The location for our needs was excellent and service was very courteous. The room it's self was tired and in need of updating and would benefit from a TV in the bedroom. On the whole we enjoyed the apartment and it was ideal for our needs on the 2 nights we stayed. The safety and security is very good and I felt at ease knowing my vehicle and valuables […] were secure and only authorised guests were able to access the building and car park. It is just 3min walk from MU train, and downtown. Also has good kitchen.

City Nites is so convenient for the NIA. We were back in the apartment in front of the TV whilst everyone else was still looking for their car. Watch out for the £250 room deposit which is taken from your card at check-in and takes 3 working days to be credited. And I never got a satisfactory explanation of why a photocopy of my driving licence was […] required. The apartments are large (we were upgraded to a 2 bed) and fairly well appointed. A do it yourself breakfast is required as there are no facilities on site nor are there any local eateries, although there's a small shop 200 yards away but you have to know it's there as you can't see it until you pass it by. Very pleasantly surprised excellant value. Only 2 minute walk to centre of Braod Street from along side the NIA. Facilities and room quality were excellant.

Very friendly reception staff, who gave us tea and the offer of muffins as they were unable to check us in as their computers were down. We waited an hour for the IT person to arrive! By this time I was getting fed up and then they allocated us a room despite no computers. We were on the 3rd floor block D. I was accompanied by my elderly wheelchair […] bound mother. Access wasn't easy,very heavy single door and then 3 steps down to the lift!! The apartment was great, very clean, well equipped and spacious. We stayed 2 nights and the location was brilliant for the NIA/ICC and the city centre. I have not stayed at an apartment hotel before. I was expecting maid service, but no one came. No internal phone to ring reception and we weren't told that you need to order breakfast before 4pm the previous day. But overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would return. City Nites is not fancy - but it does the job if you are in town for a convention. It is not a hotel, but more like corporate apartments. The kitchen is nice. The bedrooms have old carpet and poor window coverings (light from streetlamp comes through the window). The bathrooms are nice - and strong showers - which is rare. What a brill place to stay, no more hotels for us as we have a 20 month old child who needs space and can go to bed without us in the room, close to nia areana and 5 min walk to city centre, will stay there again, only downside £250 deposit but I suppose they have to as people can damage things. Brilliant place.

Amazingly close to the NIA which was our whole reason for our visit to Birmingham. Loved the apartment and it's facilities would definitely use again.

Was close to NIA and ICC with good amenities; very clean and quiet despite central location. Reception staff very helpful. Ideal if you want to self cater. As a female I was not sure about walking back from ICC/Broad Street on my own to City Nites although locals assured me it was safe. On this count only a hotel on Broad Street might be preferred but […] would not have full kitchen, dining area, lounge and bedroom. It really was self contained flat and very reasonable. Perfect location. Pleasant stay. Balcony! One negative comment: we booked an apartment with 2 double beds, but only one room was en-suite. this was not mentioned clearly whilst booking.

Facilities and rooms were fantastic and parking was secure. My only issue was that upon arrival at check in I was told by reception that I had to put down £250 per room as a deposit. This money then takes a few days to be transferred back to your account so it leaves me very hard up for a few days after visiting. This £250/room figure should be made […] much clearer to the customer when doing the initial booking. Or simply card details should be taken at check in and no money should leave the account unless it is needed for damage or any reason. It was Friday night that I visited and although the rooms were signed off as being fine, on Tuesday I'm still £500 down on my account. Within walking distance of all the central sights. Very clean, a little worn around the edges.fabulous and accommodating front desk staff. Will be staying there again!

This is the second time I have stayed in these apartments. This time my room wasn't quite as nice as the first due to the fact that directly outside the bedroom window there was a walkway to the other rooms. However, these apartments are always well equipped and very secure. The car park is underneath and is gated off (there is an additional charge […] to use it tho). The apartments are well located and a stones throw from Board Street which is a pleasant stroll along the canal. You can also access the Mailbox area along the canal. Even tho these are apartments, rather than a hotel, you still get towels and soap etc and they have digiboxes and a dining room table and chairs in them. The staff were really friendly...stayed there for a few days whilst sitting an exam.....was like being at home.....very clean and quiet...would definitely recommend.

trendy new apartment near birmingham town centre. has everything you could need, very clean, pretty safe neighbourhood parked the car on the street overnight for free and friendly reception staff!

