa quindi..... Alcuni amici che soggiornavano con noi e avevano la camera a piano terra mi hanno riferito di odori sgradevoli, tipici degli ambienti umidi e mal isolati dal terreno. Comunque è certamente un resort da consigliare, magari evitando di prenotare al piano terreno.

Ancora abbastanza piccola da poter essere visitata a piedi, Playa del Carmen è caratterizzata da un'atmosfera rilassata ma cosmopolita, con una varietà di hotel, negozi e ristoranti di tutti i tipi, da quelli informali a quelli eleganti. Prendere il sole secondo lo stile europeo è molto comune sulle spiagge. Playa è un famoso punto di ritrovo per tour giornalieri verso Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tulum e altre attrazioni della penisola; un traghetto passeggeri effettua corse frequenti per Cozumel.

Il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile e la struttura è molto bella. "Azul five Playa del Carmen"
Siamo stati accolti con sorrisi e tanta ospitalità, ogni piccola richiesta era soddisfatta. Anche se l'hotel è per famiglie, e noi una coppia in vacanza alla ricerca di tanto relax, non siamo stati minimamente disturbati dalla presenza dei pargoli, che avevano personale, spazi e strutture attrezzate per trascorrere la loro vacanza. il cibo è buono, […] nessuna fila per accomodarsi ai tavoli, ai quali si è accompagnati dagli assistenti di sala e presentati al cameriere che servirà. Le zone pool sono delle vere e proprie chicche, bar in acqua dedicati e camerieri che servono ai lettini, lo stesso vale per la beach, dove c'e anche l'animazione, sempre presente, ma molto discreta. L'ingresso in mare è un pò difficoltoso per la presenza di banchi rocciosi, ma niente che non possa essere "aggirato", piochè danno anche la possibilità di fare snorkeling. "Family with 2 young children had a FANTASTIC week!"
We had a fantastic week at Azul Fives with our two 1.5 year old boys. We arrived to a very warm welcome including champaign and friendly service at check-in. The staff were very friendly, the property is absolutely gorgeous, the food is fantastic (and I'm not an easy judge), and all the details of the resort made for a great stay. "They don´t give you what they offer"
We stayed at this hotel with an all inclusive deal.... altough the staff tries to be friendly the sevice is SUPER slow, everything you ask for takes minimum an hour to get there, and it is very common for them to let you know that they don´t have in stock what you are asking for. The room was the best part, they are very big and spacious, but you have […] to walk a lot to get to the beach or to the restaurants. A big disapointment was also the quality of the food, they sell themselves as gourmet included, but honestly the food quality is poor and the third day we were there we were tired of the small variety they offer. It is a nice place, especially good if you have children but the slow SLOW sevice is really annoying and the bad quality food is a huge minus point. The beach is not the best in the area, you cannot get into the sea because it´s full of rocks, but you can walk like 5 to 10 min from the hotel and find better beachfront. "Wedding Event"
About 70 guests attended our niece's wedding. We enjoyed our stay being with family and friends, Very poor service at the AREZZO restaurant..never got our food, waiter kept saying it's coming when I asked, We were the first to order, the rest of our group of 26 got their food, We finally left. The food was later delivered to our room, food was not good. […] This happen on our first night..if it wasn't for the wedding we probably would have moved to another hotel. Food and service at other restaurants was OK, nothing outstanding. No full length mirror in room, the only mirror is in bathroom. Bathroom has no place to hang bath towel or robe. The property was clean and well maintained. The day of the wedding we had perfect weather, great ambience, good food, good entertainment, great day overall. "new hotel - clean but poor service and cold water!"
stayed here for one night - new hotel and impressive rooms with 2 toilets, two tvs and all looks modern and clean. However, there was no hot water!, in addition the back door leading to small terace area was defective and did not lock, some of the lights could not be switiched off at night and the safe deposit box was faulty. The final straw was that […] our room key stopped working due to a fault with the door system which required two members of staff to sort out. So summary, nice looing rooms and design, but lack of attention to the basics such as water and locks. Ok for a day or two but would not recommend a long stay. "friendly staff, great for families with children, limited bars and restaurant choices"
I stayed at Azul Fives from 11/13 to 11/17 for our baby-moon. It's a small but modern hotel. During our stay, only 2 out of the 5 bars were open. 3 out of the 4 restaurants were open (one under renovation) and there is only 1 restaurant open for breakfast and 1 restaurant open for lunch so the selections were very limited. The staffs were very friendly […] and nice. The hotel is great for families with small children. They have a lot of toys around most public areas for kids to play and the toys were all sponsored by Fisher Price (include the high chairs and booster seats in the restaurants). The room are very spacious. Beach is a bit rocky so not ideal for swim or kids. I would recommend the hotel to families who wants a small vacation. The Azul Fives was surprisingly wonderful! After many visits to Cancun for the past 20 years, didn't expect any different from this location. Not that Cancun is bad...it's actually wonderful-just avoid it during spring break or graduation! Totally different! Went for a family wedding & stayed in the King Suite. Wow! Absolutely beautiful! Although there […] was a hint of mildew when we first arrived. (Building 9) and the elevator reeked of mildew. We let them know at the front desk so hopefully, knowing about the problem, they will get that fixed. Can't say enough about the service---we were really