Good situation - very near vaporetta stop on Grand Canal, but away from the crowds round St Marks. Hotel itself is spotless - staff extremely pleasant especially Georgia, one of the receptionists, who pointed us to lesser known places of interest. Would not stay antwhere else in Venice.

This hotel is kind of hard to find, so bring a printed out DETAILED google map with you. It is close to the train station though, and only requires you to cross 2 bridges, both with stairs, to get to. Hard to find a hotel in Venice Nice hostel to stay Close to pier very convenient and easy to find Nice staff

Overall - a pleasant hotel in a quiet location. With Venice not being that large "quiet location" does not mean that the hotel is in any way 'far from the madding crowd' as most sights are near enough to stroll to. For anyone who has not been to Venice, the public water bus/taxi stops within 5 minutes level walk thus an opportunity for an economical […] transfer from the airport or if arriving by bus/coach/train. The main bus & train stations are a 10 minute walk - again offering a value-for-money transfer option (bus is 5 Euros one way). Not knowing Venice at all and how/where the hotel was situated we opted for a private water taxi from the airport; a good option but at 100 Euros it is 20x more expensive than the local coach service and only set us down 50m closer than the public water bus/taxi (plus - it was dark and therefore there was no view to be had; a day time arrival would have been worth the spend). The front-of-house staff were very nice, as were the 'locals', assisting us with our queries for good restaurants as well as proffering tips for getting the most out of our trip. Bedroom, bathroom and and wardrobe spaces are good for a long weekend but wouldn't suit everyone if staying for a week or more. Breakfasts were typically continental and were okay but with a downside that the deliberate quirkiness of the chairs and tables meant that you either ate hunched forward or angled backwards; in any event it wasn't an issue as we weren't in Venice for the coffee & croissants! (If it helps - I score "up" rather than "down" so "4 out of 5" is pretty good; in short - we would use this hotel again, arriving & departing by water bus/taxi to/from the airport). A little hard to find like most things in Venice. Convenient to the train station (less than 10 minutes) & less than a 20 minute walk to Saint Marco's square. Convenience to the train station was important because we didn't want to drag our luggage through the tight and crowded back allies of Venice.

We stayed here during the August Bank Holiday in 2011 and it was excellent! I am usually quite fussy with accomodation, but this hotel is an excellent option in Venice. It's very accessable being only one stop on the waterbus from the train station and two stops on the water bus from the bus station. It's about a twenty minute walk to the Rialto tower […] and half hour walk to ST Marks Square (the water bus takes about the same amount of time and is a great way to see Venice!). The service was outstanding - I unfortunately got sick while I was on holiday and the front of house team were excellent at providing help with getting to hospital, doctor and the right drugs from the pharmacies. The breakfast is also very nice and great coffee. The rooms were of great quality and there was plenty of room for two of us and our suitcases! The windows are double glazed to blocks out the noise outside, although it's located in a quiet area anyway, so there's not much noise to block out anyway. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere that has excellent service, good quality and very clean rooms, very accessible and very reasonable price compared to some other hotels in Venice! Very nice hotel - loved the decor. Good breakfast and excellent staff. Location good but difficult to find - make sure you get off the waterbus at Ferrier as this is much quicker than walking from the Rialto stop. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed for two nights and found the location very convenient. The rooms are small and we had a strange smell in our room on the first night. But the staff moved us to a much better room the second night and were very attentive to our needs. Their customer service is outstanding. Breakfast was included and was good. A good value

The hotel location is great as it is not on the main trail but not far from anything (but then what is in Venice...). Had a room facing the interior courtyard, which we loved. Air-conditioning worked well and was not noisy at all. Room & bathroom were clean and felt spacious although the rooms are not huge. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast […] was tasty, plenty and fresh. We felt it was worth paying a bit extra as this was our oasis in the tourist bustle that is Venice in July. This was a charming hotel, with cheerful, unique decor. Each room was decorated in a unique color scheme. Throughout the hotel were closeup photos of sculpture from around the city in highly stylized modern frames. This is an old building that was renovated and remodeled as a boutique hotel. Ca Zusto is a oasis in the canals of Venice! It's in a quiet location away from the craziness of the major tourist sights and easy to get to from the train or bus stations. It was a 20 minute walk from Piazzale Roma and we had to carry our suitcases over 2 or 3 canal bridges but it wasn't too bad. The Nutella croissants are to die for! Since we had had an unpleasant experience with our lodgings in Florence, Ca Zusta was an especially nice way to end our Italian vacation. After staying at several small bed and breakfasts in Italy my husband and I were thrilled when we arrived at the Domina hotel in Venice. It was the only hotel we stayed at during our stay that reminded us of a qualify US hotel. The hotel was clean, modern, and well decorated. They served a full hot breakfast every morning and the location was great. It is close to the train station which was convenient for leaving our luggage with the hotel and leaving for a late night train. It is also in an area that is less crowded than some of the more "touristy" areas and allowed my husband and I to really wander the streets and enjoy Venice. Domina Home Ca Zusto is a really clean hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are of very high quality, modern yet luxurious. It is easy to get to centre and there are plenty of ways to get to the sites. Thoroughly recommended.

