Per una cinquantenne come me certo ogni tanto le molte giovani sono un po' rumorose ma per il costo si può davvero sopportare...

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 8 nov 2012Buona opzione per chi abbia voglia di passare qualche giorno a Chicago a prezzo ragionevolissimo senza restare rintanato in camera (si veda più in là). L'hotel (forse meglio chiamarlo Motel) ha una posizione ideale, è a 10 min a piedi dal centro, a 2 passi da 2 linee di Metrò e facilmente raggiungibile in auto. Camera parecchio fredda per via del riscaldamento renitente (soggiorno in novembre). Ci tornerei! Di fronte alla reception baretto "caratteristico"con colazioni su misura

Had a great visit at the Dana Hotel. All the staff there is extremely friendly, always saying hello every time I passed. The bed was really comfortable. The only downsides were that it seems like there aren't enough elevators for this hotel. I always had to wait for one. I really enjoyed the Dana. One of the better and cooler hotels I've stayed in. Loved the distressed cement ceilings, the hardwood floors and general layout of the rooms. The Dana is a great place that I stay at a few times a year, but they are starting to slip on the details. Bathroom door is a rolling door...our door wouldn't stay shut. Me and my boyfriend visited the hotel between April 3 to the 5th. We liked how close the hotel was to downtown, how friendly the staff was, and how clean the rooms were. The hotel staff was very helpful when having to take care of our luggage as well as answering any questions we may have had. It ended up that I forgot a couple items in my room and […] upon calling I was taken care of right away. The price of the hotel room wasn't too bad however the $44/day parking adds up. My advice is to look around for another garage with overnight rates between $25 and $30/day. The hotel has a great gym and lounge! The only reason my overall rating was a 4.5 is because I had a little bit of trouble coordinating with housekeeping in order to get the items I felt behind back. We stayed at the Dana for 3 nights. The staff was excellent - especially the front desk, the doorman and the chef at the restaurant. The food was creative, delicious, and fresh. The hotel was a real surprise for me. Some of the reviews by other guests were as usual accurate. The rooms with the balconies are small but adequate for a single or couple. However, the balcony is a bonus. The downside to these rooms is the noise factor, especially in the early hours of the morning. But honestly, there are no hotels in the downtown […] area that can escape city noise: trains, fire trucks, ambulances, cars etc. It just goes with the territory. The hotel had a LOT of unique touches: free wireless (smart of them to do this when almost all hotels charge hefty fees), a cooler that you don't have to concern yourself with moving something and being charged for it. Some people might find the glass shower wall opening into the bed room to be "revealing", but like I said this room is small and suitable for a single guest. The biggest plus for me was the health club facilities - exceptionally nice for a hotel. Great equipment. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. There are several grocery stores within easy walking distance, a bank across the street, and so many restaurants to choose from. It is an easy walk north to Chicago avenue and over to Water Tower. I would also add that the staff and restaurant personnel are very attentive to your needs. Food at the hotel is actually priced reasonably for downtown Chicago. "favorite hotel in chicago!"

The Dana Hotel was the best choice we made the entire trip. The rooms were sheik and modern, very clean. The staff were lovely, friendly and incredibly accommodating. Every time I saw a house keeper, she greeted me and my partner with a warm smile and a "how are you?" The front desk staff made arrangements so we could have an early check in and late […] check out, due to our flight times. That helped a lot! Alex, the bartender was very informative and fun! If you end up staying here, (which you should) We recommend 25 degrees, a bar/restaurant down the street as well as the wine bar across the street (they are open and serve food until 4am!). We had a comfi room, it is small but totally okay for some days. And the bed is soooo comfortable!! We had a problem with our tv at the beginning, but they fixed it! The spa is nice, would highly recommend a classic Swedish massage! The staff were always friendly and helpful. Why not 5? Had to ask again to fix our tv. Room was extremely clean; staff was very informative & helpful; were put on the 23rd floor, 3 floors down from the roof top club and you could barely hear it; Wine bar stocked with 5 different wines-all very well priced for being in a hotel. "Wonderful place to stay!"
We truely enjoyed our stay at the Dana. The staff went out of their way to be friendly & helpful. Although the room was a little small, it was beautifully decorated, the bed was heavenly, and the rainfall shower was amazing. The food and service in the restaurant/bar was great. Vertigo, the roof top club was nice, but I would suggest reserving a table […] with bottle service, if you plan to stay for more than a drink or 2 as there is really no place to sit. Sadly we did not have enough time to visit the Spa. "very nice hotel, very good value"
The only reason I gave the rating for the "comfort of the room" a 4 and not a 5 was the relationship of the balcony and window to an adjoining apartment. Modern rooms with hardwood floors. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure. Helpful guest services and concierge. Bathroom is see thru from bed; glass doors separate bath from room with a curtain from the outside.
