ottimo, la camera era comodissima il personale gentilissimo da migliorare la colazione, gli infissi nelle camere si sentivano troppo i rumori esterni, materassi un po datati e la doccia. Molto comodo per gli spostamenti, zona molto tranquilla comunque sodisfatto.

Posizione

Una terrazza situata sul monte Tauro con una vista mozzafiato sulla costa della Sicilia e sull'Etna dona a Taormina il suo fascino senza tempo; è il luogo della Sicilia preferito dal jet - set internazionale. I vicoli stretti e scoscesi del quartiere antico sono ricchi di porcellane e terracotte dipinte e si consiglia di visitarli a piedi. Le principali attrazioni sono costituite dai resti dell'epoca classica e dai palazzi di epoca rinascimentale, mentre il teatro greco-romano viene ancora utilizzato per festival e concerti.

Hotel vicino al centro posizione buona, non rumoroso. Camera poco curata, bagno senza ventilazione forzata, biancheria bagno lascia a desiderare (salviette bucate). Scala accesso camera esterna e poco protetta, gradini senza antiscivolo. Colazione internazionale sufficiente di discreta qualità, l' acqua minerale servita è del rubinetto (4 o 5 bottiglie […] ogni giorno stranamente tutte aperte). Camera assolutamente comoda e pulita, il posizionamento dell'hotel inoltre favorisce la vacanza in quanto possibile raggiungere qualsiasi parte del paesino solo camminando
"Hotel mediocre"
La ragazza alla Reception è gentilissima e cortese. All'arrivo mi accorgo che la luce principale della camera non funziona e che il supporto della doccia non permette un corretto fissaggio della doccetta; uscendo per una passeggiata, chiediamo di porre rimedio ed al nostro ritorno verifichiamo che la lampada è stata sostituita e il supporto della doccetta […] è stato arrangiato alla meglio, ma non in modo efficace. Nella stanza non ci sono le tende. La parte di letto matrimoniale (si tratta di due letti ad una piazza affiancati) dove dorme mia moglie fa dei rumori stranissimi ogni volta che si muove. Accendiamo la TV e non si vede nulla; mi accorgo che c'è il cavo dell'antenna staccato e dopo averlo ricollegato sintonizzo i canali. C'è anche il decoder SKY. The hotel itself is an impressive facility set in very attractive grounds and close to the sea (although a 20-30 minute walk to main attractions in Syracuse e.g. archeological park and Ortygia). The hotel is located very centrally and the people at the hotel are very helpful. The pool was clean and there were enough seats poolside. The only drawback was the quality of the beds in the twin bed rooms - they were narrow and short and very firm.

Fantastic location close to Corso Umberto with great, friendly staff. Rooms are very basic (and small) but clean with an amazing view.....but the hotel needs a makeover. Suggest anyone staying here brings their own towels (hotel gives table linen), toileteries... Enjoyed my stay due to the staff but the hotel desparately needs refurbishment....

Before you think this hotel is reasonably priced, check out the fine print. We had to pay extra for air-conditioning. Also, I use a medication that requires refri.geration, and yes, you pay extra for a fridge. The room was spacious, but shabby. Payed publice parking is just 100 meters from the hotel (but I had the luck to park in front of the hotel). 2 blocks from all the turistic points. Good breakfest.

"Hotel Splendid - Wonderful spot"
This place is fantastic. 5 minute walk from the main drag and just slightly up the hill to ensure the best views. Our room over looked the ocean and the pool so it was just beautiful. Staff were always on hand to over assistance and help. Phenomenal non-tourist restaraunt on the street only open a few days a week.

Excellent budget hotel just 150m from the heart of Taormina & 250m from Cable Car. Room comfortable with all necessary amenities - towel change daily. Breakfast of great breads,croissants, eggs, cheese, meats, yoghurts, cereals, juice, tea & coffee. Staff attentive and friendly. Super value

"Pleasant experience"
The hotel is very good located, just minutes away to city centre. It is well kept and most importantly clean and tidy. Very nice staff who are both professional and friendly and had assisted us throughout our stay. Seaview rooms are recommended as they share splendid views with lovely sunrise arising over Reggio calabria. This is a wonderful tourist hotel with a very pleasant and helpful staff. The location is near the heart of Taormina. Driving to the hotel is a bit of a challenge, but worth the effort.

"Great service"
The hotel was great, but the staff was even better. We drove through the night and arrived at 8am. Because the hotel's check-in is not until 2pm, I thought we would have to sleep in the car or something. Instead, they cleaned our rooms as fast as possible, let us eat breakfast, and had us in our room by 10. They were great. The rooms are very simple, […] but you have beautiful views of the sea and it also comes with Sky TV (not that you should really be watching tv when in Taormina). Hej jeg har haft en god uge på Hotellet. Placeringen er sådan at man kommer forbi et lille super marked på vejen hjem, en lille praktiske detalje. Eller var alt fint, men prøv at få et værelse på anden sal eller over. pga. støj fra skutere på vejen uden for..

