Bellima atmosfera, personale disponibilissimo e gentilissimo.

The hotel is well located. Very close to the center of the city and nearby the Jerusalem nightlife. Service was very friendly and efficient. The food was good and enough. This was an hotel that I would stay at again.

"Kempinski Ishtar Hotel Dead Sea"
Some of the previous reviews had mentioned poor service and this was also true during our stay. It was especially true in the a la carte restaurants. In one we waited 30+ minutes for our appetisers to arrive (with apologies from the manager and waiting staff) and in the other, we waited 30+ minutes for someone to take our order. This was despite reserving […] tables prior to our visit in both. However, it must be said that the food was excellent when it did arrive in both restaurants. The hotel in-room brochures tell you that there are two visits per day by the housekeeping team but we had to call them each day if we wanted fresh towels, mini-bar re-stocking etc later in the day. We booked a very spacious Ishtar room that was situated in a 'villa' type block of four and near to the pool(s). There were always beds available and it was peaceful around the smaller pools despite it being the run-up to the Easter break. There are very few taxis available in the area and little in the way of choice if you want to go outside the hotels for meals. We ended up taking the more expensive option of a private driver for tours/trips etc. which worked out really well for us but be prepared to spend 100+JDs per day for this privelege. Do come prepared to spend a long time travelling if you want to visit other parts of Jordan. We were told at the hotel that Petra is a long, day trip with only a couple of hours actually at the site (unless you stay in Petra overnight) so we were fortunate in that we were staying at another Kempinski hotel later in our holiday (Aqaba Red Sea) and therefore experienced a shorter Petra trip from there (approx. 2 hours each way). We did however, visit Mount Nebo, the River Jordan, the Baptism Site, Madaba and 'The Panoramic View' from this hotel which was easily achievable in one day but is on the usual tourist list so can get busy but yet again, given it was in the run-up to Easter, was also quiet during our stay. Do also try the head-to-toe Dead Sea mud ma Continua a leggere

"Dead Sea Hotel"
This hotel is a palace. Great management - I had a booking problem, nothing to do with the hotel, and they helped me resolve it.

