Ottimo hotel,camere pulite e spaziose, proprio sul mare.Molto riservato e appartato. Proprio per questo ha un unico problema; lontano dal centro e da Oistins.Anzi non si trova proprio a Oistins come dice il sito e Hotels.com.Collegamenti bus buoni ma difficili a causa della somiglianza delle strade e delle fermate e dalla totale assenza di segnaletica. Idem se noleggiate un auto. Ci vuole un po per memorizzare la strada del ritorno.

L'hotel è proprio sul mare ...anche se devo dire che a Barbados ci sono talmente tante belle spiagge da visitare che diventa NON indispensabile la collocazione dellhotel.E' comunque buono per le volte che non si ha voglia di uscire. L'unica pecca (se proprio la vogliamo trovare) è la poca disponibilità al ceck out ritardato...era alle 12 e anche offrendoci di pagare una differenza non siamo riusciti a spostarlo di un ora.La posizione per la sera è leggermente (10 minuti a piedi) fuori mano se non si affitta un'auto o non si prende un mezzo di trasporto.Comunque noi l'avevamo, pertanto punteggio ottimale, camere molto ma molto spaziose (noi avevamo il monolocale), e personale disponibile.

"bring your own face towels"
No, they did not provide face towels. They had to get an iron from another room. The place was out dated and run down. We checked out early eventhough we lost money.

"My stay"
This will be my first hotel review I've left but I have to warn you. Upon arrival to the hotel, after nearly a 45 minute cab ride, I was greeted by the night watchman. They had my reservation and all seemed good. When we arrived to the room I knew I was in trouble when the only door to the room was a sliding glass door secured with a padlock! Yes, […] just like the ones you might see on a fence or shed. The very first thing I noticed about the room is the a/c is in the back bedroom separated by a door in the front room and it was like a sauna. No central air or cooling unit in the front half of the room. The appliances and dishes / cooking equipment was satisfactory once I got it working. The decor and entire establishment made me think of pre-1960's and when I came into the bedroom there were 2 single beds when I had specifically asked for 1 king bed. Now I have one king bed which is actually the 2 singles pushed together. The clock radio did not like to receive radio stations and the small tv is located in the sauna room so that was out. I found that the lamp was out of comission as well as the phone. The restaurant on the premesis had very poor quality food and the server was a bit slow, bajan style, and seeing as there was only one other couple eating when I was there it was a big deal. The staff on the front desk was good and very helpful but had the aire of being disturbed when I needed help with things. Not worth the money I paid. This place would be lucky to get half of what they charge a night in the states. Beach access in the area was difficult to find as well as shopping. If you want a place away from it all this is it. It's quiet for sure and the drinks are a good value at happy hour. The grounds are not very well manicured and like I said, the entire establishment is quite out dated for the price. overall a confortable hotel. it is very old fashioned and needs refurbishement but the rooms are very spacious and calm. the staff at reception were very professinal but the waiters ( well the only waiter) was very slow and nonchalant. the breakfast was not very nice ( fake coffee). we took some toast bacon and eggs and toast and it was ok. we did […] not eat any other meal. to sum up this is not a place of great luxury but a cheap convenient place in the West coast. we only spent 2 nights so we did not mind that service was slow and the hotle old fashioned. overall we recoment that hotel. "Hotel Europa Barbados"
We reached Barbados at 10:30pm and the hotel at 11pm. At check in, the night staff had no clue what was happening. The morning staff had left some paperwork which indicated that the room allotted to us was Room 9. When the security guy did take us there, there was someone already in the room. The night clerk had to call the supervisor and sort things […] out. Meanwhile, it is midnight now. Eventually they did find us a room, but not before tempers had started to fray. We were there only one night (we were in transit to another island), so I cannot comment on the rest of the hotel services and amenities. The staff certainly seemed friendly enough. But the check-in experience gave me a feeling that things were a little amateurish. Would I stay there again? Probably, seeing that it was not expensive. Our room was "Garden View" which really meant no view at all. We faced the boundary fence. There was a little piece of grass with some chairs where one could stretch out if the sun came out. There were other rooms around the pool. The buildings are one-storey with two rooms adjoining each other. There is a living room and a kitchen with fridge provided. No microwave though. The room has ceramic tiles and I would recommend a pair of rubber flip-flops for use in the room and bathroom. I couldn't see a beach nearby. Continua a leggere

"europa on west coast"
excellent value stay, place is old and dated but staff are friendly and geniune and abience is nice as this hotel dates from 60's didnt see the monkeys but they are around,very mom and pop where bartender is waiter and reception is manager. all and all you cant complain about price or space but new paint cant renew the 1960's fixtures, good for younger […] partiers, families and the retiree's or as a romantic get away , just dont expect 5 star unless you mean the staffs personality. Nice hotel and friendly people. What is missing is a microwave in the room and a dvd player because there is not enough choice in tv programmes
