"close to the beach"
I think that our stay could have been better. First we made a request if we could be on one of the floors 4-8. Nonetheless this wasn't even discussed when we checked in. "Don't Stay For the Weekend"
We really enjoyed our stay in an ocean front condo. However, there were no dish towels in the kitchen. I have a cleanliness rating of 3 because there were several hair balls in the room in the corners. On Sunday when we went to leave it took over 30 minutes to get an elevator because the whole hotel had the same check out time and there are only three […] elevators. When I spoke to the receptionist she said it happens every time the hotel is booked. Also, the wi-fi is very weak and does not work well anywhere in the hotel. People are only allowed to smoke on the balconies and as a result smoke came in to our room when we had the door open. Some positive points: the pools were great, the resort is ocean front and a short walk to the boardwalk and sky wheel. The hotel offers free movies. I stayed the weekend of 3/19-3/21 and the room and service were great. We were in a nice king room on the 19th floor(the top floor) and had a little trouble with the elevators all weekend. And when we went to checkout on Sunday morning, we waited 20 minutes for the elevator. After it reaching the 18th floor and going back to the ground (twice)! Our stay was a very pleasant one. The room was awesome!!!! There are a few complaints that I have with the hotel. 1) There needs to be more elevators. My husband and I and our 2 month old baby were on the 19th floor and we would wait at least 10-15 mins for an elevator. The day we checked out was the worst b/c we waited for 30 mins. Really clean and everyone was nice. Microwave worked when we got there, but broke. They took care of it immediately. Service was awesome. Our room on the 18th floor overlooked the ocean and the beach front and was really a prime location from which to view and photograph Ocean Front Boulevard, where the classic car parade took place. "Overall Very Pleasant"
This was my 3rd stay at Bayview and overall the visit was quite pleasant. I was disappointed that the normal preventitive maintenance was not completed. The tub had a slow drain so the majority of my showers were spent in ankle deep water and the clothes dryer did not function at all. "Awesome oceanfront condo !"
My family wanted to find a place on the ocean with a long, nice beach to walk on but at an affordable rate. Bay View exceeded our expectations. My family of 4 stayed on the 9th floor on an ocean front 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen. We even had a King size bed ! It was very clean, fairly new tile floors throughout with a beautiful view from our balcony […] of the ocean, new boardwalk and the fishing pier. Perfect location ! Even though it was off season, we went over New Years, the weather was still nice 40 to 60 degrees compared to the cold Midwest where we live. If we ever go back to Myrtle Beach, we would definitely stay at Bay View again, plus it's only a couple of miles from the airport which made it even better ! The rooms were very dirty. Outdated. Worn out. They use to have many utensils and pots and pans for one to cook. Now, barely anything at all in the kitchen.I was surprised because this use to be a great hotel and we used to go every year. It has changed a lot. Maybe new management. "Nice Winter Getaway"
I really enjoyed the 2 bedroom suite with 1 king and 2 full beds. The view was awesome. Housekeeping showed up 2 or 3 days out of our Tues- Sun stay. My boyfriend vacuumed, our beds were never changed. I'm not sure if this is normal or only in the winter months. Everyone was friendly. When the hk crew did come in, they were nice. Maybe the problem […] was they asked my mom if so and so needed to be done instead of just doing it. I think it should have just been done. Good thing we did not make a mess.