This delightful little hideaway in Venice offers pleasant and comfortable accomodations in a lovely section of Venice. Many little restaurants are nearby, with a lovely piazza only a few blocks away where local families gather to let the children play while enjoying a coffee or glass of wine. This hotel is a bit difficult to locate - as with most small […] boutique style Venice hotels. A subtle brass plate is the marking, no neon signs here. The room was of a nice size - queen bed, chair, desk and a spacious bathroom with very nice, modern fixtures, including a shower with rain head and a hand held sprayer, bidet, and towel warmer. The hotel is very clean and contemporary. The breakfast room is lovely and the breakfast very nicely presented - cold meats, scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants (3 varieties), a limoncello torte, yogurt, juices, etc. The front desk was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. The mini-bar type snacks and bottled water were very pricey, but easy to ignore. The tiled floors are a bit noisy, but easy to maintain. A lovely courtyard has steps leading to the upper floor. The Domina Ca Zusto is nice hotel in a beautifully peaceful and interesting neighbourhood. Returning to the Ca Zusto from a day's tramping round the sites is like returning home. Step off the vaporetto at Riva de Biasio turn left and walk a hundred yards down a peaceful street and you in a different, more peaceful world. We drove to Venice from Milan, found the Hotel easily in a quiet residential part of Venice yet a short walk from the sites and bustle. The service given by staff was outstanding, we arrived earlier than check in to drop our bags, instead we were offered a coffee whilst the room was finished and checked in early. The room,was cosy, beautifully decorated […] and well equipped, a far cry from 'standard' chain hotel rooms-it reflected where we were. Modern yet romantic and Italian. We had a good buffet breakfast, the hotel does not serve food at other times which allows for exploring the choice of restaurants and Pizzerias when out for the day.(these are also cheaper in the area where the hotel is set) We will definitely be returning, for more than one night and maybe a room with a jacuzzi next time! This little hotel is a jewel in so many ways, location, cleanliness, service and ambiance. The location near the train station and Piazzale Roma can’t be beat. It is easy to get to with a minimum of hauling luggage. You just take the #1 Vaporetto two stops from Piazzale Roma to Riva De Biasio, turn left, pass an alley and then make a right at the first […] street and it is about 50 meters on your right. Or if you are coming from the train station catch the #1 Vaporetto from Ferrovia and it is one stop to Riva De Biasio. Going to the airport even at the crack of dawn is equally as simple. There is the “N” Vaporetto to Piazzale Roma where you can catch the #5 bus to the Airport. There is absolutely no need for a water taxi at $110 Euros. There is no dragging luggage over bridges and for long distances or getting lost trying to find your hotel through a maze of streets. You go about a block to a non-descript entrance on your right (zoning issues in Venice prevent big signs) with two classy looking little potted trees in the front and a glass door. Push the button for entrance and you are in the middle of a 14th century former home of the Zusto family (merchants who traded with the Jewish/Palestinian population in Venice - there is still a Star of David over an entrance that can be seen in the courtyard.) Lovely little courtyard, color scheme, and staff there to greet you. Some people may want to be closer to St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto but I found the crowds to be overwhelming and thought the Vaporetto ride down the Grand Canal each morning and evening, a tour in and of itself and the best deal in town given the price of tickets. It is also a wonderful photo opportunity for remembering this lovely city as well. If you have time to walk, it’s a great opportunity to see the back streets and less visited areas and Piazzas. The staff was VERY helpful with every question we had about dining, directions, transportation, etc. Very nice cold breakfast buffet. Our room was set up for handicapped so it was a little too cramped - large bathroom, small bedroom with almost no storage. I suggest making sure to specifiy that you do not want a handicap room (unless you need it). Quiet […] neighborhood about 10 min walk from Rialto Bridge and just one short block from both a water-taxi stop and a water-bus stop which makes it easy to access if you don't want to walk. (The water taxi system is very expensive, but you can buy the water-bus passes pretty cheap at main ticket places. This was a great Hotel. The personal was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms had LCD TV and Jacuzzi. Breakfast had fruits, croissant, champagne, cheese, breads, etc. Very nice and well served. I would definitely return.

Das Hotel ist etwas verseckt, liegt aber gleich an der Verbindung Bahnhof zu Rialto/Markusplatz. Das Hotel wurde kürzlich renoviert, moderne geschmacksvolle Einrichtung, wenn auch kleine Zimmer. Ideal für einen Kurzbesuch. Frühstück italienisch, einfach aber absolut OK. Kommen gerne wieder . . .