I had a very comfortable stay. Had to go out of the building to get access to my room but this was not sign posted anywhere and I was not informed at reception. Took me quite a few minuites to work it out.

We found City Nites a really great place to stay. It's literally your own apartment in the centre of town. It has everything you need, including a decked out modern kitchen, living room and very secure parking area. The only thing I would critise is the location. If you don't have a car, it can be a hard to get around, to and from town, as it's at […] least a 15min walk. Regardless of this I would recommend City Nites to anyone staying in B'ham. Overall my stay at the apartment was fine. However, the bathroom sink plug was missing, there was an iron burn on the carpet and the bed was so soft it made me feel like the princess and the pea! The surrounding area was quite noisy at night, but that's to be expected for the location,which is just off the main entertaintment drag of central Birmingham […] - that said it was great for my ICC conference as less than 5 mins from the venue :o) The kitchen was well presented and had everything you might need to self-cater, but there were plenty of bars, restaurants and cafe all within easy distance if that takes your fancy too. As stated above the overall the stay was fine, but the plug, carpet and uncomfortable bed took the edge off - as did the sweets I found behind the bedroom door which showed that the hoover hadn't made it there! This is a good place for people who wants to have some extra space and peaceful location. City nites is self contained flats situated opposite the NIA, we stayed their to attend a event at the NIA and it was perfect. From reading previous reviews I didn't know what to expect but on arrival we were very satisfied, we have even booked to stay again as it was perfect for our needs. We stayed in block C and our apartment was superb, very clean […] and plenty of room. everything we needed for our stay was there. Secure parking is avaliable but at a cost but with its location and parking in the area the prices are fine. Be ready to pay a £250 security deposit when you arrive just incase any damage is caused to the apartment during your stay (this will be frozen within your account and not removed). Staff were polite on check in and also extremley quick check out, we were even allowed to leave our car within the car park after checking out so that we could go for breakfast and shopping in the local area. Perfect location as 5 minutes walk to broad street and brindley place. and 15 mins to city centre. Would recommend to any one whether this is for a 1 night stay or longer. Continua a leggere

A great place to stay. Self-contained, self-catering appartments; 2 minutes on foot from the NIA. Friendly and efficient operated a smooth check in, providing all info required. Appartments spacious, clean and well-equipped. Central yet quiet and safe location. Car parking available at a reasonable fee, although manoeuvring was interesting. Make no mistake, this is not a regular hotel! It more an appartment complex, with a very small reception open limited hours. Booking through hotels.com I though I had booked a hotel but I should have looked closer. If you are looking for an apartment with a fullt kitchen you have found the right place. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed could be more comfortable though. The location is great, right next to NIA. The kitchen was excellent with all the things one may require. They have a free DVD library but i could not use it. I stayed there for 6 days and found Daniel at the front office very helpful.

Apartment was excellent and paid a very good price for the 3 nights. Had no problems except when they changed the key code number. They put a slip through the door in the morning but i had left before so could not get in when i got back in the evening. Luckily i was back before 10 as the reception closes at that time.

It wasn't quite what I expected: less of a hotel and more like a self-contained flat, comprising bedroom, lounge-diner and kitchen (complete with washing-machine!) The location was very convenient for the city centre and, in the circumstances, suprisingly quiet. Breakfast came as a bit of a surprise - or rather, it didn't come at all ! If one wants […] breakfast, it must me ordered by 4pm the previous day and that is where the kitchen comes in. Luckily, there is a small sandwich-bar nearby which serves a very reasonbly priced breakfast, albeit in rather basic surroundings. In short, I would recommend this "hotel" (sic) to anyone on a budget who wants to stay for a few days and is happy to cook for themselves. I would have been happier if the self-catering nature of the accomodation had been explained more clearly and also, if someone had remembered to TURN THE HEATING ON BEFORE I ARRIVED ! Couldn't fault it! Really comfortable and convenient. No noise from outside or neighbours. Really private. All mod cons. Great for our party (3 girls). Really good value. We had two bed apartment. Would definately go back.