"Hotel Kempinkski - expensive"
We stayed here as a family for 7 nights. In hindsight it would have been better to tour Jordan and stay at various hotels. Car hire would have been quite easy and the roads were good and well sign posted. We did not want to stay at different hotels as we wanted a more relaxing holiday and thought that we could tour from the hotel. However, the cost […] of a driver to take us to Petra was very expensive. Because the hotel transport was so expensive it did prohibit us from going anywhere else. If you can, drive yourselves or arrange a driver through your travel agent. Unfortunately, the hotel was incredibly expensive in everything from food - transport - spa to alcoholic drinks - especially the alcoholic drinks. A couple had a bottle of wine confiscated on their arrival. So sneaking some in may not be worthwhile. We live in Saudi Arabia so were very much looking forward to a drink, but it was so very expensive that it limited our intake! We have stayed at 5 star hotels many times but this is the first time we felt like we were being ripped off. The level of service or quality of food was not what we would expect for such a hotel. It is a real shame because I read many excellent reviews before going - maybe we had some bad luck. I think if you only stayed here for a night or two you may excuse the expense, but for a whole week for four adults well... It is also a very very modern hotel in its design but too stark for us. Too much space and not enough chairs. The staff were okay, very pleasant, but not fast in service. The manager handled our initial problem very well as the top floor rooms seem to have a buzzing noise in the room. He did eventually find us interlocking rooms on the second floor which thankfully was nice and quiet. We had been recommended this hotel and told it was the best on the Dead Sea, but we didn't think so. If you have money to burn and don't mind spending three times the amount on one glass of wine of what it would cost you back home in a UK pub - t Continua a leggere
"Nice place to treat your self"
I admired the hotel landscape; it got very nice views & enormous swimming pools. Hotel is clean & well maintained, got different type of rooms & suites in main building & at pools area. I got an upgrade to a suite at the main building in the first floor close to one of pools; it was nice, clean & comfortable.
"quality but pricey once you are in there"
this is a beautiful well appointed hotel. Breakfast is amazing and all the pools are fantastic. There is also easy access to the dead sea and plenty of mud! I was there for two days with my brother who now lives in Amman. There's no town nearby so once you are there you do need to eat and drink within the hotel, and wholst the food is very good, you […] should expect to pay western hotel prices. Also to play tennis for an hour was 30JD which seemd a bit excessive so we didn't bother. all in a very impressive hotel which i would recommend to others Continua a leggere
"Top Quality Hotel"
Fantastic hotel to enjoy a stay at the Dead Sea. 5 * is well deserved by this hotel as the service and quality are excellent. The private beach is very handy. Food is good also. Has many pools for everybody tastes.
"Paradise with helpful staff"
This hotel really blew my socks off. I wish I could have stayed longer. It is set in a gorgeous setting with sunset across the Dead Sea, amazing swimming pools, restaurants, lounge areas, fantastic accommodations, and brilliantly helpful and kind staff. highly recommended
"Very Bad"
Most unfriendly environment, strange rules & very bad service when compared to the high price and the surrounding hotels. I visited every other hotel in Dead Sea and this was by far a horrible experience. When we first arrived, the receptionist said “we are the most expansive hotel in the area but we have the best service” and after spending 2 nights […] there, I wouldn’t spend 25% of what I paid to stay there again. "Wonderful Experience"
From the moment we left the security check at the gate and drove round to the main entrance and saw the staff waiting to meet us, we just knew we were in for something special. Cossetted and guided to reception with a hot towel and a fresh juice we checked in and found that we had been upgraded. Escorted to a golf cart with our luggage, we were taken […] to our room (one of a number of 2/3 storey villas) which overlooked a pool and the Dead Sea. Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction and for the most part, the hotel lived up to this beginning throughout our stay. With only a few lapses the architecture and design was very impressive including the grounds which were formal but not manicured to death. The pools and beach were spotlessly clean all with attentive and helpful staff. Of course the heart of any good hotel is the staff and in this respect the Kempinski can give itself a pat on the back. Everyone with very few exceptions were polite, attentive, always had a smile, happy to chat yet with no hint of fawning or obsequiousness. It would be invidious to single out any group or individual but we have to mention the girls who looked after the Sumerian Bar and the lads who manned the main entrance – rushing to fetch the car, chatting while we waited, checking to see if we needed anything – as particularly engaging. The hotel was far from full whilst we were there and on occasions it almost seemed that we were on our own – but you get the feeling that even when it is full it would never appear to be overcrowded. Our room was spacious and very well appointed including a balcony and a large bathroom. Throughout our stay the food was of the highest quality and whether breakfast, lunch or dinner – the standard of presentation equally so. Breakfast in particular was pretty overwhelming - there was a huge choice of hot and cold, sweet and savoury and as always, the staff in the Obelisk Restaurant were perfect in every way. Our only niggle with the hotel involves two res Continua a leggere
"A great Experience at the Kempinski Dead Sea"
THe Kempinski at the Dead Sea is a most elegant hotel in decor. The public spaces are open and feature walls of glass to enjoy the view. The rooms are large, immaculate and well furnished. The rooms in the main hotel feature large balconies. Their food and food service is excellent. This is a first class hotel and reasonable rates.
"Best Hotel Experience Ever"
This hotel rates highest of any of the hotels I have seen in the region or elsewhere. My fiancé and I first took a look at the Mariott up the street which was very nice, but was away from any nightlife. We decided to stay at the Kempinski because it was known to be a great hotel, we got a great rate (equal or better rates than the other hotels), it […] was near nightlife (which we did not end up taking advantage of), and it is the only hotel with a pool that stays open after dusk (open til 10pm or so, and it is mildly heated. Choosing the Kempinski was one of the best decisions I made during my stay in Jordan. It is the ultimate 5-star resort. It has great service, amazing restaurants (try the Thai restaurant), and even the inclusive breakfast buffet served was outstanding. In addition, the room was beautiful as was the bathroom in it. I was thoroughly impressed and thrilled when I entered the room. The worst part was that I could only stay one night! Continua a leggere

"Amazing"
Amazing hotel, beautiful pools and beachfront and amazing service for the hotel. The restaurants not so much. Slow service and less than attentive. Front desk staff, room service etc are all amazing.
"Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea"
This is one of the most superb hotels I have stayed in - and I have stayed in many. It is dedicated to people enjoying a relaxing time and this is easy to do. My room was extremely large and had wonderful bathroom facilities plus a separate sitting room. The only drawback was the excessively expensive prices at the spa. We took a tour and it was completely […] empty which makes no sense as the facilities are wonderful but I was not prepared to pay those prices and obviously other guests weren't either. We checked out the next door hotel and it was fairly much the same price wise. Access to the Dead Sea was excellent with mud available on shore and massage offered to those who wanted it. Plenty of restaurants and facilities to mind children. A number of fresh water pools in varying depths and shapes with excellent shade. Staff available with free water and to move sun umbrellas around when needed. Continua a leggere
"Dead Sea Kempinski - Great hotel"
Hotel was amazing with beautiful pools, rooms, bar, lovely breakfasts with champagne set over the deas sea and situated right on the dead sea with dead sea mud brought up each day to do a bit of a DIY mud wrap (which was great fun) if you don't have time to go to the spa. Had a lovely couple of evenings watching the sunset spectacularly over the dead […] sea with a cocktail and shisha (the pipes could be much more old school and beautiful, the plastic piping was a little poor). Not having the room ready when we arrived at 4pm was also a bit disappointing. However, all things considered, definitely the luxury choice in the area. Continua a leggere

"Sehr guter Service & Essen"
Sehr schöne Anlage, tolle Pool Landschaft, nettes Personal. Essen nicht 5* sondern eher 3-4*.
"Fliegenplage"
"Great resort and service"
We had a good times at Kempinski - the view from the 7th floor was astonishing, the pool area nice and the dinner at the italian restaurant was great and cosy. Can recommend this resort for a couple of lazy days at the Dead Sea.
