This hotel has a three star rating...I have no idea why. The beds should have been replaced years ago. They say there is free wifi -- three options available...we never got it to work. Room was Large and Quite Nice. But Hotel Entrance and Lobby and Breakfast Room were all Very Small & Tacky. I chose to eat at the McDonalds up the street. A Shopping Mall across the Street, but Hotel side of street also a bit of a Tacky Area. Hotel Signs said "Baymount" not "Mannuson".

Had last minute check-in due to issues with previous hotel... Baymont was easy to find, had good food restaurants nearby, a huge mall within walking distance and was still nice and quiet despite being close to the highway. I chose this hotel because I've stayed at other Baymont hotels that I've been happy with. Not pleased with this one, though - it hasn't been maintained properly and things aren't working, like the coffee pot in the room, and the fire alarms disarming during the night. I wasn't able to get a good night's sleep!

The hotel is a decent hotel for the price, but there were a few bugs, and very few amenities. It is close to a lot of stuff, which was nice, but for what we needed it worked, but I would not have my family stay there.

Returned to the room later in the evening around 11 and with only outdoor entrances to rooms was a little fearful of my safety. Also when pulling down bed sheets found stains & hair in my sheets. Didn't seem like the best location either.

This hotel has exterior entrances. The interior of the rooms are very nice and appear recently remodeled. The beds are soft (maybe a little lumpy) but, overall, the interior is quite comfortable. However, the exterior appears a bit rundown. The breakfast area is a converted room that is very small and cramped when more than 4-6 people are in it.

My room's door security latch was broken, one pillowcase had what looked like fresh (that is, not washed) stains on it, and another pillow smelled funny. All else was fine.

This hotel is very run down. We were on the first floor and did not feel completely safe as the rooms are outside entrance only. The beds were lumpy, lighting in the room very poor, and had bugs in the room! Breakfast was less than average - in a spare room that a guest would stay in (not like your normal breakfast dining area or conference room) and […] without anyone around, it was serve yourself with signs directing you to look in the fridge for extra items. Another inconvenience was the parking was on the total opposite side of the rooms, so you literally have to walk around one side of the building (on very unsteady pavement) to get to the rooms. the "breakfast" was hosted in a former hotel room, coffee watered down, eggs dry, only apples for fresh fruit....and a card table to sit around...only two tables......minimal cereal selection. Not good.

Hotel room was clean and really comfortable. However, the way the hotel is laid out makes it very noisy. Doors of the rooms face an outdoor patio area and it echos people's voices. We didn't sleep good our first night there (lots of people yelling), but the second night was fine. We had problems with our toliet - we asked for someone to fix and they […] never came and we ended up fixing it ourselves. What I like the most is the size of the room -- plenty of room. What I like the least is the bedding. The bed itself is comfortable, but the mattress pad is in such a bad shape that it's all lumps. The lumps are visible even when the bed covered with the comforter, which carries gray/brown stains of who knows what. The staff is friendly. The hotel […] had two rows of rooms, each has a corridor facing each other forms an atrium in the middle about 10-15 wide. There is a small fountain and a table in the atrium, so it seems nice. However, late in the night if there are guest who strays around in the area, the voice/noise get amplified by the small enclosure. It get really noisy. I would not stay there again. The room was clean and comfortable. The reception area is a joke. The "continental breakfast" is beyond a joke. The upkeep and general cleanliness was pretty bad. Someone had spilled something in front of the door next to us (red, thought it was blood at first) on day 2 of our 4 night stay and it was still there when we left. The courtyard area had […] a motorcycle parked there for what I don't know. The breakfast consisted of powdered eggs, microwaved sausage, a gallon of milk, 4 kinds of store brand cereal, make your own waffles with nasty syrup, and a box of wholesale danishes all in a converted hotel room with a card table and 2 folding chairs. I bought some cereal and milk to have in our room and my kids spilled a box of cereal on the 2nd morning. I cleaned up all the pieces but could not get the powder up of course. It was never vaccuumed up. When we returned to the room on the second afternoon, they had changed our sheets but left the old ones on the floor. They were still there when we left. The matresses are old and they have supplemented that a foam topper that bunches up and doesn't quite fit the mattress and the sheets are not deep enough to cover both so they came off the corners each night. This is the hotel I stay at when there is a discount available. The hotel is clean and the staff is nice. I've never had a problem here and it is why I come back. The breakfast is good if you don't have expensive tastes. I like the mini-bagels and the eggs/sausage. Comfy beds and pillows and the TV's are nice.