impressed! EVERYONE-even the yard maintenance crew, spoke to us. This is an all-inclusive resort & they know the tips are already included, so we were delighted at how everyone was so outgoing, friendly & helpful! The food was spectacular! The pool bars were awesome! We all gathered at the pool on the beach. The constant breeze kept us all coming back to this pool and not the ones near the rooms. Although I do have to say, the size of these 2 pools is amazing & beautiful how they wrap around all the buildings. We were here from June30-Jul3, so it was about as hot as it was going to get! That's why we always went to the pool with the breeze! We would highly recommend staying at the Azul Fives. We went into the town of Playa del Carmen...a $15 cab ride each way. We stayed there for one night. It is a little north of Playa del carmen, further than you can walk. June 2011, they just open 6 monthes earlier so everything was in mint condition. Very nice rooms and restaurants with modern feel to them. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. There are many bars and food place located around the grounds. "Azul Fives Extremely Satisfied"
Enjoyed everything. Dinner food needs improvement though. Be careful making a reservation at Senses, $98 per person, and some of the courses very good, some not so good. The staff was extremely courteous, and very prompt. If looking for a great hotel, which is relatively peaceful, this could be your place. The welcome was very nice. The penthouse was very modern and spacious. The hottub on the rooftop cannot be used, because there is not hot water to fill it. The room is huge, nicely decorated, again. The facilities are good, the breakfast each morning is good, the pool is beautiful, but I did not like the beach. 1.The sea is awful!!!! no way to swim in the sea!!!!!we were resting there for 2 weeks, but we didnot swim in the sea. 2.And pools are VERY cold. Children cant swim in it at all!!!!!!!!!! 3.Rooms are not comfort, there are no telephone in living rooms ( only in bedrooms). 4.In showers there no place for shampoos and others things. 5.there are washing […] machines and kitchen items(plates,spoons,forks and so on) in rooms, but we WASNOT allowed to use it. It was said, that in hotel there are restaurants and laundry, use IT. 6. We had 2-bedroom penthouse, and we had barbeque. But we had No GAS for it. Hotel was great, we did the European plan instead of the all inclusive. It worked out really well, we made our own breakfast, ate lunch at the beach restaurants and had dinner in town or in one of hte 3 hotel restaurants. The beds were comfortable, the rooms beautiful the staff were friendly. A few bumps but overall wonderful. "Beautiful Hotel. Beach - not so much"
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are absolutely huge and well-appointed. Food and drink were excellent (loved the "Gourmet Inclusive" a la carte approach - much better food than a typical buffet). The staff is all very friendly. Supposedly they have smoking in "designated areas only", which I was told did not include the pool areas, but I was chased […] away from the pools more than once by chain smokers. The mini-bar was only restocked once while we were there (1 week) and only after I called twice to request it. The beach was too covered in coral to be able to swim without booties, but we were told that there was a gorgeous sandy beach about 15 minutes down to the left. "Not downtown at all - bad service and bad food"
OK. The rooms. First room. I sit on the bed. The bed breaks. Back to the reception. We ask for a new room. They don't have one just right now. Maybe in two hours or so. It's lunch time, so why don't you go for lunch and come back after. We go to the See Olive, their beach side restaurant. Bad food. Then back to the reception. They give us a new room. […] We get there and it's half clean. We stay there and take a nap. Two people come into the room saying they were just given this room. I try to take a shower, I can't work their strange shower and I end up taking a cool shower. When we try to get some sleep at night, the ceiling fan light starts to do funny things. It turns on and off by itself. We call reception and they send someone. The man has to open the ceiling fan and to work on it for some time while we wait sitting on the beds. "Won't be going back!"
We spent a very expensive Christmas vacation at the Azul Fives by Karisma. The resort is beautiful, but from the time we arrived until the day we left there was an extremely bad smell outside of our room, which eventually sitfed inside of our room. It was the strongest urine smell you can imagine. After daily complaints, to which management sent a maid […] with a bottle of airfreshener up to spray inside and outside of our room, still nothing was done to resolve the problem. The maintenance people came daily, looked around, shook their heads, but again - nothing was done! The resort was not full but we were never given the option of moving to a different room that did not stink. After paying that much money and having several sleepless nights, wondering if we would be the next to explode from sewer gas, needless to say I will not be returning. The bar, restaurant and beach staff are wonderful and the place really is beautiful but I truly feel we should have been compensated somehow. The beach was the worst I have seen in years!!!, the pools have no heat, and was cold in November and early December. If you are going for pool, then great...but if you are going for the beach forget it...Also, they talk about the great Penthouse with jacuzzi, (OMG) the jacuzzi does not have heat, and it works like a bathtube.. Hotellet var bra og nesten nytt. Skuffelsen var at vi bestilte et hotell i sentrum av Playa del Carmen og fikk et kart ved bestillingen som viste at det var i sentrum, men det viste seg at hotellet lå 7 km fra Playa del Carmen. Hotelelt var bra for barnefamilier, men passer mindre for bare voksne. Det meste var tilrettelagt for barn. Vi lærte at vi […] skulle svare "Exellente" når de spurte hvordan vi hadde det.
