"Great Stay"
We stayed here for a gymnastics competition. The location was perfect! Plenty of places to eat nearby and it was close to the meet location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit on the small side but nice. We were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub as it was opened until 11pm so that was a plus seeing as most places we've stayed […] at close the pool by 10pm. I would definitely stay here again! I needed a hotel close to Baseball Heaven for a recruiting camp. The hotel is close to the freeway and it was easy to get to where I had to go. There is a laundromat across the street, which I needed for uniform laundering. The neighborhood is reasonably good and the desk can give a list of nearby restaurants. "Rude, incompetent staff at the Marriott"
The service level of this hotel is an embarrassment to the Marriott name. My colleagues and I have used the Marriott in China, HongKong and the USA. Never before, have I experience such rude, incompetent staff who supposedly carry J, W. Marriott's mantra of service First incident: Since there were three of us in three rooms, I tried to be helpful and […] indicated to "key-maker" that only one key was necessary. She had just made a second key for my room and snapped back: "So, do you want it or not?". She repeated herself three times, each time louder than before. I was so taken aback that I stood mute at this unnecessary and unprovoked rudeness. Second incident: My GM was issued a key into an OCCUPIED room. Both he and the gentleman inside room 318 were startled - it was around 8pm when we checked in. Fortunately, my colleague did not walk into a room.occupied by a lady! For the sake of the Marriott corporation, I hope these incidents did not stem from the fact that my colleagues and I are Chinese. I am the Business Manager for 10K-employee public company in China. "Very good exp and convenient for my short stay"
Everything was good, though I would have preferred a more comfortable reading chair in the room. Rooms/public areas were clean. B'fast had good selection of choices. Pool and hot tub closed when we arrived. Very disappointed after 7the hr drive. Desk managers solution was to check us out so we could go somewhere else. REALLY. very inconvenient to use facilities. Everything locked and have to go to front desk to get special key for pool area. No restrooms in pool area. Lobby restrooms locked. So if you want to use […] it. You have to go to front desk dripping wet. Foolish. Breakfast was not great. We walked next door to the comfort inn. Which is much less money breakfast there was great. "Dont miss the shuttle the cab ride is expensive"
Although it claims to be close to the Islip airport it is quite a distance from it. The day before arriving I called to confirm my shuttle pick up. The day of the arrival I called for pick up and was told the shuttle driver was very busy and that I should take a local cab company. The cab ride from the airport costs $ 30.00 to the hotel. For a Marriott, this wasn't at all what I expected. The room was tiny and the bed and linens were extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't get the heat to turn off and the room was stifling all night. I would never stay at this hotel again.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
