The Creekside Lands Inn in Charleston, SC was our fifth stop on our spring break college visit road trip. This is a nice two story family hotel with a pool by the creek. The lobby is under renovation, and is comfortable and welcoming with jazz music playing thruout. We were an hour early, but were able to check in anyway. This allowed us to spend some […] relaxing time at the pool, which we needed after walking 6 college campus tours the past 4 days. We used an ap on our phone to choose a restaurant for dinner. The hotel was quiet at night, which was surprising because the next morning at breakfast in the hotel lobby we discovered the hotel was full! Stayed 2 nights, the price was super cheap compared to any other hotel downtown. Not fancy, not a lot of amenities, but it was clean and well-run. Shampoo was in metal foil things (like ketchup at a fast-food place), no conditioner provided. No coffee maker in room. Old acoustic ceiling tile in bathroom ceiling. First and, I think foremost, the place is very clean. I was a bit skeptical at first based on the obvious age of the furnishings, but once we looked past the age there was nothing to see but cleanliness. And despite my initial misgivings I also discovered that the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast room was being rehab'd while we were there, so […] one of the rooms had been converted into a makeshift serving area for coffee, juice and pastries. Since this is obviously a temporary set up, I'll leave any further comments on that to any guests who visit after they finish the work. My two biggest gripes and the main reason I gave only three stars on the overall rating are first, that although our roomwas non-smoking, I could smell cigarette smoke which likely originated from some long term residents smoking on the balcony outside our room and second, the water in the shower kept fluctuating from the nice warm temperature that I had started with to ice water and then back again. Hopefully when they finish with the breakfast room they will get someone to look at their plumbing. After reading that last paragraph some of you may reasonably ask why I didn't give the place lower marks. The reason I did not was because the place was kept very clean, had very pleasant grounds outside the room, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Taking all of that into consideration and comparing their prices to other hotels/motels in the area, I think three stars is about right. Continua a leggere

the hotel needs to supply a computer for guest usage if only for local information

Interior is shabby and dinged, but very clean. Most staff helpful and friendly, with the exception of one young lady who clearly wished to be elsewhere. However, the other two I met went out of their way to accommodate my wishes. There was a glitch on my room request; my smoking preference was not displayed on their end, but this was corrected with […] only a little wobble. I have stayed here twice and I really like it a lot. The marsh view is lovely and it is a quiet and restful location. Downtown is an easy 15 minute drive. If you are very fussy about appearance, it may not be the place for you, but if value and convenience matter most, then you may just love this place. Continua a leggere

This place is clean and convenient. It is in some serious need of updating and airing out. The bed was not as comfortable as it should have been, but I can't complain much for the price. It was affordable, but as I said, in need of a lot of updating. The location makes it a great choice, but not the accommodation. Everyone was friendly, but that's not […] enough to distract from the outdated rooms in my opinion. I didn't eat breakfast there, so I can't comment on that. Was a quiet clean room not far from the interstate. Would def stay there again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right next to a creek that my brother and I swam in as a kid. Brought back a lot of good memories. The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice. For the price you cannon beat it and it is within driving distance to get to anywhere in Charleston. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is just past all the congestion south of Charleston, right on the Savannah Highway. It was comfortable and clean. Everything worked. The room had a frig and microwave. I unplugged the frig because it was a little noisy. Staff was courteous and they even had a small breakfast (not much to get excited about). I thought this was a good value […] for the money. I'm not a picky person but this motel had dirty sheets and towels and they also had holes in them. i did like the breakfast though.

The hotel was lovely - the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have now stayed at the Creekside Lands Inn on three different occasions in the Fall of 2011. I have never seen a bug. The room is clean. Breakfast is your basic mostly-carbohydrate fare. It's inexpensive, basic lodging. You can stay here two nights for the same price as you would pay down the street for one night.

Older motel located on outskirts of town. Free wireless was nice. Needs updated. OK place for an overnight stop, but wouldn't stay longer than that.

We love the beach at Kiawah. This hotel fits the bill for easy access to the beach, we go every day for a week in the summer, and spend little time at the hotel. We have stayed at this location for 7 summers. Every year there appears to be ongoing maintenance in the room we are in that year - in the process of completion: spackling of walls, etc...You […] don't get the feeling it's anything but bare basics. No coffee maker, but they have a small refrig and a microwave. It all depends on how much time you spend in the room. Beds are not the most comfortable and by the end of the week, you are feeling it, but for location, and bare bones basics, we always stay here. Unfortunately, I requested a smoking room for the week when I made my reservation in May, and on arrival we were given a non-smoking room, they said they had only 2 smoking rooms and someone had extended their stay so we would be moved if they could, but they couldn't say for sure. Since we just arrived, I wanted to resolve the problem then, and move elsewhere if they couldn't accomodate us. Their response was Charleston was going smoke-free next year, and they would move us if the other party left, they couldn't say for sure. Therefore, I wanted to see if we could leave and get a refund right away. Since I was getting nowhere, Hotels.com called for us, and the hotel then moved us to another room. Was glad I booked this year thru Hotels.com. Would like to come back to Charleston, but think we will break tradition, and spend a little more next time and try a place up the street. The hotel is overall priced. It is not well-maintained; the tiles of our bathroom were dirty; the breakfast was worthless (just muffins). On top of all of these, the wi-fi connection was very very horrible. I called the front desk a couple of times during the afternoon hours but the lady receptionist didn't answer. Great Hotel.

We had a good stay.The people there are very nice and helpful. We will stay there again.

I would recommended this hotel to others It is a very nice and clean place and the peoples are very nice .

This was a decent overall experience. The negative was that the floors didnt seem clean, primarily the bathroom area, and the room smelled like sweet pineapple air refreshner. Very Strong! The location was about 30 min on average from everything there is to do in Charleston. The attendants were very friendly however.

This Hotel is an older, poorly maintained budget hotel. The rooms smelled poorly and our refrigerator didn't work. There was a large Dog that appeared to belong to another guest that roamed the picnic area and parking lot freely,all the time, which we did not appreciate. a poor choice/bad value

Deze oude Quality Inn is overgegaan in andere handen, buitenterrein is mooi gerenoveerd, maar had dat liever bij de kamers gezien, oude donkere kamers met oud versleten en kapot meubilair, een stinkende koelkast, een deur met een kapotte cardreader. Onze eerste kamer was met een tapijtreiniger schoongemaakt welke ons zo op de keel sloeg dat we ons hebben […] laten omboeken naar en andere kamer. Personeel wel heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en excuses makend. Dit budgethotel ligt aan het begin van een toegangsweg naar Savannah en er is werkelijk niets in de omgeving op loopafstand. Centrum op 8 mile, dus auto verplicht. Wij betaalde teveel voor deze kwaliteit, niet meer dan 1 ster. Ontbijt in de lobby, 3 tafeltjes, sober maar netjes. Continua a leggere

Literie et dejeuner correct , Le cadre ( malgré un eloignement assez important de charlestone) avec tables et ponton en bois est agreable.Rapport qualité prix correct.