Hotell Splendid ligger bra och har enormt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Tyvärr är hotellet rätt kraftigt nedslitet och hade behövt både ordentlig rengöring och renovering. "Sentralt og hyggelig"
Hotellet ligger i gangavstand til hovedgaten, samtidig som det er det er lite støy akkurat ved hotellet. Hyggelig betjening og supert å kunne bestille sjåfør og solsenger til stranden til valgfritt klokkeslett. Fantastisk utsikt fra frokostsalen, litt lite område rundt svømmebassenget. Litt slitent, men rent.

Jättetrevlig och hjälpsam personal på detta "mindre" hotell i Taormina.Bra frukostbuffe(jättegott kaffe)! Liten pool där man kunde ta sig ett svalkande dopp. Bra läge med ett par hundra meters promenad till den centrala citykärnan med gågatan. Det enda negativa var att det inte fanns någon tvålkopp inne i duschen, så duschkabinens dörr fick stå öppen […] under tiden man duschade, för att kunna nå tvålen och schampot. Continua a leggere

Vi var väldigt nöjda efter 3 nätter här. Pool finns och personalen var genomgående hjälpsam och trevlig. Rummet var rymligt och fin standard. Frukosten var relativt enkel men bra! Skulle absolut rekommendera det här hotellet.

problème, mauvaise insonorisation, on entend le voisin de la chambre à côté, ronfler. Nous avons dû payer des taxes alors que le séjour déja payé était toute taxe comprise. Pour le reste , c'était bien.

Hôtel assez bien situé à Taormina, près de la rue principale et du funiculaire pour acceder aux plages. Personnels agreables, avec le sens du service. Nous avons passé deux jours sympathiques.

El Hotel Splendid está muy bien situado para visitar Taormina, al lado del centro histórico aunque fuera del bullicio. Lo mejor del hotel son las excelentes vistas al mar y la piscina, también con vistas. El desayuno es correcto: café, yogures, zumos, bollería, cereales, embutido, etc. Las instalaciones y las habitaciones necesitarían una reforma y […] modernización. Hotel très bien situé, proche du centre, très propre et bien tenu, piscine petite mais sympa. Suites très abordables pour les familles de 4 ou 5 personnes. Attention: en réservant sur internet vous aurez les chambres sans vue. Alors, appelez-les en parallèle.

Ett överlag trevligt hotell med ok standard. Bra att veta att lufkonditionering inte ingår i rumspriset, utan kostar extra/natt. Fläkt ska ingå, men kan behöva påminnas i receptionen. Vi hade betalat extra för ett rum med balkong och havsutsikt, helt klart värt de extra pengarna, verkligen vacker utsikt med hela havet framför. Hotellet ligger på bra […] gångavstånd till huvudgatan och många restauranger och affärer (inklusive mataffär). Finns även en helt ok servering vid poolen och en bar i receptionen. Vänlig personal som gärna hjälper till att förklara vägen till sevärdheter eller rekommenderar restauranger. Ner till havet är det en bit att gå, inte så lång sträcka, men ca 1900 höjdmeter. Bij aankomst was de receptie alles behalve klantvriendelijk. Bij aankomst op kamer bleek de airconditioning niet te werken. Bij melding hiervan aan dezelfde klantonvriendelijke receptionist meldde hij dat hij dat wist. Hij kon de airco wel inschakelen maar dat kostte € 10 per dag. De fan aan het plafond op de kamer functioneerde alleen als de verlichting […] was ingeschakeld. Dit impliceert dat deze 's nachts niet functioneert, aangezien het niet gewenst is om met het licht aan te slapen. Lijkt me geen goed hotel om door uw organisatie te worden aanbevolen, zeker niet als de temperatuur 's zomers rond de 35 graden is. Continua a leggere
"A pleasant stay"
A very nice hotel that is located very central in Taormina. Very nice view over the Sicilian coast. Nice pool, Staf over all nice. Breakfast is like any italian hotel breakfast. I will not go there again but i can really recommend it!

This hotel is situated in the heart of Taormina. When we booked the room, we diden´t reserve a room with a terrase, but got it. And it was amazing! The people in the hotel are very freindly and welcoming. The "continental" breakfast was not the best we have had. Bad coffee and hard bread, but again, what a view...

We spend 4 nights at Splendid in Taormina in September 2009. The hotel was situated perfect for us - walking distance from the city center and with a free parking spot a couple of minutes in the other direction. des conditions de confort dans la chambre plus que moyennes (clim payante par ex), accueil general moyen, petit dejeuner moyen (pas de fruits), les clients se font abordes sans la moindre gene par les employes de l'hotel (piscine), appels en pleine nuit avec insistance...
