Il quartiere di Westwood infatti è strategico e centrale: è facile e veloce (traffico permettendo) raggiungere ogni attrazione della città. L'hotel è tranquillo, offre una buona prima colazione a dispone di un parcheggio gratuito per gli ospiti, cosa da non sottovalutare a Los Angeles. Molto bello, piacevole e ricco di ristoranti e servizi i quartiere circostante.

"good location and standing"
Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 4 gen 2013albergo perfetto per soggiorno di breve durata. noi abbiamo dormito lì 3 notti e siamo stati benissimo. ottimo il wifi free anche nelle camere ed il parcheggio interno gratuito (normalmente sono 20$/ notte). non è prevista la colazione ma è come averla poiché c'è a disposizione nella hall una macchina per caffè, cappuccino, ... e delle briosches enormi ... Vicinissimo alla Warner Bros (si va a piedi) e agli Universal Studios (bus diretto 10 minuti). consigliato.

Although the staff is friendly the hotel overall is par for the course. Location: Although on Wilshire Blvd it is not in walking distance of any restaurants or shops. Room: the room I stayed in was outdated 80s decor. Very drab & dark. "Sub par... Pool totally empty"
The hotel is further away than expected. Bathrooms are remodeled but the rooms are sub par... Pieced together. The pool was completely empty and looked... potentially under construction but no one was working on it while we were there. The hotel smelled like smoke as soon as you entered as well as had ash trays every few doors. Being allergic to smoke and the hotel being labeled as a smoke free hotel, was very disappointing. "Convenient Location/ Great Midcentury Architecture"
The location is very central, and the neighborhood is very nice and upscale. I love the mid-century modern architecture of the Wilshire Dunes. The pool area was torn up and appeared to be undergoing some significant rehab work when we were there this past weekend (2/15/2013); hopefully they will be finished soon for the summer season. "....old, dirty, misrepresented.."
Ok .. I saw the reviews, but booked it anyway because I had a meeting downtown early in the am.. would have paid extra for somewhere else, farther sway. Got to the hotel, watched other people arguing about conditions, got checked in by grumpy old Armenian guy and then saw what I signed up for.. Pool under construction, no laundry, no main restrooms […] and then the room.... Ich Hot, dirty, broken a/c, cigarette burns on carpet and furniture, blood stains on floor, smelled horrible and very thin walls... Go pay more somewhere else.. "Absolutely Unacceptable."
Just terrible, I booked several rooms because of the location just right for my needs. Arriving at the inn we noticed the police, ladies of the evening asking if anyone was ready to party... "Not worth it."
As soon as I walked in to the room I knew that I had make a mistake. For the price, I would expect carpet and bedspreads that are less than 30 years old. Both of which, seemed to harbor a funk that we could not get to escape. The room seemed quiet, and had ammenties such as parking and a pool, but that didn't balance the grunge. Service was not even O.K. The receptionist was not kind. I waited for 40 minutes to get my key. It was 9:00 p.m. when I called the front desk to ask a couple of shower towels, they asked me why I asked them towels and they said to wait until 9:00 am. next morning. "Cheap has a reason!"
Old style motel! Long registration with manual handwriting! 30 min to check in was a long as a first guest checking in at the front desk. Uncomfortable (too soft bed), lack of towels (only two towels for two guests???) Noisy air conditioner, heater and cooler. Would not stay again! I stayed here with my girlfriend when plans to crash with friends nearby fell-through. It was great for our needs. No funky smells, clean & soft carpets, soft-enough sheets, no leaks, complimentary wi-fi, good mid-town location. I would probably not go here for vacation, but it's perfectly suited for an overnight stay or quick economy visit for business. […] Good neighborhood, not loud or sketchy. I think the hotel is a budget hotel that could use some upgrading but the price was not outrageous for the area. It is a nice safe environment unlike many in the Hollywood area and easy to find. "Clean linen can't be beat"
Except for the late night staff argument, everything was as I expected for the price. The lobby and elevator reeked of cigarette smoke, but fortunately the room didn't. The sheets and linen were clean and the bed was comfortable. Except for the squeaking bed from the couple getting it on in the adjoining room, the night was quiet enough for a good sleep. "Inconvenient location and not coffee"
The facility itself is old, but seems to be well maintained. It has free parking and a decent pool (I used neither). It also has free wi-fi, although if you use Chrome as your browser, the login screen will not appear and the on-duty staff did not ask what browser I was using when I called to troubleshoot. I figured out that if I used the Internet Explorer […] the login screen would appear. The bed was comfortable. The TV does not have much of a selection and the remote that I had worked intermittently. The biggest problem is that is at least a half-mile from the nearest restaurant or retail. I had to make sure that I ate before I returned to the hotel as I was using public transportation.. What really got me was that the only coffee was from an old-fashioned vending machine. You know the kind that makes instant coffee drinks. I am doing a temporary job at Wilshire and Vermont for the next couple of months and I will be staying elsewhere. "Excellent value for money, close to the good stuff"
This place was a pleasant surprise. It's only a few minutes away from the Hollywood strip, so the surprisingly low price made me think that, well, something would be sketchy. But nope -- it was clean and comfortable, and even had a refrigerator to boot. We'll definitely stay here again. Oh, and free parking!Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

Clean, updated room. Comfortable bed. Hotel was too open to the street that I saw a vagabonder come in to use the bathroom in the pool area. So I didnt feel as safe. And the person that checked me in was not very helpful. I asked where the pizza place was, but he didnt offer a phone number or anything.There was no directory in the room or no alarm clock […] and only 4 channels on the TV worked. After a long trip I was very pleased with the location of. The Dunes Inn. It was right down the street from the event me & my girlfriend would be visiting later that night and was close to the Hollywood strip so after getting bored after 20 minutes we were able to easily make the trip and check out some local stores. The hotel room was average though! […] It &the bathroom was kinda small as well. Upon arrival I was given a usernam& pW for WiFi. IT DIDNT WORK! we tried to watch TV but the majority of the channels were in another language.. ALSO I am really big on comfort... The bed was okay but the covers were itchy After a quick nap I woke up feeling sick... It could have been because I slept with the air conditioner(swamp cooler) on but I was very uncomfortable being in the room any longer and we left for the night... After getting back the microwaves by the pool were convenient for a midnight snack before bed and cough drops! Oh! The parking is very open during the day but packed at night! Good luck finding a spot..i found one but it was next to a. White pillar and I wound up getting white paint all on my car smh... stay at the Dunes if you really need a place to sleep for the night while in town but if you want to enjoy yourself i advise saving more money & getting something better. I think I might have felt more comfy in a Motel but my girl is highclass so.. Next time imma have to save some lunch money...good luck and I hope this helped!