Hotel pas trop mal situé, au calme. Pas évident à trouver, aucune signalisation extérieure si ce n'est une simple plaque accrochée au mur. Vi (familie 4 pers.) har været 3 dage i Venedig og og benyttede 2 værelser til vores ophold. Begge værelser var venligt og lyst indrettet. Hotellet var lidt svært at finde....Men så absolut værd at finde. Super beliggenhed var medvirkede til, at det meste af Venedig kunne udforskes på gode gåture kombineret med "bus"....

nach wenigen Minuten rechts und links kreuz und quer durch die Gassen kamen wir vom Bahnhof Santa Lucia im Hotel an. Dort wurden wir freundlich empfangen. Unser Zimmer war sehr vergoldet. Die Klimaanlage konnte individuell eingestellt werden. Die Lage ist sehr angenehm ruhig. Eine gute Ausgangslage. Das Frühstück reichlich. Viele kleine nette Restaurants […] in der Nähe. wir kamen zur Biennale für zwei Nächte. Das Hotel ist für Venedig Standarf perfekt ausgestattett, modern, sauber, gut funktionierende Sanitäranlagen, sehr gutes Frühstückbuffet.

Sauberes, gepflegtes Hotel. Nicht weit vom Bahnhof undf wegvom Touristenrummel. Frühstückbuffet gut, leider kein dunkles Brot.

God beliggenhed, nær ved det meste, og dejligt nærområde. Fantastisk spændende interiør. - Hotellet er nyrestaureret overalt.

Das Hotel liegt abseits der grossen Touristenattraktionen von Venedig an sehr ruhiger Lage. Die nächste Anlegestelle des Kursschiffs ist nur etwas mehr als 100 m entfernt und so gelangt man in etwa 15 Minuten zur Rialtobrücke. Das Hotel selber ist sehr schön gemacht, neu renoviert und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Mischung von alter Gebäudehülle […] mit modernem Innenausbau gibt ihm einen besonderen Reiz. Das ganze Hausl macht einen sehr gepflegten und sauberen Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet aber etwas klein, das Bad dafür recht geräumig. Einziger Verbesserungspunkt wäre eine Ablage für Toilettenartikel im Bad. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist in Ordnung, dürfte aber für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie reichhaltiger sein. Schön wäre es, wenn man auch im Hotel etwas essen könnte, aber die nächsten Restaurants snd nur etwa 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Alles in allem ist es ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für Gäste, die das Besondere und die Ruhe schätzen und denen der relativ weite Weg zu den Touristenmagneten nichts ausmacht. Continua a leggere

Apartamento não é muito grande, mas bem decorado, café da manhã muito bom, próximo dos pontos turisticos de Veneza e tamb´em próximo a estação ferroviaria e ponto de desembarque do ferry boat.

Reisende ankomst hovedjernbanestasjon. Rett ned en bred trapp til avgang Vaporetto stasjonen. Billett til Riva de Biasio - ligger på høyre side i retning M.plassen. Gå av Vaporettoen og ta retningen mot venstre til neste hjørne langs kanalen. Deretter rett opp mot høyre til en beskjeden inngang til hotellet 5 min. Vår norske guide møtte oss ved hotellet […] og var helt overrasket over at vi hadde funnet frem i virvaret. Et lite designhotell i særklasse.Vi senket skuldrene og fant roen i flott dobbelseng, deilig varmt bad med masse hånduker, super frokost i atmosfære av ital. stil og eleganse. Gågatene fra hotellet brakte oss til byrom og torg langs andre kanalen enn utennom de overfylte turiststedene. Men kjente steder må også oppleves og da var vaporetto stasjonen 5.min fra hotellet den som brakte oss dit. Vi kan også anbefale "Vanntaxi" som brakte oss både til og fra cruisebåten. Alt var bra og vi traff en hyggelig Italiener som fulgte oss på rett vei. Hotellet bør nevne navnet på Waterbuss stoppestedet. Vi havnet helt feil i første omgang.

Ausgezeichneter Service, wunderschönes kleines Hotel das geschmackvoll modern renoviert wurde. Inmitten der Serenissima Venedig ein kleiner moderner Ruhepol mit allen modernen Einrichtungen. Sehr saubere und gepflegte Zimmer mit modernen Bädern ( auch mit Fenstern). Das Personal ist außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Keine Spur von der in […] Venedig manchmal so verbreiteten Überheblichkeit. Es gab tatsächlich keinerlei Grund für Kritik. Frühstück in einem wunderschönen Raum, sogar ein Innenhof mit antiker Treppe ist vorhanden, in dem man in der Sonne sitzen kann. Absolut empfehlenswert!!! Continua a leggere

Todella persoonallinen ja tyylikäs pieni hotelli rauhallisella sijainnilla. Hotellin löytäminen vaati hieman onnea, sillä Venetsian kartoissa ei ole aivan jokaista pientä kujaa merkitty tai kujan nimeä mainittu. Löysimme kuitenkin yllättävän vaivattomasti hotellin eikä kävelymatka rautatieasemalta ollut pitkä. Sijainti oli oikein oivallinen rautatieaseman […] ja päänähtävyyksien välissä rauhallisella alueella, jossa ei ryhmämatkalaisia liikkunut. Vesibussin pysäkkikin oli lähes kulman takana. Vastaanotosta saimme perinpohjaiset ohjeet kulkemisiamme varten. Hyvä aamiainen, vaikkei pekonia, nakkeja tai munakasta ollutkaan. Langaton netti toimi vain 1. kerroksessa, mutta saimme läppäriimme huoneeseen verkkopiuhan lainaan että pääsimme nettiin. Continua a leggere