It took just a few minutes to check in and out, had fresh cookies. the room was of a great size and very clean. only con about the hotel is that it doesnt have an elevator in the hotel, stairs only.

At first glance upon arriving, we thought this might not be the best place to stay because the hotel had an older exterior look. However, we had a very comfortable king-sized bed, in a spacious room. So, I read some of the other reviews before arriving at this hotel. I have to say, I was a little worried, as I was traveling with 2 of my small kids. Some of the reviews make this place out to be some dive of a hotel... It is not. The neighborhood is fine. It is across the street from the local mall. It is an older part of town, but nothing that […] I would be concerned with above any other town when traveling. The hotel was clean and appears to be recently remodeled. The rooms were nice, especially for the price. Keep in mind, if you want to stay at a Marriott or something, do so. Don't stay here and rate it like a Marriott or other higher end hotel. Having said that, this Baymont Inn was nicer than some "higher end" hotels I have stayed at. Breakfast was a little weak...a converted hotel room serves as the "kitchen and eating area" so there are some draw backs. However, myself and my 2 kids all found sufficient food to eat and qualify it as breakfast. Sausage, scrammbled egg product, the normal danishes and bread products... Continua a leggere

A great little hotel that is supposed to be smoke free, but isn't! The rooms are spacious, the staff very friendly, but the rooms have a strong smoking smell. We stayed only one night and our clothes carried the scent home. This was my wife's and my only complaint. The hotel is very near the enterstate, we felt safe and secure, the staff was fabulous, […] the room plenty big enough for a family of 3, and the breakfast bar exceeded my expectations. Despite the smell, the room was otherwise very clean and comfortable. The staff checked us in 2 hours ealy on Christmas Eve so we could go and spend the rest of the day with family. They were very kind and speedy in the process. In the photos, it looks like this hotel has interior hallway access for more security. Actually, it has a large open area between two buildings and anyone can walk up to your room. The office is small and not at all like a nicer hotel. This is more like a motel that Baymont bought and put their name on. A house was right next door with a broken down […] chain link fence. The vending machines were empty and the washing machine was out of order. There was a sheet hanging down being used as a door to cover the entrance to the vending area. The surrounding area looks dangerous at night. There is no security to keep people from coming right up to your room. I did see two cameras mounted on the building facing the parking lot, but there usually was no one in the office unless you rang a bell. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. Continua a leggere

Very nice staff. The people staying there caused some problems. Fighting, and loud at times. Breakfast wasn't bad. but wish they would change it up. This room was very nice and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It had a very soft pillow top to sleep on. The staff was very nice. The only problem is that they say they have a pool, but you have to go to a Gold's Gym several blocks away to use the pool and jacuzzi because they don't have on on site. There were 3 floors, no elevator. The room wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen but, fairly decent. The rooms are all connected to a concrete system of hallways overlooking a concrete "courtyard"--it really amplified sounds/conversations from outside; fortunately there weren't too many guests when I stayed. The staff seemed friendly. The breakfast was […] really good...although, they had converted a hotel room into the "Breakfast Room"... they did have a security camera in the corner of the room though. The room was nice and clean and the price was excellent for the quality. We did have a bird's eye view of what appeared to be a manhunt by the local police. Not sure if this was a good sign of police protection or a bad sign of crime in the area. Slept well regardless.

Rooms were OK. Common area in disrepair. All rooms were non-smoking, but my friends room smelled like stale smoke. Pet hairs were found between the sheets. I reserved because of positive reviews. I will never stay there again. Front desk personnel was quite friendly. They quickly moved friend to another room, where the lock did not work, then finally […] a third room that was acceptable, with exception that the TV did not work.. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Albeit the manager was very courteous, the room was nasty, my room had not even been cleaned when I checked in. My best friend's room had "s*&t" on the wall in the bathroom, it had the smell of a cheap hotel in the lobby. Needless to say, we asked for a refund, and got it.

PROS - This hotel appears to have new carpeting and the mattress topper made the bed very comfortable. The mini fridge was very convenient. The room was clean and all of the amentities were provided as advertised. The desk clerk was very pleasant and told me everything I needed to know (breakfast location and times; WIFI password; location of ice and […] vending machines). CONS - The majority of guests I saw appeared to be construction or utility workers; I only saw one other female guest. There is a courtyard in the building with patio tables and chairs. Unfortunately some of the workers (guests) chose to sit at a table outside my room. While they were not excessively noisy, the noise was easy to hear in my room. Since guests are not allowed to smoke in the rooms, these men smoked in the patio area. Each time I left my room I was confronted with the smoke. Continua a leggere