Check in took an age - not at all satisfied with this. I have stayed in these self-catering apartments on several occasions, and feel that the rooms are very hit and miss. On this occasion, I was given a two bedroom apartment in Building E (worst building to stay in, in my opinion) which had several problems: 1. Decor not up to the standard shown […] on website/Hotels.com - very basic bedding, curtain hanging off window, cutlery just thrown in a drawer, no order. 2. Stagnant water in washing machine - not draining, therefore unuseable. 3. Several door handles broken 4. Oven dirty- greasy tin foil left in oven - I didn't appreciate having to clean the oven before I used it! 5. Bath plug mechanism broken - bath water therefore didn't drain from bath. 6. Internet connection woeful (other buildings are better in this regard). We complained, the staff were friendly and understanding about this, and therefore got moved to another room in the same block, which was of a better standard but still did not have internet access (frustrating as this is supposed to be included in the price and was one of the main attractions of using City Nites). My advice is: If you're not happy with your room , phone and get transferred to another. Some of the other apartments are really beautifu (Block A is much better than Block El, and you have paid the money on the basis of the pictures of these nice apartments, so insist on getting one! We didn't even have a welcome pack in either of the rooms we stayed in - which any visitor to City Nites definitely needs in order to be made aware of the facilities (e.g. free DVD rental from Reception, which you won't know about unless you have a welcome pack!) ALSO - Serious issue regarding deposit. They take a £250 deposit on check in. I didn't have a credit card so used my debit card. I am still waiting (3 days later!) for this to be refunded to my bank account - I am furious that City Nites can take the money automatically from me, but seemingly Continua a leggere

Lovely spacious beautifully furnished apartment. Well equipped and so much quieter than other well known hotels. Have recommended it to loads of people already.

City Nites is right beside the NIA and near the town centre, Our apartment was lovely. Just as described. Would recommend to friends.

5 mins walk from the NIA, makes it the perfect location affter seeing an event. Close to Brindley place, so plenty of pubs and places to eat. You get an apartment with a kitchen and lounge/diner. Car parking is available at a charge, but is secure. Modern decor and all mod cons. Great city crash pad.

After staying in a number of hotels in Birmingham on business. City Inn, Novotel, Jury's Inn as well as Travelodges and Premier Inns, either on or a 2 minute walk from Broad Street, I was more than delighted to come across this little gem, literally 30 yards behind the NIA. You can walk from the aprtments to NIA, ICC, National Sea Life Centre, canals […] and the restaurants and bars of Brindley Place all within 3/5 minutes. Good quality accommodation; we were in a one-bedroomed apartment, which included 1 double bedroom complete with built-in wardrobe and leather sleigh type bed. The lounge/dining area had 2 leather two-seater sofas, glass dining table with 4 leather-backed chairs, glass coffee tables. The kitchen was open-plan into this area, with all the accessories, including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, micro, kettle, iron, etc, etc.The bathroom had a quality bathroom suite including bath with overbath Grohe power shower. Apartment also had an airing cupboard, storage cupboard (for ironing board, broom, etc). The apartment was well-maintained, with only a couple of minor blemishes caused by previous occupants. (eg splashmark on wall/celing, but very minor). The apartments have secure parking @ £10/day and also secure entry to each of the apartment blocks. There is a small store nearby, with limited stocks, but they do the usual items of milk, juice, bread, etc. Continua a leggere

was a great apartment lovely and clean catered for everything u would need.would recommend i nice comfortable stay here.if wanting to self cater has all utilities required even has washer/dryer.internet and u can borrow dvds if u want at no extra cost.

I chose this place because other hotels were either fully booked or too expensive for me. /It was a pleasant surprise to find that Citinites was a self contained flat with all the home comforts. Washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board and iron (not that I used it). The brochure did say no breakfast, but on the first night, we were provided with […] some sort of provisions like cornflakes, muffin, milk and nut bar. I was not sure whether that was for the next morning only but that was the only time there was a delivery. There was no cleaning service at all and had to request a change of towels and toilet rolls after the 2nd day. The towels were promptly changed but I feel that there should be an inspection of the flat every day to ensure that nothing is missing. I was completely put off though about the £10 charge everyday to use the car park. I did not remember reading about this anywhere and had to cough the money up as everywhere else around had parking restrictions. I feel this should be more clearly stated. Continua a leggere
