"Everything in one area"
Lovely hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was good with hot and cold items. Finally a good decaf!

Everything about the hotel was very good EXCEPT for the air conditioning in the room. The vent is in the ceiling and when the air came on every 3 minutes, it was like being in a wind tunnel aimed right at our heads. We finally had to shut off the air and opened the windows. We were in Erie to shop and this hotel couldn't have been in a better location. Minutes from the mall and Kohl's and all other shopping but located away from the traffic. Also close to the highway going to Grove City.....clean and friendly!

I have been to many hotels and I must say this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff was all courteous and helpful during our stay, but where they went over the top was when we were leaving. During the night, the area received 3-4 inches of snowfall. After breakfast, my family packed up our bags and I headed out to the car to put the […] bags in and clean off the car. To my surprise, the maintenance staff at the hotel had cleaned off EVERY SINGLE CAR in the parking lot! Talk about exceptional service! Stayed one night at the SpringHill Suites in Erie, PA on my way to Niagra Falls, Ontario. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning was awesome. Would highly recommend!

The Hotel has a wonderful personnel group very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good also. However, the construction of the facility is not very adequate for a hotel. The sound insulation between floors and walls is very poor specially for a hotel of this price. The location was set apart from all other hotels on a hill which was quite nice. Very close to a large mall and less than two mile from Splash Lagoon. The breakfast was okay, pretty standard and tasty. The hotel was very clean and I like their idea of using a sheet as a topper for the bed instead of a spread. I know that beautiful white sheet was just […] washed and freshly placed on the bed for my stay. The only draw back was the noisy doors! The automatic closures were strong and unless hung onto the door it slammed. All evening you could hear doors slamming all up and down the hall. We had a double-double suite that worked perfectly for three adults and two kids. The pool area was toasty warm and the water was not too cool. The staff was friendly. Check in was fast. The staff was friendly and very helpful. If we required directions, the directions were printed and explained. The room was large and comfortable. The pool was small but perfect for our small children. The breakfast was a surprise as well. It was a hot breakfast, not the usual continental. The kids always like making their own waffles. […] The room doors slam quite hard. This can be a problem on a weekend with full capacity you can hear anyone coming or going with the slamming of the doors. Overall a great experience. We were in Erie for a basketball tournament for a couple of nights. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was great. Location was somewhat convenient, though traffic in the area during the day makes getting in and out a little difficult. For the size of room and services offered by the hotel, and the location in comparison […] to other hotels closer to the interstate and other venues, we thought this hotel was a little too pricey. Comparable hotels closer to the interstates and the attractions in town had rates 30 to 40% less. For a better rate, we'd stay again, but at the same price, we'd go elsewhere nearby. During my stay; the weather was frigid, near blizzard conditions. The accomodations were excellent. Their closeness to restaurants & shopping is a definite plus. I'd stay at this hotel again when in the Erie, Edinboro or Meadville area.

Hotel was clean, housekeeping on the ball. Quiet. Room layout was nice, but there is no fan in the bathroom! Vanity around sink is small, so ladies, be able to pack it up when youre finished! Lighting over the mirror dim. Able to control thermostat easily

The room was very clean, and a nice size. The breakfast was amazing!! We came down for the Black Friday madness...this was our first year at the Springhill and we will definitely be back next year! Staff were very courteous. Bed was very comfortable (didn't want to get out of it at 2 a.m. to go shopping). We had a beautiful LCD t.v. to watch. The microwave […] and fridge were excellent touches as well. The only slight downfall, and this wasn't the hotel's doing - is that we had a ground floor room by the stairwell. Some very inconsiderate people decided it was no problem to go charging up and down the stairs at all hours, laughing and carrying on, making as much noise as a herd of elephants. The hotel, room, and breakfast area were all exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. The one thing that will probably keep me from re-booking a room was the fan in the heating/cooling system in this room. There were three of us staying in this room and we all agreed that each time the fan came on and off it woke us up, not giving us a good night's […] sleep. Very nice hotel & room EXCEPT for the uncomfortable bed and loud air conditioner. Every single time that air conditioner cycled on & off it woke us up. I've never had this problem before in a hotel.

"Nice hotel but room not what I expected"
We chose this hotel because it was relatively close to Presque Isle and because we thought it had a bedroom which was separate from the living room. They are separated a little by a wall that goes about halfway across the room but that's it. If you are expecting two separate rooms, don't. Other than that the hotel was nice. Always coffee in the lobby […] and fruit baskets scattered about. The breakfast is pretty good for being free. Also, there's a nice little patio out back for relaxing by a gas fire pit.
